I went to the World of Corruption like I did any other time Nash called for me. I waltz right up to the gates and tell the guards I'm there to see Nash, they let me in. Some of the servants greets me and I greet them back, acting like this is just a typical day. I find Nash in his office like usual and get his attention by knocking on the door.

"Come in." Nash calls as he's reading over a document.

I come in and greet him. "As busy as ever I see."

"Yeah, one of my trading partners is getting ready for war."

"Did they ask for your help?" I go and sit beside him, making my engagement armbands appear so Nash doesn't think I'm not wearing them.

"Not yet, though I expect them to later." Nash replies and rests his head on my shoulder.

"Tired dear?" I ask softly.

"A little but work must be done."

"Why don't you relax and I'll finish the rest of the work for you." I offer, seeing as my day at work was boring and I didn't do much.

"You sure?" Nash asks hesitantly, like he doesn't want to burdened me.

"I'm sure, work was boring and I didn't do much." I reply with a sweet smile.

"Alright, just don't overwork yourself." He gets up and leaves the room, probably to get something.

I start on the work, it only takes me two hours to complete it with a few papers set aside because I'm unsure of what to do with them. Nash checked up on me frequently and asked if I need anything but I told him sweetly that I was fine.

After the work was done I asked Nash to look over the papers I wasn't sure about. He looked them over and did the work for them which took him less then five minutes. Dinner rolled around and I went with him to the dining room. There the other emperors greeted us, we talked and ate like usual. For now I casted my worries aside and enjoyed the company of the others.

Life continues on like this for several months and I'm starting to think that everything is going to be okay and the small fights me and Nash had before didn't matter. If only I wasn't such a fool... if only I had realized that this was just the calm before the storm.
