It's finally the last day of Jimin taking care of Jae since Sana will be coming back to do her job starting tomorrow. He got to admit that he is a bit sad to not have such evenings anymore. So he got off and came to your place earlier than usual. He totally loves spending time with the little one. At first he thought it would be hard and it would be a mess but it was nothing like that at all. There were some messy fun times but they were totally harmless and just pure joy. Jae was different compared to many kids at his age, he is so calm and less troublesome. Most of all, he is so adorable and catches everyone's heart so fast. Jimin felt like it's a healing moment for him as he spent more time with the little one. He grew more attached to him the past couple of weeks.

He could now understand why you are so protective and all over your kid. Jae really does consume all the attention and fill the heart enough for anyone to smile and keep them happy. It was not only Jae that he grew closer to, but to you as well. You are much comfortable around him and whenever you come over to his home, his heart flutters so much that he can't even explain the feelings. All he knows was that you and your kid has grown on him so much and taken a place in his heart.

"Mr. Angel.. Can you be like this?" Jae snaps back Jimin's attention and he looked at the kid who was sprawled on the floor with cartoon story books opened up. 

"Like what buddy?" Jimin asked as he had no idea of what Jae was talking about.

"Like this." Jae pointed at a male drawing in the story book he was reading and Jimin smiled. " You want me to be a Prince?" He asks the little one.

"Mhm.. But can Angels be Princes too?" He asks looking up at Jimin with big curious eyes. That look just warmed Jimin's heart making him give the best eye smile. 

"Hmm.. I think it's possible. But why do you want me to be a Prince. I thought you like me as an Angel." Jimin couldn't help but ask. The little boy gave a cheeky grin before turning his head back to the book and point at the characters excitedly before replying.

"Prince can be with Princess and have family like this." He pointed at a Prince and Princess with a baby drawing as he spoke, "My momma is a Princess. I want Mr. Angel to be a Prince." Jae didn't know how deep what he said was but it made Jimin's heart flutter. It gave him an unexplainable happiness on the inside from that innocent request. It shows how Jae wanted Jimin to be a part of him and his mother, and the little one had no idea how much Jimin would love to, but it's not simple as that. 

"Really bud? You want us to be family?" Jimin asks unable to hold back the grin that's forcing out.

"Mm." Jae hummed and nodded his head as he turned the page.

"Well.. First I'll try and see if I can be a Prince, ok buddy? After that.. I will ask your Momma." Jimin says and Jae looks at Jimin with big shining eyes. "Promise?" He asks putting out his little tiny pinky finger for Jimin.

Jimin smiled and locked it with his and replied "Promise. But don't tell anything to Momma just yet. It's a secret between us. Ok?" Jimin says that because he knew you would feel awkward about this and he didn't want that.

"Ok. Promise." Jae smiled looking happy and Jimin ruffled his hair before getting up to go to the kitchen. 

Later in the evening, Jimin sat back on a bench and got lost in his thoughts while taking the view. He wasn't bluffing to Jae when he said he will try and see if he can be a Prince, in other words what he meant was that he will try winning your heart and make it his first. Even before Jae brought up the family topic, Jimin already considered you and Jae like that. He had been spending time with you thinking that you two are his own. He knew that it didn't make sense and he isn't even dating you. But he couldn't help that feeling. He feels like he is bound to you and Jae somehow. 

He already started opening up to you and slowly making it obvious about his feelings for you. He no longer want to stay hidden and confuse you. And deep down, he got a gut feeling that you like him too. He have noticed how you put distance between you and other males whoever interacts with you getting closer to your personal space, but never with him. He sees how comfortable you are with him even though he sometimes steps too close, you still never move away. So he was convinced that you knew where this was going. Sometimes he even catches you stare at him and shy away blushing, but sometimes when you both have late night talks on your roof, he watches how you look at him with deep shining eyes and smile at him as if you were on cloud nine like him. 

Considering some of these facts, Jimin is ready to take another step ahead, specially after knowing that Jae is on board too. He never neglected Jae's feelings. He always wondered if Jae would be ok and how it would affect the little one if he ever approached his mom. But now he knows Jae wouldn't be a problem which is one of your main concerns.

"Mr. Angel.. Mr. Angel!" Suddenly Jae called over to Jimin in a loud voice, Jimin panicked at his sudden burst and turned to look for the kid who called for him. Jae wanted to go play in the park a bit earlier so Jimin took him. Now hearing him, it got Jimin worried. He spotted the little boy near a bush looking at something with big worried eyes. Without wasting anytime, Jimin hurried over to him.

"What is it buddy? What happened?"

"Mr. Angel.. Look." Jae pointed at a small fragile looking grey ball lying on the ground.

"Oh! What do we have here. How did it even get here." Jimin crouched down and leaned in to have a closer look. Jae followed Jimin's actions and peeped in as well.

"Is he hurt Mr. Angel?" Jae asks curiously as his gaze was laced with concern mirroring Jimin.

"I think so. Lets have a closer look." Jimin looked at the heavily breathing little thing which was on the ground. Seeing that something is wrong, he slowly picked it up in his hands making Jae fall back on his bum as he was a little scared.

"It's ok buddy. It's just a baby. Totally harmless. I think something is wrong with his leg. And he looks dehydrated." Jimin says to Jae showing him the little fur ball on his palm. After hearing what Jimin said, the little one got closer and pouted after observing.

"What should we do Mr. Angel? Is it hungry?" Jae ask feeling sorry for the little thing on Jimin's hand.

"I think so. I think it's away from the nest and probably lost." Jimin looked the surroundings to see where it came from but there weren't any signs of a nest nor it's parents.

"Mr. Angel.. can we take him home please. He looks no good." Jae suggested and Jimin thought it was the best too. He didn't have the heart to leave it stranded here without any food or water. Also he wasn't sure if it was really hurt or just hungry and weak.

"Sure. Lets take it home and treat it. Come on buddy. Lets go home." Jimin got up, carefully holding the little rodent in one hand and holding Jae's with the other as they both hurried to go home.

As soon the clock strikes 10 pm, you quickly checked out of work and closed the door with a wide smile reaching your lips. You couldn't wait to go up to get Jae and meet Jimin. You couldn't help but wonder what awaits you since Jimin texted you to come to his place instead of going home. You still remember the first night how you were greeted by a powdered Jimin, which till date you find it very funny and keeps bursting into giggles here and there, even when you are working all alone. You just love how Jimin treats Jae and you. And being with him has become the most natural thing in this short period of time.

Getting into the elevator, you pressed the number to Jimin's floor. As the elevator closed and started moving up, you turned to look at yourself in the mirror. You fixed your hair and tuck some strands behind your ear. You took out your rose tint lip balm and applied it little to look presentable. Normally you didn't care about these things, but lately you have started to pay attention to your appearance a little by little. Specially since you have started to develop stronger feelings towards Jimin ever since the pool incident and many more.

Once the elevator dinged, you look at yourself one last time and stepped out of it. There were only two apartments in each floor and Jimin's were on the side towards the road where your house was located in. Walking up to Jimin's door, you wondered if Jae was asleep again. You didn't want to burden Jimin as he would carry Jae back to your home.

As you rang the bell and waited, it only took few seconds for Jimin to open the door and greet you with his charming smile. "Hi."

"Hi." You greeted back with a smile.

"How was work?" He asks as always as he gestures you to come in.

"Not bad. Just the usual. How was yours? Did Jae trouble you?" You ask keeping your bag on top of the dining table where few carboard boxes and two bowls of milk and water along with a thick thread were lying on. Your brows almost furrowed a little wondering what these two were up to, normally Jimin's place is squeaky clean because he always cleans after almost everything and doesn't keep anything for later. 

"Work was ok. And Jae was a good boy as always. He is preoccupied with something that we found in the park earlier." Jimin answered stepping closer to you so that he could move away the bowls and make it look less messy as he saw you eye them.

"Oh really. What's that?" You ask as it caught your interest. But before Jimin could answer, you felt something knock your foot. It was more like something poked the heel. So you turned your head to see what it was.

But the moment your eyes landed to the floor and saw a grey little thing, your eyes almost bulged out and your heart raced panic taking over you. The next thing you knew that you were screaming your lungs out as you jumped up to wrap yourself up away from the ground.

At first Jimin was startled and panicked just much as you when you screamed all of a sudden out of nowhere. He didn't know what happened but he quickly turned reaching out to you. But what happened next almost had his heart pop out when you suddenly jumped, wrapping yourself up on him. It only took a second to recover from his shock state and quickly wrap his arms around you to hold you up properly so that you wouldn't fall.

With you pressed against him, he couldn't even think straight. Your sweet scent filled him up instantly and he was in daze with his rapidly beating heart. It was not for long as you broke into another squeal and struggled a bit with your eyes squeezed shut. It was so clear you were scared of something and seeing you like this Jimin couldn't help but find you so cute.

"Oh my god is it gone! How did it get in here?"

"What is gone?"

"The mouse. There was a mouse in here. Jimin please chase it away." You whined and Jimin chuckled. His voice smooth and deep giving you tingles. "Relax. It's not a mouse." His voice immediately brought you back to your senses and it didn't even take long to realize where you landed when you were moved without you even doing anything.

Your cheeks instantly burned when you realized the position you were in. You heart kick started in a faster pace when you found yourself wrapped around Jimin. Not only that, you could finally feel his arms around you as well. One was around your waist holding to secure you from falling and the other on the center of your back to keep you in place.

Swallowing hard feeling the heat in your cheeks, You loosened up the tight hold you had around his neck and slowly pulled back to look at the man who was holding you. Your faces were inches apart now and his gaze got soft when he saw your flustered self. "You alright?" he asks with a small smile on his lips as his eyes shined. This is fucking embarrassing! You thought as you cleared your throat while giving a nod.

"Y-yeah. I guess. I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to jump on to you." You say as you loosened up yourself completely to get down from him. You still couldn't believe that you climbed up Jimin. You wanted to go drown yourself in the sink or something but you just kept your cool. But your hard played cool look went out the window in seconds as you heard a weird noise like what rats make. Once again you yelped and tightened your hold onto Jimin. "What the hell is that!!! YOU SAID IT'S NOT A FREAKING MOUSE!" You whined as you hated those little wild things ever since you were small. You have a bad memory of them and they always disgust you. 

"It's not." Jimin tried to hold back his laughter.

"Don't lie to me. I know it is a mouse. Take it away. It will come and get me." You whined some more.

"No it's not. Let me show you." Jimin chuckled again as he moved a bit, trying to keep you down after looking to find the little thing but it was gone. It probably got scared! he thought. But you were too horrified of the thought of a rat running around near your feet.

"NO! NO! DON'T PUT ME DOWN! I hate them. Please." You clung onto Jimin making him laugh.

"I won't put you down. Just relax. It's a baby squirrel." Jimin finally says as he took two steps ahead while carrying you in his arms. "Here. You can sit up here safely. Nothing will get you now." Jimin placed you on the table carefully.

"A squirrel?" You ask to confirm as the thought of that it was not a rat gave you relief.

"Yup. Just a baby squirrel." He says and you got quiet as you slowly let go of him but he didn't move an inch as he stood there in between your legs, hands still on your waist.

"All good?" He asks but you just stare at him unable to say anything. Part of you were just too embarrassed and part of you were loosing itself in the god looking man in front of you. He smiles widely finding everything amusing. "Gosh! Didn't know you were such a baby." He teased.

"No I'm not. I was just startled." You defend yourself finding your voice. You tried not to stutter as his face was only inches away from yours.

"Yeah right. Says the girl who screamed her guts out and refused to set a foot on the floor. You know what.. you are right. Your not a baby but a scaredy cat." He teased you more and you just scoffed at him. "No I'm not. Like I said.. I didn't expect to see a Mouse in here. Do you know how dangerous a mouse can be. It can make you sick." You hit his chest lightly with your hand to push him back slightly because he was too close for you to think straight. But your heart skipped a beat when he didn't budge and instead he chuckled lightly as he wrapped his hand around yours which was resting on his chest.

"I'm not dumb to bring in a mouse inside the house. Besides.. it doesn't change the fact that you gave the best reaction ever. Our little Jae was much more better. In fact, he was the one who got curious and showed me the little squirrel." his gaze locked with yours as his voice got low and deep. Your heart skipped a beat when he quoted 'Our little Jae'. It gave you very nice feelings.

"He did?" Your voice got lower as if you were falling into a trance. "Mm-hm." He hummed. You didn't fail to notice how his free hand was sliding down your hip to rest on your thigh. Your breath hitched a little and everything created tingles in your body. You were suddenly reminded of the intense moment you shared the other day in the pool. It was so clear that Jimin was not afraid to be intimately close to you. It's like you both have grown another step closer. Mindlessly your eyes drops down to his plum lips. His eyes follows to stare at yours as well. You had no idea how things turned out to lead to situation like this, but right now your mind was just totally blank.

"Besides.. You look more beautiful when you're scared. It tempts me to scare you often if this is what I'm getting." Jimin's nose slightly brushed against yours as he murmured in a deep low voice. Your lips parted a bit and your breathing kind of got a little heavy as you could only focus on his lips, his hands and his heavenly smell. For a second you thought that he was going to kiss you. Maybe he would have and maybe you would have let him, but unfortunately the moment didn't last long as you both heard rustling noises and a door opening.

"Momma?" Your boy walked in with a concerned face while tucking his T-shirt inside his pants, probably after using the bathroom because his zip was open as well. Oh shit! You quickly leaned back just in time Jimin stepped back as well. You bit your bottom lip as your cheeks turned color feeling the heat in them registering how close you both were and how fast you both reacted as if you were doing something not good and didn't want to get caught. Jimin's ears were slightly red but he didn't pay attention to it as Jae walked towards him.

"Momma? You came! Mr. Angel what was that noise?" Jae asks cutely softening yours and Jimin's eyes.

"Yes hun. I just came." You say not wanting to get down from the table because you still didn't trust Jimin.

"And Momma got scared after seeing your little Pokey." Jimin ruffles Jae's hair as he looked back and forth between you and Jimin. But Jae's attention was snatched along with yours when you hear another noise made by the little grey thing.

"Oh! It's Pokey." He grins with big eyes and follows the noise which was very close by around the corner.

"Pokey?" You raised a brow hearing the funny but cute name and Jimin just shrugged his shoulders giving you a teasing smile to which you playfully frowned.

"Momma Momma. Look. We found it in the park. This is Pokey." Jae says to you waddling like a duck with both hands clasped together in front of him. You right away backed up a little on the table making Jimin chuckle softly, shaking his head at you. 'Baby!' He mouthed at you and you fake glared at him even though your heart flipped on the inside at that name. You know he meant it in a different way but you couldn't help but wonder how it would feel if he actually calls you his baby someday in a loving way. What on earth am I thinking! You quickly snapped from your straying thoughts and shook your head lightly before turning to pay attention to your son.

"Oh my god. It really is a baby squirrel." You say in awe as you see the little thing in Jae's hands.

"I told you." Jimin added and you finally got down to crouch down so that you could have a closer look at the cute fur ball.

"Why Pokey?" You ask gently running your pinky finger over it.

"Momma it pokes you when you keep him on the floor. So it's Pokey!" Your boy exclaimed giggling a little. Smiling seeing him happy, you turned your head towards Jimin for a detailed explanation and he understood you well without having you saying a word.

"I think it's just around 35 to 40 days old. So the eyes are only half opened. squirrels can't see till they are 45 days old. So it goes and knocks on things while running around when unattended." Jimin explained calmly as he crouched down sitting next to you to take Pokey from Jae's small hands.

"Oh! I see." You nod and Jae looks at Jimin with curious eyes along with pouted lips. You knew he was thinking of something to ask because that's the normal face he makes when he needs answers.

"But Mr. Angel you are so big. Can you see po.. popely too?" He lisped as pronounced properly wrong in a cute way. But you both understood him very well.

"Of course I can see very well. Why? Did you think that I couldn't?" Jimin asks tilting his head to the side as he eyed your boy.

"Mhm.. Because when Mr. Angel laugh. Your eyes are like Pokey.. Like this." Jae squints his eyes and tries to imitate Jimin's crescent eyes which shows when he laughs or smiles very widely. Seeing the little one you and Jimin both snorted out laughing. He really did look like Jimin while doing it.

"What, I don't look like that." Jimin protested. "It's you who looks like that when you smile." Jimin says it back to Jae and tickled his little tummy with the free hand. Your little boy giggle in your lap, squirming with crescent eyes copying Jimin when he laughs. It was true, his eyes also turn into something similar. "See... It's you who looks like that.. Not me." Jimin chuckles but you disagree.

"Yes you do. Even I'm curious. Can you really see when you laugh like that?" You ask through giggles turning to him. You pulled your giggly son to sit on your cross legged lap and squeezed him to you.

"Hmm... Maybe.. Maybe not. I guess you will have to find it out on your own." Jimin smirks coyly and you roll your eyes at him. "Fine! We will figure it out someday." You say huffing before taking another look at the little squirrel.

"Where did you even find it? And why did you bring it here?" You questioned seeing how Jimin was carefully petting it's head.

"Jae found him on the ground near a bush. It seemed like it lost its way and was starving. We thought it was injured so we brought him here to tend to it.. but fortunately he is fine. Was just dehydrated and hungry."

"Soo.. What are we going to do with it now? Are you going to go leave him at the park?" You wondered.

"Momma No. Lets keep Pokey please. He is my new friend." Jae made a puppy face at you and you pouted at him.

"Jae wanted to keep him and I was considering it. I feel bad to leave it stranded in the park in this state. It might die." Jimin added and you got sad at the thought of the little pokey all alone.

"Then can we raise him?" You ask and Jimin's face light up.

"You want to?" He asks to make sure.

"Yeah why not. Once he is big enough we can let it go." You say thinking it would be the best because a squirrel really needs to run around and enjoy the wild. That's how they are supposed to live and you shouldn't cage them.

"Sounds good to me. What do you say Bud? Should we take care of him till he can be ok to be alone? Will you be ok with that?" Jimin asks Jae knowing that the little one would feel bad if he grows attached to it. Jae looks up at you and you knew that you had to explain it for him to understand but Jimin beat you to it and explained it so nicely. Your boy listened to Jimin attentively while nodding his head. You couldn't help but see Jimin as a great father figure when he does these kinds of things patiently. You smiled to yourself a little and added to what Jimin was saying. 

"Ok then.  We can let Pokey go when he is big. He needs his family too." Jae gives a cheeky grin finally understanding the importance of setting it free.

"Yes. Family.. like us." Feeling proud of him, you kissed his head wanting to give love. Feeling that love, he turned to hug your neck and return the kiss to your cheek making you giggle softly. But he didn't stop there. You were surprised when he leaned forward to grab Jimin in to a neck hug and kiss his cheek as well. That gesture made Jimin smile warmly at him. The softness and the love was very visible in his eyes.

"Like us! Family." Jae repeats now holding Jimin's and yours hand. Your heart flipped and you felt shy to look up at Jimin for what Jae said, You knew that he didn't understand how deep those words were since he is a kid. And you thought Jimin would think the same too, But the moment he spoke, your insides fluttered and looked up just in time to meet his eyes as you wondered if he meant what he said just now. Which still rang in your ears giving you a nice feeling.

"Yes Buddy. Family. Just like us."

After getting home and putting Jae to sleep, you walked out to the open area of the rooftop knowing Jimin is out there probably leaning against the railing and looking at the sky. Just as you thought, you found him just like that and it made you smile that you know so much about him by now.

"He finally fell asleep. You better get his Pokey here by tomorrow so that I could be in peace." You tell him as you leaned against the railing right beside him.

"Yes ma'am. I will get him a cage on my way tomorrow and set everything up in here." He chuckles softly.

"But is a cage really necessary. It's just matter of one to two weeks." You say to him thinking that it would be waste of money. 

"It's fine Y/n. We really need one for it's own safety because it cannot see and tend to run around. Also it's better for your safety as well. What if you get scared again and hug the wall next time." He teased.

"Shut up." You rolled your eyes and gave a light punch to his arm making him chuckle more.

"But on the serious note. I didn't think you were the type to get scared so easily."

"I don't.. It's just I hate rats. I have a really bad memory of them." You say in your defense.

"Care to share?" He looks at you and you knew it was going to be one of those conversations where you both were going to open up more about yourselves to each other. Both of you have shared a lot of things such as likes, dislikes, stories that aren't very old and few other stuff, but never about your past or childhood. This would be the first and you felt like you are ready to let Jimin in on it but a little, not completely. You weren't sure if he would look at you the same even letting out this much but then you felt like he deserves to know.

"Well.. if I did.. I will be giving out one of my secrets. Well not a secret.. but a little of my past that I don't talk about to anyone." You say in a light joking manner to light up the mood but Jimin looks at you more seriously.

"It's ok then. You don't have to. I was just asking to know bit more about you. But I totally understand if you don't want-"

"No, it's not that I don't want to." You say to him cutting him off. "I'm willing to let you in Jimin. I'm not ashamed of my past.. it's just.. sometimes people look at me differently after they find out even a small detail about it. But.. I don't think you will be like that. So I'm ok with it." You say as his gaze locks with you. He was looking at you with his deep serious eyes. They were eyes that screamed Trust me and you do trust him. 

"I will never look at you any less than what I see in you right now Y/n. I want you to know that no matter what your past is or how you lived.. it doesn't matter to me. So trust me." Jimin turned slightly towards you. You stared at him for few more seconds before you opened up.

"Fine." You let out a huff and looked up at the sky not wanting to look at him directly. You didn't want to see any pity in his eyes when you tell about your childhood. "When I was small.. maybe around eight or so, me and the other children at the orphanage were playing hide and seek. Another girl who stayed there for a short while and I paired during the game. We decided to hide in an abandoned storage room which was behind the orphanage. And the other girl accidentally locked us in and we didn't know it till few minutes later when we started hearing rustling noises. The only light that we got was from the small broken windows so we couldn't see much clearly." You shuddered a little as the memory of what happened next came crashing. 

"- But the next second few rats jumped out scaring us and our screams scared them so they ended up running around over us and all since it was a small closed space. We tried opening the door but we couldn't get out. We kept screaming and crying, it was so dirty in there. Luckily one of the sisters heard us and quickly helped us out. But it was too late, we were scared for life and that feeling never went away. What's worse was the other girl even got fever the next day. So ever since that day.. rats and mice scares me.. actually disgusts me." You tell him as another shudder pass through your body. 

You waited for him to bombard you with multiple questions or maybe for some teases. But instead you felt warmth engulfing you up as Jimin wrapped his arms around you like warm comfy blanket covering you up. He pulled you into his embrace which took you by surprise for a second, but you didn't hesitate to melt into his hug.  

"I will make sure that no rats come your way ever again. You are safe here with me." He murmured as his lips were pressed against the top of your ear. Your heart was pounding and a tear stung your eye. His mere words were comforting to you. And the fact that he didn't take what you said lightly just warmed your heart. Jimin truly is something else, he is so not what you expected. 

You thought he would just laugh it off and make fun of it and probably question you on other things about you being in an orphanage and all, but he did none. Instead he just pulled away and stared at you for a brief moment. His eyes twinkled and a small smile tugged his lips to share the warmth in his heart with you. You felt relief that he wasn't looking at you with pity, and he didn't lie when he said he will not look at you any less. Seeing the look in your face, he just skipped the whole thing and shared something funny about his past to lighten up your mood. You smile at that and ended up chatting the night away just like that smiling and giggling. And you couldn't help but fall for this man more.
