Chapter 3: The fight
Everything started off like a normal day, work was easy and boring as usually and Nash called to see if we could spend time together which I agreed to. I went over to the palace the guards let me through and I go up to see Nash, though surprisingly he's not in his office. I checked his room to see if he was there, I knocked on the door and waited for an answer. A "one moment" came from the other side of the door, I waited patiently for him to open the door leaning against the wall playing on my phone.
A few minutes later Nash opened the door, I could tell he just got out of the shower. I remember reading something about how taking a shower actually helps to ease stress so I hope that helped with any stress Nash had from work that day.
"You called?" I says in a somewhat seductive tone.
"I did, I would like to spend time with you. Just the time of us." He says with a smile.
"I'd be more then happy to spend time with you." My eyes light up, we usually didn't get that much alone time.
Nash offers me his hand and I take it, we go to see a movie together out in the city then we stopped off at a nice restaurant for dinner. The night was wonderful and a few days later we were invited to a party at one of the kingdoms that Nash traded with.
I went with Nash to the party as my female persona of Diamond, the party was nice and I got caught up talking to a young prince about Nash's kingdom and about Nash himself. I only had positive things to say. I made sure to be as formal as possible and to make sure Embers didn't do anything to get me and Nash in trouble. Lately he's been quite which I find a bit odd but I don't question him about it.
Nash just so happens to be watching me and I was laughing about something while talking to the young prince. After awhile the party ends and I leave with Nash, I made sure not do anything like drink while I was there. On the ride home Nash is quite I just thought he was tired that is until we got into the palace and into the privacy of Nash's room.
"Tell me something, were you flirting with that prince?" Nash asks me a bit angry.
"What do you mean?" I was generally confused.
"I saw you talking to that prince, you were flirting with him weren't you?!" Nash yells at me.
"I wasn't flirting with anyone, he was asking about the kingdom and you. I didn't say anything that would give the kingdom or you a bad reputation." I tried not to yell back at him.
"Then you were trying to make me jealous like before, because Embers suggested it. Was this his idea again or were you acting all on your own this time." He didn't yell at me but it wasn't hard to miss how upset he is.
"Embers has actually been very quiet these past few months, we haven't separated at all or even talked internally. You told me not to ever think like that again and I haven't, I would never do anything to upset you." I try to hold back my emotions.
"Then why were you flirting with him instead of being by my side." His voice softened a bit but he sounded hurt and betrayed.
"I would of just stayed by your side had you told me but I promise you I wasn't flirting with that prince."
"Liar, you were having a good time with him instead of being with me." He crosses his arms and turned away from me.
I just wanted to brake down crying but I kept myself from doing so. "I promise you I wasn't flirting with anyone, I wouldn't do that to you."
I could see it, Nash was trying hard not to go off on me but he really wanted to yell at me.
"Just get out of my site."
"As you wish." Is all I could say, I left without another word back to Barain World.
Once home I hide in my room going back to my male form and clothes, I broke down in tears feeling that I had done something wrong and screwed everything up. My demon half tries to comfort me but I push him away.
"Just leave me alone." I say through my tears.
Embers does as I ask and leaves me alone.
