Making conversation, smiling and everything in the room seemed normal to an outsider. But the tension and awkwardness between you and Jimin didn't go unnoticed by some of them, specially by Vinny. She was furious that Kiya walked in linking hands with Jimin to destroy her whole plan. She watched you seated in the corner trying to avoid looking around as your emotions were unsettled. She forced you into this and now she was feeling bad.

"Jungkook, can I talk to you for a minute." Using of his full name and the tone Vinny just used, he knew that something was wrong. Wrong in the sense that he was in trouble. But he couldn't put his finger on anything that he did to make her upset. So he gives a nod and stands up from his seat to follow his girlfriend to a corner. 

"What's up? Everything ok?" He asks trying not to react when he sees her pissed off face.

"No! Everything is not OK! Did you just invite Kiya without telling me?" She shot directly without going around the topic.

"Y-yeah! I mean.. she's our friend so I thought of inviting her too." Jungkook immediately knew where he screwed up tonight. He knew that his girlfriend isn't very fond of Kiya but he didn't think that this would be something to irritate her. Besides, he had an ulterior motive.

"I know she's your friend Kook. but she wasn't suppose to be here. You ruined everything. This was supposed to be Y/n's time with Jimin not that snake's."

"What do you mean?" Jungkook couldn't help but furrow his brows at this and Vinny matched to that.

"What do you mean by what do you mean?" Vinny asks getting annoyed by the second. 

"What do you mean by Y/n's time with Jimin?" His voice was serious.

"Don't tell me you have been too blind to notice the things that's been going on. And paid no attention to the things I've been rambling the past few days." Vinny narrowed her eyes at Jungkook and he just shrugged looking guilty and clueless for a second. She sighed and filled him in since she couldn't hold back anymore. "Jimin and Y/n are obviously attracted to each other and had a thing going on.. but that dumbfuck messed up everything and now I'm trying to help them out creating a small plan. But then YOU... messed up everything." Vinny threw her hands up in the air feeling frustrated. 

"What? Y/n and Jimin? No way..No way." Jungkook blurted out without thinking much.

"What do you mean no way?" Vinny visibly frowned crossing her arms in front of her chest. Jungkook saw the look on Vinny's face and he knew that she was serious as well.

"Look, I don't know what you were going to do tonight but one of the reasons I invited Kiya was because I want her to be close to Jimin. She has been crushing over Jimin for years and I get that why Jimin didn't get attracted to her in the past but now she is changed. So I think that she is a good match for Jimin now." Vinny scoffed at that and looked away as she tried to stay calm. Jungkook saw her mood getting worse so before she could misunderstand he wanted to get one thing right as he spoke.

"And I want you to know that I have nothing against Y/n. Just as much as you love her, I love her too.. she and Jae are like family. I care for them a lot and I think Y/n is amazing. But babes.. Jimin is my best friend, my buddy, my brother... and I want nothing but the best for him as well. He went through so much and beared so much at young age. And now it's his time to be free and happy with no burdens. He deserves a chance to feel free and live a simple life. And I want him to start it from a place with no major responsibilities." 

 This time Vinny snapped as she looked furiously at her boyfriend. "Oh yeah. Who are you to choose for Jimin? He is not a kid Jungkook. He is a grown ass man who can decide for himself what he wants and where to start. And what makes you think that Y/n will be a burden to him? Is it because she got a kid? And when did matters of heart needed evaluation and comparison?  I'm so disappointed in you right now. And if anyone deserves the best.. then it's Y/n. And FYI.. She is thousand times better than that snake friend of yours." 

Jungkook knew he kind of messed up. He shouldn't have said it like that and he needed to make her understand, but talking about it right now wasn't a good idea so he just took a deep breath and placed his hands on her upper arms.

"Look babes... can we talk about this later. Now isn't a good time and everyone is waiting. Why don't we get over with this first, hm?" He asked in a calming tone. Vinny knew that he was right, now is not the time for this even though she didn't like what Jungkook said earlier. She had no choice but to agree in that moment.

"Fine.. But I'm not done with you. One more wrong move.. you will see my wrath. You inviting her behind my back is one, talking about my best friend was two and I'll keep my eyes out for the third and last." With that said Vinny just walked away and Jungkook sighed as he followed.

Your head slowly snapped up when Vinny walked back into the living area with a grumpy face and Jungkook behind her with a long worried face. You wondered if your friend gave him an earful because of what happened. You saw the unpleased annoyed look Vinny had when Kiya walked in earlier, she never liked her before and now you can only assume how worse it is. 

Your heart was not at ease, so many mixed emotions were rushing through you and you didn't know which one to focus on. You have been avoiding Jimin and Kiya by refusing to look in their direction. You knew that if you did, you would know how it'll exactly feel and you were scared to acknowledge it wondering if its too late. If Jimin never really liked you and you were just a pity distraction. And if Kiya was right about them almost getting together and that he likes her more than anything. You didn't want to confirm any of that, you didn't want him looking at her the way he looks at you. The look that said everything that you need to know. 

"Y/n, You will be bringing Jae to the wedding right?" Mel who was in a deep discussion with Namjoon asked suddenly getting your attention. You looked up across you to where they were seated before replying.

"Yeah. I'm planning to. Why?" 

"Good. We are just arranging a place for the kids with two care takers so that they won't be bored and the adults could have their own fun as well." She wiggles her brows and Namjoon chuckles showing his dimple.

"Sounds like a good plan." You say and avert your eyes when her fiancé leaned into give her a peck. But instantly you regretted the side you picked to look away.  

Sudden flame of rage burns on your cheeks when you see Kiya reaching out to touch Jimin's thigh and give it a light squeeze. Jimin didn't seem to like it since he stiffened a bit but you weren't 100% sure. Jimin didn't seem very lively and smiley like he normally would but still he looked up at her and gave a soft smile and whispered something into her ear, making her giggle.

 The bitter taste in your mouth returns, followed by an uneasy feeling in your chest. As if there are sharp claws raking down your insides the more you watch them together. But this time, you finally know exactly what it is.

Jealousy.

And just like that, everything finally sinks in. Everything that you had been denying comes forward, engulfing you in waves without giving you a chance to escape. Then Vinny's words come back to you, ringing inside your head like a taunt—

"Just admit it, you are falling in love with him."

Yes, you are finally admitting it. You kept refusing to admit that it could happen, but now it just seems impossible to stop it from happening—because it already has happened. It's not that you just like him.. You love him. You have fallen in love with Jimin. But is it too late now?

You could only look on ahead in silence, keeping a straight face each time you see someone glancing your way. But it was hard when Kiya kept getting closer to Jimin, almost rubbing herself on him. It was not so long ago that you were hugging, kissing and holding hands. You still felt his touch and his warmth on your skin. And you didn't realize how much you missed those and missed him till now. Vinny's words rang in your ears again, 'He gave you his heart and you slapped it back on his face.' 

You can feel the heat of your tears pricking at the back of your eyelids at that and now when you see Kiya's perfect nails keep raking down Jimin's arm as they talk to each other. Your own nails are slightly buried into your palms when you see her continuously flirting and flaunting herself to Jimin, from pulling her shoulders back to practically shoving her breasts to Jimin's eyes, then laughing excessively to whatever Jimin is saying to her.

You cannot help the burning jealousy that keeps pushing on and keeping a straight face quickly becomes a strain. There is no way you could stand keeping this terribly broken mask on until  this dinner was done. But you have nowhere else to go, it would just make Vinny feel more awful after she put so much effort on this. 

Then, as Jimin suddenly turns to glance at your way, you quickly look down on to your lap, playing it off as if you are busy scrolling down your phone, knowing that it would be too easy for him to see what you are feeling if he ever meets your eyes. With your head down and your eyes looking away, avoiding his eyes and his intense gaze, you curse yourself for letting this feeling grow this far and for failing to notice its presence until it is too late. Far too late. 

Not wanting to be in this seat any second longer, you excused yourself to whoever was next to you and went to the washroom. Vinny saw the hurt in your face and watched you go inside, she turned to Jungkook who was across her and kept glaring at him, making him gulp uneasy as he was beginning to see things he haven't noticed before. 

After taking good few minutes for yourself, you took a deep breath and opened the door to walk out. Taking slow steps down the hall you forced a smile and looked up to turn to the living room. But you froze in your spot a little when Jimin stood there with an expression of uncertainty on his face as he held himself, rigid and unmoving with arms cross, back leaned against the wall. For a second you thought maybe he was here for you as you could do nothing but stare, spellbound at his beauty. But something pulled tightly inside of you when Kiya walked over and placed her hand on his arm. He turned to look at her and gave a small smile when she whispered something to him, he gave a nod and turned to go back with her.

Letting out a hesitant sigh, you walked back to see everyone gathered and seated together as Hoseok was laughing and telling something funny. Yoongi looked up at Jimin with narrowed eyes for a brief second and shifted them to you. You wanted to look away because you felt like he was seeing right through you, but instead you smiled and went to sit next to your best friend who seemed to be avoiding Jungkook. 

"Everything alright?" You ask Vinny.

"Not really." she gave a short reply because she knew if she spoke more, she won't be able to control her mouth. Vinny is someone who would raise hell and go to war for someone she loves. And her major weapon would be words. You could see that so many things are running in her head but she is trying to keep cool in front of others.

Sudden clearing of throat got yours and Vinny's attention. When you both looked up, it was Kiya who was seated between Jimin and Jungkook now. "JK, Can I have some water please. My throat feels dry." She coos and Jungkook turns to Vinny. "Babe can you get her some water if you don't mind." Jungkook's voice was hesitant and he avoided looking straight into Vinny's eyes. You felt Vinny getting more irritated but to yours and Jungkook's relief Hoseok and Sarang asked for some water too. 

Since they were guests, Vinny couldn't ignore and forced a smile before going into get some water. When she returned she went ahead and served the others first making Kiya wait. "It must be hard to maintain looks when having kids. I feel bad for her." Vinny snapped her head when she heard Kiya commenting about your looks to the two guys. Oh no she didn't! Bitch, my best friend is thousand times prettier than you! Vinny wanted to shout at her but she didn't. Instead, she goes near her and pretends as if she accidentally knocked over the remaining glass on the tray, spilling the water on Kiya making her yelp.

Jungkook immediately stands up to grab some tissues to help her out but as soon as Vinny shoots him the death glare, like a scared puppy he sits back down. But that didn't do any good as Jimin rushed to help Kiya, wiping her arm as he showed care towards her. Your heart twisted and your face fell when Jimin asked the fake pouting Kiya if she was ok. Vinny got mad as she cursed herself for everything and turned to yell at Jungkook. 

" Yah! She is your friend and your guest. What are you doing without helping her." Jungkook got confused in that moment, looking lost and helpless. His eyes locked with yours for a brief second asking for a silent help. You sighed internally and tried to help but the death glare by Vinny got directed to you. You have never been scared of your own best friend till today in your life when she gave you a fake ass smile and said, "Y/n can you come to the kitchen please. I need some help."

You slowly gulped and gave a nod. You knew you were good as dead, so as you followed her, you frowned at Jungkook because it was because of him, it was because you tried to save him and he knew it. He gave you a guilty look as you disappeared out of their sights and into the kitchen. It didn't even take a second as your mad looking best friend swiftly turned and started giving you an earful.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" 

"W-what? I was just... trying to h-"

"Help! Is that what you were going to say?" she cut you off and raised a brow at you, making you swallow to silence yourself.

"Help my ass. How can you be so shameless.. That bitch is rubbing herself on Jimin in your face where as he allows it knowingly what she's up to. And you are out there with a broken face.. trying to be mother Teresa. Will you just quit it. Stop being freaking nice to people who tries to hurt you. You better get a grip or I swear I'm gonna loose it. I'm this close to burst up ever since that bitched walked in ruining my night.. your night." She said everything in one go and took a deep breath as you stared at her.

"Look Vee.. It's ok that the night didn't go as you planned. It's not like we could predict something and expect things to go it that way itself. So lets not stress about it and just enjoy the night ok? Besides.. I think Jimin is moving on. Or he wouldn't have walked in with Kiya like that. I know him enough to know he is not a type to used another woman to hurt another." You say after sighing.

"I'm not saying he is using anyone here. And I'm sure Jimin is not moving on or anything because that man keeps looking at you when you are not looking. And he even got worried when you walked off earlier. I literally saw him pacing the hall waiting for you. He may not show you. But I saw what I need to see. And that Kiya is trying to trap him. You better not do this to yourself or Jimin. Do not be those people who thinks it's for the best and shit because if you two love each other.. then no one else could compare and be the best." 

 Even though Vinny was scolding you, knowing this was making your heart feel a bit better. So he still cares. And you were getting it into your head that Vinny was right. You know that you love him for a fact now. And you know that you are a person to give immense love to the person in your heart.  

You looked towards the kitchen entrance as you heard clicking of heels, but Vinny was too busy letting her frustration out to notice it. You wondered if it would be that nosy Kiya, but thankfully it was just Joanne. She walked over calling out for Vinny and your best friend just snapped at the poor girl as well, "What!"

"Uhh- Well.. Jin finished setting up the BBQs. So dinner is ready." Joanne informs in a tiny voice, "And what's going on in here?" 

"What else.. just trying to rub some sense into this dumb idiot. Anyways.. lets just go and get this over with asap." Vinny takes a deep breath and leads the way gesturing to both of you to follow her. Joanne looks at you with wide eyes and you just shake your head at her signaling not to even ask and followed your grumpy friend.

Jungkook gave an innocent look when you all entered the pool area of his house where the whole dinner was set up. You gave a light glare at him to make him feel more guilty just for fun and sat down next to Joanne and Taehyung. 

"What's with the mood?" You heard Taehyung asking his girlfriend in a low voice as he eyed Vinny and you.

"Shh.. later." Joanne hushed her boyfriend and grabbed a grilled skewer to shove it in his hand, Probably out of habit of giving lollipops to kids at school to keep them quiet. Cute! You wanted to smile seeing their faces but you didn't as Kiya came at purposefully sat in front of you. Soon Jimin followed with Hoseok and she quickly patted the seat next to her and called for Jimin to sit there. Not wanting to be rude, Jimin gave a tight smile and sat down next to her as she flashed a pearl white big smile at him. She was truly beautiful and very small made.

"Babe?" Jungkook on the other side tried to reach out to Vinny but she didn't even spare a glance. "Not now Jeon. Two down and just one more to go." She whisper scolded and Jungkook quickly retrieved. Thankfully others were all too busy grilling, eating and chatting with others, not paying attention to this side.

You watched Kiya look around the table looking very displeased. She made a small clicking tongue sound grabbing Vinny's and Jimin's attention. "What's the matter?" Jimin asks her looking at the table and then back at her.

"Everything here is meat and fat." She says and Taehyung scoffs lightly and commented on that, "Then what the hell are you doing here. You very well know bbq with us is always meat and fat."    

"But since some girls were here, I assumed there would be something else as well. You know.. a girl should really watch what they eat because of the weight. So, I don't eat non veg." She says in a slight mocking tone as she looked over at you and Vinny.  This bitch! You cursed in your head as you felt Vinny shift next to you. You thought this girl was nice but nah! not at all, a person like this don't deserve a person like Jimin. Besides Vinny and you were not even over weight. Unlike this skinny thing, you and Vinny just got the right amount of thickness and curves in all the right places. 

The table got a little quiet as Kiya was a bit loud. Vinny getting irritated, looked at Jungkook and  he just gulped looking away because he also knew that Kiya just said the wrong thing.

"Oh well.. I can help you with that. lemme make you a non veg skewer for you." Vinny says in a sarcastic tone and gets up to grab a bbq stick and stick it through a salad leave before placing it on her plate. "There you go. And this ketchup is pure tomato." She placed the bottle with a loud thud in front of her. You looked at Vinny with wide eyes while Taehyung snorted next to Joanne. Kiya scowled at Vinny and the tension was very visible since no one was talking but enjoying the whole thing. This was not very surprising because we all know that Vinny is straight forward and sassy. So you knew that your best friend was not done yet. She was annoyed through out the day and Kiya just poked at the wrong place.

"But you know what Kiya.. Cows eat grass too, but they are still big. But they got a very small brain compared to humans and I think you can relate." 

Jin and Taehyung chuckled and Hoseok was trying his best to hold his laugh. Jungkook had his lips pressed and head down not even risking a glance. Vinny sat back looking satisfied while you, Mel and Joanne gave each other big eyes. 

Kiya was visibly very upset and looked offended and unwelcomed. Jimin's face turned as he furrowed his brows indicating he didn't like any of the things that happened. You kind of felt bad so you tried to tone down the mood.

"Umm.. Vinny was just joking. She didn-"

"Y/n.. Do you also want to eat cows food tonight?" She cuts you off and gives you a forced scary smile. It was a big red flag so you quickly shook your head.

"Nope.. No.. I'm good. Thanks." You immediately shut your mouth up. 

"Ok the second set is ready. Help yourselves and leave some for me." Yoongi set another tray of skewers breaking the ice. "Why? Where are you going?" Namjoon looked up at his friend.

"I got Kiya covered. I'll make something real quick and be right back. Jin can you grill the rest with Jimin?" Yoongi  asks the two and they gave a nod. Kiya gave a thankful look to Yoongi and leaned in to whisper something in Jimin's ear. Jimin looked at her and gave another nod. Soon all three of them stood up and went over to grill the rest.

"Did you have to do that?" You slowly asked your friend while others went back to the normal chattering.

"What.. She gotta know her place. She can't just come in here and just say shit about us. And try to body shame us. That skeleton is lucky that I stopped myself at that. And she had been trying to pick on you even after getting in between you and Jimin. So hell yes I had to do something." Vinny whisper scolded you and got up to go over to Sarang and Mel.

You sighed and slumped your shoulders. Jungkook scooted over to you as you two were the only one left in the corner. It felt like you both have been punished by the common person you love. "Glad I'm not alone in this." Jungkook nudged you with his elbow. 

"Yeah right. I'm here thanks to you, you monkey. Should have just minded my own business." You nudged him back.

"Hey! I'm innocent ok. Who the hell knew you girls are so complicated." He nudged again, You scoffed at him and soon you both started nudging each other as you two bickered with the blame game. Thankfully Taehyung came to the rescue and pulled Jungkook away. Joanne asked if you were ok after seeing your face and you just shrugged your shoulders. She served you and herself some dinner and you both chatted about Jae for a while to get your mind off from all this drama.

Through out the whole dinner Kiya was all over Jimin laughing and flirting. She literally couldn't keep her hands to herself and you couldn't keep watching them as if it didn't affect you at all. Excusing yourself saying that you have to pick up Jae, you decided to leave. Vinny just looked at you and gave a nod understanding and walked you out to the door. You were thankful for everything that she did for you today. Giving her a big tight hug you wished her a good night and left the place.
