"Momma.. Momma! Hot Water." Jae shouted in a worried tone and pulled you back by your shirt away from the stove. You had been lost in your thoughts and failed to notice the over flowing boiling water from the pasta pot.

Coming to your senses you quickly moved Jae away and closed the stove. You almost got hurt and ruined dinner again as you were not doing that great. It's been more than a week since that painful night. You haven't spoken a word to Jimin or Vinny ever since that day. Jimin really walked away from your life as if you never existed. You see glimpses of him whenever he passes by the store without even sparing a glance towards it. Sometimes you see Kiya with him going in and out of his apartment building. It kind of hurt but you had no right to say anything.

He is moving on fine, Maybe Kiya was right after all. And maybe you did the right thing. But you can't help but feel sad and bitter. You miss the days you spent laughing and talking with him. Playing around and joking with him. Jae had been asking about Jimin a lot lately and has been asking you to take him there to his place. But you keep on making excuses, you didn't know for how long you will have to do that, but you really hoped that Jae would stop at some point and forget about Jimin as well.

Top of that, the fight you had with Vinny was eating you up. It's not like you two never fought, you did, but you have never gone for more than three days without talking. This was the longest and it's killing you. What's worse is that you didn't even have the guts to pick up your phone and call her up. You know you were wrong and you truly do feel sorry, but you didn't know what to say.

Sighing you put your thoughts aside and looked down at your son who was looking at you with worried eyes. He knew something was wrong and had been sticking with you all times. "Momma you ok?" He asks tugging at your shirt, it was his way of asking you to lower yourself to his level.

"Yes baby. I'm alright. I just got distracted." You say crouching down to face him. He quickly wraps his arms around your neck melting you into a hug. You swear that every time he does this these days, you just want to sob in his little arms. But of course you didn't, you need to be strong for him.

"Are you hungry? Should we order Pizza?" You ask patting his back. You were really not in a mood to cook and wanted to drown yourself on junk. Luckily your boy jumped showing his wide teeth. " Yay! Pizza!" You chuckled a bit and stood up. "Alright.. Lets order some pizza and ice cream too." You say grabbing the phone. Your boy nodded his head excitedly.

Minutes later there were knocks on the front door. Your boy came running from his room ready to stuff his little tummy with some junk. "Wait here. I'll go bring them ok." You tell him and move to the front door to collect your order. When you opened the door, you were a bit surprised because it was not the delivery guy who stood there with your order but Joanne.

"What? How?" You started to ask but she quickly cleared your confusing as she shoved your order into your hands. "I took it from the delivery guy as he was also on his way up."

"Oh.. thanks. But what are you doing here, didn't you say that you will be going out with Tae."

"That man got called by his annoying sister, She is back from her vacation or whatever and wanted Tae to pick her up from the airport.. So I asked him to drop me here since I haven't heard from you these days and I feel like you've closed up again." Joanne says in a light complaining tone.

"I'm so not closed up. I'm just busy." You roll your eyes at her and walk in behind her.

"Yeah.. busy avoiding everyone and facing what you really want and the things you need to do to fix it." She shot back. She frowned at you but then her features changed when Jae came into the view.

"Hey Baby J.. How are you today?" She smiled patting Jae's head.

"So you know?" You ask her the same time Jae said he is hungry.

"Oh baby J is hungry.. Lets get you some pizza.. go wash your hands and come." Joanne says to your boy, he gives a nod grinning and runs to wash his hands. Joanne looked up at you and sighed giving you the disappointed look. "Yes Y/n. I know. Vee hasn't been quite about it and had been venting her anger out all night the past couple of days."

"I guess she is pretty mad and hurt for what I said." You sighed keeping the food on the table and opening them for Jae before continuing, "I want to make things right and tell Vee that I didn't mean them. But I don't know how to do that."

"I don't think she is mad about that.. Maybe hurt.. but not mad. But she is definitely mad about the whole Jimin thing and how stubborn you are." She added as she sat down in front of you. When Jae came in Joanne picked him up and made him sit on the chair next to her and served him a slice on to the plate.

"Well.. I have my reasons for it Jo. I was trying to explain it to her but she came at me about him and everything else at once. I was already having a hard time.. so I just snapped. I don't feel good Jo. I really feel lost." You say to her being honest.

"I can see that. But Y/n.. she is your long time best friend. You should know better that besties do fight and shit happens.. but what matters is one acknowledging their own mistake and reaching out to the other. She just worries about you too much and she was just very excited that you were taking a step forward in your current life status.. so what she saw must have set her off." Joanne looks at you and give a small smile. "I'm not taking sides here. And I'm not saying Vee is completely correct either, as your best friend she should have given you the chance to explain or whatever. but we can't do anything about it now since its in the past. But right now you can talk to her and clear things out. I know you both are dying to make up and it's hard on you both. She's not doing well either. So just talk to her."

Joanne's words were eating you up, she was right about the whole thing, It was you who hurt her and it's up to you to apologize and make up for it. It was your fault for keeping things from her, you were never like this, you shared everything with her without delay and this could be one of the reasons why this fight happened between you two. I have to fix this! You say to yourself getting up not wanting to stay any longer.

"Jo, will you be going anywhere anytime soon?" You ask her.

"No.. not really, Why?"

"Than can you please look after Jae till I get back. I'm going to head to Vee's place." You say to her giving your puppy eyes and Joanne smiled feeling relieved that you are making a move.

"Don't worry about it. I got this.. go clear out the air so we can hang out together as usual. I has been killing me too"

"Yes Miss. Jo. On it. Be right back." You say taking your small bag and kiss Jae on his head. "Stay with Aunt Jo ok. Momma will be back soon." Once Jae hums and gives a nod, you went out of the front door and hurried down. You were thankful that Vinny lived closed by as well, so you thought of walking there as you tried to gather your thoughts and come up with ways to approach her.

When you finally got to her apartment, her roommate was the one who answered the door after several seconds. "Oh hey Sunhee, is Vee here?" You ask her in a nice way so that she won't be irritated. She is a hard worker and studies almost everyday so she kind of hates being interrupted.

"She's not here. Saw her going out with her books earlier. Try the park or the library." She said and closed the door just like that without even a goodbye. You rolled your eyes and wondered how Vinny  puts up with her.

Walking back to the elevator you smiled knowing where to go. Vinny always watches the sunset when she is down, and if she is walking around with books in her hands, that means she definitely wanted some time alone while at it. So the only place she goes is to her own rooftop. Hitting the top floor button, you rode up the elevator hoping you weren't wrong and she was there.

As you got to the rooftop, the sun was already setting and it looked empty. But you knew that you would find her behind the big water tank and marched up towards it. As expected, she was there sitting on the floor with her head leaned against the tank and eyes closed. Sighing, you sat down next to her making her open one eye to have a peak. Seeing that it's you she closed her eye back and remained in the same position. "What are you doing here?"

"What else. Came to see the sunset of course." You smile a little to yourself seeing her frown.

"Go watch it at your place."

"I would love to since my place got the best view." You say slowly lighting up the mood.

"Best view my ass. This is Hundred times better. It's even closer to the sky than yours." Vinny tried to keep a stern tone but she was failing at it. You could see a faint smile tugged at the corner of her lips.

"Hmm.. true.. but you are not there but here." You say and that made Vinny sigh and open her eyes to look at the  setting sun. You both got quiet as you watched the sky, it wasn't uncomfortable but still you needed to get the weight out of your chest. So without dragging this any longer, you looked down at your fiddling fingers before looking up.

"I'm sorry Vee. I really didn't mean that. I was just overwhelmed and I felt attacked. I don't know what came over me.. But trust me.. I didn't mean to say anything to hurt you." You say to her but she just hums as she remained in the same posture.

You sigh and rest your head back against the tank. You knew it wasn't enough and you had so many unspoken things between you and her. You felt that now is the time to tell her everything. After few more seconds basking in silence, you open your mouth to speak again.

"You were right.. I'm a coward and a selfish bitch." Your lips curled up sadly and you noticed Vinny frown at that before you continued, " And you have every right to be mad at me because all this time you just wished me well and wanted me to be happy. And yes, I was happy with Jimin and you saw that.. and you got mad when I ran off the last minute.. But Vee.. I had reasons. I got scared." You tell her being honest.

"What do you mean?" Her brows furrowed, still not looking at you but you were relieved that she was listening to you at least.

"Well.. to be honest.. I really like Jimin. And I was ready to accept him not because he was good to me and Jae but for who he is. Jimin really is something else and he made me feel a lot of things I thought I would never feel again.. And I wanted him to be a part of my life.. But.."

"But what?" Vinny snapped loosing her patience as you trailed off.

"Remember the next day after Jae's birthday how I kept getting messages and calls from an unknown number... well it was Kiya. We met that evening and she asked me to stay away from Jimin."

"What!! How dare she! And why the fuck are you telling me this now? Did you really back off just because she said so?" Vinny got worked up and bombarded you with questions.

"No! Not really. I wouldn't walk away just like that just because some girl told me to. But then she kind of scared me off. At first she told me that she knows what happened in the past and where I came from. I.. kind of panicked at that. She said she don't want to tell Jimin or his parents about it.. and told me to come to my senses. She said that Jimin worked hard to come here and he deserved better. Apparently he did everything to impress his mom and I'm just ruining it for him. And that he deserves someone who he could be proud of and meet his standards.. not someone like me with a petty life and a kid."

"Y/n.. don't tell me you believe them. You are not anything like that. How dare she talk to you like that. I'm gonna fight with that bitch. Come on lets go." Vinny was mad at this point and was ready to pounce. You quickly held her back and shook your head.

"It doesn't matter now. No matter what she said.. I agree to some of it. And Vee.. she said she has been in love with Jimin for a longer time now.. And she said things were finally working out between them but I have been confusing Jimin. And he is around me because he pities me." You say and Vinny scoffs.

"Don't believe that bitch for one second. She is a snake. I never got a good vibe off her. And Y/n.. you very well know that Jimin is not a person like that. He is a man who knows what he wants. He is not a kid for you or her to choose for him. He is his own person and he got his own heart.. he can do it for himself." Vinny let out a frustrated sigh.

"I know.. but lately I've been seeing them walking in and out of his apartment with her. So maybe she was right. And I think I did the right thing. She is beautiful and looks rich from a decent good family. And single with no kids." You sigh in defeat.

"You are a stupid fuck.. you know that right? Have you seen yourself? You are thousand times more prettier than that skeleton.. She knows that.. that's why she felt threatned and came to you. She stands no chance against you. And bish.. didn't Jimin choose you.. he freaking came to you and like a heartless evil woman.. you kicked that man out." It's clear that Vinny was still mad about it and you don't blame her.

Groaning you dropped your head into your hands. "I know. I was just confused and didn't know what to do. I thought it was the best for him. I just wanted him to have a better life since I'm not perfect."

" Listen Y/n.. if I learnt anything when it comes to this, is that love doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be honest and pure. And I know that you are that. With a person like Jimin.. you both can be the best versions of yourselves. It's not only you.. I have noticed how Jimin is around you as well. Trust me.. that man looks at you like you are his whole world. And he is so lively and happy around you."

"I know but.. I don't know what on earth happened to me. I wanted to talk to you about it but Jimin kept overwhelming me.. and I had to hurt him.. It broke me Vee.. I was hurting.. And then within seconds the fight with you broke out. I messed up and now its too late." You say as a tear stung your eyes.

Vinny's heart softened and she understood what you were going through. She leaned forward to hug you and you hugged her back wanting the comfort that your best friend was offering. "So how did she find out? Does she know everything?" Vinny asks and you shook your head.

"No.. she just knows about my childhood.. the fact that I'm an orphan and a college dropout." You sniffed and pulled back only to see Vinny frowning at you. You knew what she was thinking and you didn't blame her. "Yeah I know I'm an idiot. But I considered everything else that she said as well. But what can I even do now?" You slumped as sadness took over you.

"Do I think you are an idiot? Yes, 100%. Do I think you handled it badly? Yes like 80%. But I'm marking you down because I know you must have had a hard time getting hit with all of this at once. And I'm sorry for being a bitch as well. You should have told me earlier without keeping it.. And also I'm sorry that I called you a selfish bitch because you are not. I didn't mean it as well." Vinny say and you just scoff out a chuckle. "Nah! I deserved it." You say and she just holds your hand.

"No you didn't. And neither did Jimin deserve what he got. He probably came back to you hoping that you were mistaken and that he could hug you out and assure you and himself that everything is alright. He is just like you Y/n.. I heard from Kook that Jimin never dated anyone for years after getting his heart broken once. He was scared to give his heart.. But then he gave it to you and you just slapped it back on his face." When Vinny phrased it like that, you frowned as more tears pricked your eyes.

"Don't you dare well-up," she warns. Vinny had made you cry many times before with her brutally honest comments on situations, and even though you didn't hold it against her, she still felt bad about it.

"I'm not," you lied as your lip quivered.

"I'll bitch slap you," she promised, half in an attempt to make you laugh, half in an attempt to distract you from the fact that you screwed up and was sad.

"Try me," you encouraged, a smile breaking instead of a torrent of tears. "I'll bitch slap you right back." She sighed, extending her arms out in front of her for you.

"No you won't," Vinny spoke delicately, voice kind. She patted your shoulder gently as she spoke, "You need me to fix this."

"How?" You tilted your head up and she smiled warmly, reaching over and giving your hand a firm squeeze. "We're gonna go and get your Jimin back. I'm not letting you let go of him that easily."

"I don't know Vee. I still think he deserves better. Plus.. I don't think he wants anything to do with me after that day. I feel like he had moved on." You say to her.

"You think so? So easily?" She questioned you.

"We were not dating or anything Vee.. We just had a moment. It's nothing serious."

"And how would you know what he felt? Moment or not.. the things between you and him were going on for a while now. You may not have dated or spoken about it.. but the bond you had was real. We all saw it..and you acted like a real freaking happy family. So make up your mind and tell me what its gonna be." Vinny stood up and lend her hand down to you.

You wanted to think about it and make up your mind like Vinny said but everything felt rushed now. "Where are we going?" You ask her still taking her hand to lift yourself up. "To go get some ice cream and figure out our next move." She says knowing you too well and you give a nod as you chuckled. "Sounds good. Lets go."

When Vinny said lets figure it out, you didn't expect her to make Jungkook throw a BBQ Dinner night the right next day. You wanted to throw a fit and bail on it but you knew better than that it will definitely be the death of you. It's only been a day since you patched up with your best friend but still that didn't stop you from voicing your concerns even though you agreed to be there.

"Veeee.. I really don't think I can face him just yet." You slowly started to whine as you were in the fit on room right next to Vinny's, trying on the bridesmaid's dress that Mel had selected for you, Vinny and Joanne. The wedding is only a week away and you girls were here with the bride to do the final dress trial.

"You will never be ready at this rate. Just suck it up and face him. It's now or never Y/n. Besides.. it's too late to run off.. the dinner is happening tonight and everyone agreed on coming, specially when it's a get together to loosen up the soon to be bride and groom." You could hear the sly smile in her voice as she made sure that everyone would attend the dinner since she sold it out saying it's in honor of Namjoon and Mel.

"Arg! But still... i still don't know if I'm good enough for him and should just lay low like how it is now. What's done has been done.."

"Oh god y/n! Can you please shut up and come zip me up without talking nonsense to irritate me. Not enough my ass." She scolded you and when you peeped into her stall, she was there struggling with the dress as a deep frown decorated her face. With a pout on your lips, you quietly zipped her up as you hid away from her glares.

"What is taking so long guys.. Mel is waiting for you." Joanne rushed into the fit on just in time to save your ass from your friend's deadly glares. You mentally sighed in relief and turned to look at Joanne.

"Coming.. We are almost done." You say and quickly finishes off zipping Vinny up before running away with Joanne. Vinny chuckled softly and shook her head to herself thinking about you. She was just truly happy that you opened up yourself and was willing to accept Jimin to your life. Vinny couldn't be more happier with the choice you made. The time spent talking about the past with her boyfriend, she knew a little of Jimin's story and how he is. And she personally thinks he is the best person for you as the best friend.

The perils that came with thinking you're undeserving of love meant pushing away any and all displays of affection that could possibly prove otherwise. So Vinny would never allow it. In her eyes you are like a honey bee, soft and fuzzy, pure and sweet. She knew for a fact that Jimin is the only flower that would feed your soul to your hearts content.

After the dress trials you and Vinny head over to Jungkook's place to prepare for the party and get dressed. You were relieved that Jae was busy at his friend Han's place for an upcoming project. Han's mom was nice enough to tell you to enjoy the dinner out and she will take care of Jae till you get back. So you made a mental note to leave early so they wouldn't be burdened and informed Vinny beforehand so that she won't throw a fit. You both did bicker but settled for leaving at 10.00pm.

"Earth to bamboo land! Yo.. Panda.." Jungkook waved his hand in front of you trying to get your attention as you were momentarily lost in thoughts.

"What?" You swatted away his hand which was almost in your face.

"Ouch.. That stings." He complains and you just roll your eyes at him. 

 "What do you want Junglebook?"

"Oh yeah.. I almost forgot. Vinny said that you needed some more things. I'm heading out now so tell me what else you guys want." He says taking his phone out and opening up the notepad to type the list down.

"Should we get another case of beers? Do you think that will be enough?" He asks eyeing the case of beers which was already lying on the counter.

"Jungkook.. that's like twenty four beer cans right there.. I mean.. I know you guys sure do drink a lot but tomorrow is a Monday. Are you sure you guys can handle work in the morning after getting drunk." You pointed out in a slight warning note.

"Yeah. that's there. Ok then. I'll just get a pack instead." The bunny like man said and you just shook your head at him. "Fine.. whatever you like Kook." You say and he gives you a weird smirk.

"What?" You ask eyeing him curiously.

"Nothing. I'm just glad that you two patched up. And next time.. please don't wait this long.. It's torture for me as well. I lost my sleep and brain because of you. Vinny kept calling me up at 2 am  ranting nonsense and venting her anger on me."

"Oops! Not so sorry.. I'm glad that you suffered because of me even when I was away." You grinned. 

"Meany!" Jungkook scowled and flicked your forehead catching you off-guard. 

"YAH! Get back here." You shout as you tried to hit him back but Jungkook was fast. He was already laughing and running out to the door. "If there is anything else just drop a text." He shouts opening the door. "IDIOT!" You shout back but he was already gone. Chuckling you turned and got back to finish the rest of the preparation up. 

Soon it was time for the small dinner party to start. Jin and Sarang were first to come since Jungkook wanted help from Jin to set up the backyard to grill the meat. Slowly one by one, couple by couple started coming in. Every time when someone walked in, you kept getting more and more nervous. Your heartbeat was not stable and you kept glancing at Vinny and Joanne who was in on this plan. They kept giving reassuring nods and Vinny kept reminding you to how to act and what to say when Jimin shows up.

You let out a breathy sigh and looked around. Pretty much everyone was here except for Yoongi and Jimin. You knew for a fact that he was coming because you heard Hoseok speaking to him earlier. Mel and Namjoon were seated in the corner showing each other pictures probably of the dresses she tried earlier in the day. Mel really looked pretty in all of them and you knew that Namjoon was going to have a hard time deciding on one out of the three dresses Mel finally chose. 

"Y/n.." Joanne called out to you getting your attention, "Come lets get the drinks ready and serve them." She suggested and you gave a nod and followed to the counter. 

"You look nervous babes.. Just loosen up will you." Vinny made a face and you just pouted.

"I'm trying.. but it's nerve wrecking. Part of me wishes that he won't show up but the other part wants to see him desperately." You say to them honestly.

"Settle with the other part. It will be fine Y/n. It's Jimin.. The nicest guy.. so what can possibly go wrong." Joanne stated and Vinny nodded her head in agreement. 

You looked at both of your friends and then let out a sigh. "Ok Ok! I got this." You tell them making them give a satisfied smile, but non of the smiles were up for long as you all heard a giggle. Your two friends snapped their heads up and you turned to look as well. Just like your friends, the smile that you also had fell as your hopes came crashing down when Jimin just walked in looking good as ever but with Kiya hugging his arm.
