2- We Hate Her Guts

Jen ' s POV

The bell rang, meaning that school was finally over. I grabbed my history books off of my desk and walked up to the teacher's desk.

Mr. Kinloch was the nicest teacher I knew, well, he was kind to me. Many people thought he was the worst teacher you could have and often said that they hated them but that wasn't true. I mean, you're not a bad teacher if you like to have the work you give out done on time.

"Hi, Mr. Kinloch," I grinned and he smiled while folding his hands on his desk.

"Hello, miss Benson, what can I help you with?"

"As you know, Christopher isn't here today so I was wondering if I could get his homework for him." He opened his desk while taking out the assigned homework.

"How sweet of you, here you go and have a great day!" He beamed while he handed me the papers.

"You too!" I then proceeded to leave the classroom with a grin. I walked to my locker and opened it.

Our school didn't have locks on our lockers because we were such a small school and everyone knew everyone so it wasn't likely they were going to steal something.

I heard familiar laughter behind me causing me to smirk. Kendall and the new girl, what's her name? Sarah? Suzy? Oh, it's Sam! They walked up with large grins plastered on their faces.

"What's so funny?" I asked while piling all the books I needed for homework   into my backpack.

"Oh, just that Sam met Kirsten." I gasped taking in what happen to Sam. I looked at her surprised to see no egg shells all over her or paint or anything that could stain your clothes.

"No pranks?" I wondered aloud.  The thing about Kirsten is that he's incurable prakster.

It doesn't matter what you say to the guy, he'll just keep pranking. If you're cute, he pranks you, if you're ugly, he pranks you, if you're mean, he'll prank you, if you're nice, he'll prank you. So, you have to be on your toes at all times around him.

"She's lucky," Venny said as she walked up with her bag, ready to go. "Last year, he put a mouse in Sidney ' s purse so when she opened, well, everyone went crazy."

"Sidney?" Sam raised an eyebrow. "Who's  that?" An irritated look found its way upon Venny ' s face as she began to speak again.

"She's that worst girl the whole entire world. She's a total bit-" I placed my hand over her mouth while sighing.

"To put it simply, we hate her guts." Venny pouted while removing my hand.

"I don't just hate her guts, I hate every single part of her!" Kendall giggled reassuring Sam not to be worried. The look on Sam's face was pure dread.

"Don't worry," I smiled while slinging my backpack over my shoulders. "She moved away to Paris with her parents in the middle of the year, last year." She nodded and we began walking through the halls.

A familiar blonde made his way over to us and slung his arm over Kendall leaning all his weight on her. She groaned while trying to push him off.

"Ewww, Jared, get off me!" Kendall exclaimed causing Venny and I to Rome our eyes and Sam to laugh. Jared continued to tower of her but directed his attention towards Sam.

"So, you're the new girl?" Jared asked, ignoring Kendall ' s attempts to push him off. Sam nodded at the chubby male. "Interesting, you know, I'm single and, well, I've got an eye for cuties like you." Sam giggled and smiled.

"Yeah, she's gonna have to pass," Kendall answered for her and finally got the big oaf off of her. "Don't mind my brother, he doesn't know anything." Jared sent her a sarcastic glare.

"Oh, really? Is that why I got and A average and what was your average? Oh right, B's  on every subject." The triumphant  smirk on his face brought a smirk to mine.

"Just leave us alone, Jared," Kendall pushed him away. "And go to your friends. Oh, wait, you don't have any!" Jared pouted but walked away. Kendall let out an irritated sigh as well as Venny.

"I can't believe I had a crush on him," Venny stated while rolling her eyes. I sighed while having trouble remembering the time she had a crush on him.

"I'll see you guys at Smoothie  Shack in a little bit." I waved and they walked off to Kendall ' s car. I sighed while putting my backpack in the basket of my bike and hopped on.

Sam seems nice, I thought while riding, she's really nice. But why did I ask her to come to the Smoothie  Shack  with us again? Oh yeah, to get to know her!

I parked my bike in the driveway and walked up to the white painted door. I drew in a deep breath before knocking. The door opened minutes later revealing Christopher ' s mom. Oh joy, another round of rude comments.

Her smile faded leaving a frowning woman. Her brown eyes were filled with hate as she glared at me.

"Why are you here?" I put on my happiest smile still hoping that I could win her over somehow.

"Hi, Mrs. Brown, I'm here to see Chris and give him his homework." She stepped aside allowing me to come in. She didn't say anymore as I began to make my way to his room.

The thing about his mom is, if you haven't noticed, she hates me. It doesn't matter what I do, she's always gonna be there to undermine my confidence. I tried everything on her but she still hates me.

I knocked on the door to hear a light moan in response.

"It's me!" I sang and tried to open the door but it was locked. "Unlock the door!" I yelled while bagging on it. I heard muffled movement on the other side and the click of the lock. Once the door opened, I embraced him in my arms.

He tensed up for a moment but his arms relaxed and found their way to my waist.

"I missed you today," I mumbled while enjoy the warmth he gave. I could feel him chuckle.

"I missed you too." He pulled slightly and looked down at me. "Hey," he whispered while pulling my chin up with his finger. "It seems like a little more than you missing me, are you okay?" I took in a deep breath before answering.

The concerned look on his face made me want to cry. I couldn't lie to him, not again. But if you don't, it'll only hurt him more. I sighed while putting on a small smile.

"Just fine," he face calmed and he smiled back, "just hard being back at school without your boyfriend." He nodded.

"I know the feeling." I laughed while pushing him. He laughed along and kissed me softly. "I'll be back tomorrow, don't worry." I nodded.

"Now, time for the real reason I came here," he raised an eyebrow, "Homework!"
