If your friends thought you were sulking earlier, then they should have just seen you now. After seeing Jimin on Sunday your mood went completely off. Jae couldn't stop talking about Jimin and you started missing the days where you both spent cleaning, walking and talking even more. One thing that your son did right was calling him Mr. Angel. Not only to your son but even to you he looked like one. 

You wished that after that Sunday things would be better since you acted cool and secretly hoped that he would come visit even if you didn't want to admit it. But something tells you that you may not see him in this store again.

You've almost re-trained your heart to not leap in anticipation every time the bell chimes over the door at the store.

He's not coming back.

But when the bells jingle late Wednesday while you were straightening  some of the products on the display shelf next to the counter right before closing time, You once again crane your neck to see if it's him.

It's not. Naturally.

"Are you for real with that face?" Vinny, your best friend in the entire universe, walked in along with some shopping bags in her hands. Soon Joanne followed right behind her. 

"What? I was just seeing who walked into the store." You defended yourself immediately knowing these two will give you hell or pep talks. 

"Yeah right! Your hopeful puppy eyes says that you've been waiting for someone specific." Vinny smirks walking over to you.

"Please don't start. I don't want to hear your nonsense all over again. I'm sure both of you didn't barge in to give me lectures of how I need a man and rant about the connection you two feel between me and Jimin crap. So.. just get to the point." You eye them both when they looked at each other for a brief second.

"Well the connection is real.. and whether you admit it or not, we both know that you like him. Anyways we are not going to waste our breath on that. We came here to tell you that you should pack up for this weekend. We decided to go on a weekend getaway." Vinny announced and Joanne nodded her head excitingly. 

"What? This weekend? All of a sudden? Why?" You bombarded both of them with questions with eyes big as possible. You knew it was normal for the gang to go on getaways but they all plan it two weeks before hand. You remember Jungkook saying that his gang used to be party animals and would get together twice or thrice a month and it will start soon since other members of his group shifted back to Seoul. So I guess it's happening.

"What's with the quiz attack. And it's not sudden.. We have been discussing about the next getaway for a while now, it's just we didn't know when and where to go. Apparently Namjoon's fiancé Mel will be coming to Korea tomorrow. He wanted to introduce his friends and go somewhere nice. So we all agreed.. And what's exciting is that we are staying two nights." Joanne hopped a little while delivering the last bit of the line.

"What? Two days! You know I can't be gone for that long. I have work and I can't leave Jae." You refused.

"Who told you to leave Jae. Of course we are going to take him with us. That boy needs to visit nice places too. We are going on Friday and will be back on Sunday. And before you say that you have work.. we know you don't because you told us the store will be closed this Friday for some maintenance work. That's why we picked to leave on Friday evening." Vinny point out everything so that you won't be able to make excuses.

"But guys Jae got Taekwondo classes on Saturday. And you guys are all going as couples. I don't think I will fit in."

"Y/n please for heavens sakes can you agree for once without arguing back. It's just Taekwondo. Jae will have a better time out of the city. Think about him at least. When have you ever taken him on a trip to relax? He is a growing boy who needs to explore as well. And you don't have to worry about third wheeling or something because not all Kook's friends are dating nor will be there with partners. So you don't have to feel awkward." Vinny kind of scolded you once again but you were unable to say anything as she was right. Jae needed exposure and it's been forever since you both went out to have fun.

"Yes.. Vee is right. Besides we are all going there as friends bonding time. Not couples retreat. I heard Jin and his wife will be bringing their nephew and neice too. So Jae would have friends too." Joanne pitched in to convince you more. 

Both of them stared at you as you bit your bottom lip and thought about this over once more. You had few things you wanted to consider but the weird puppy noises and the looks your two friends were giving you were terrible. And deep down you knew, you would end up being dragged to this get away even if you refuse. These two and their boyfriend's are highly capable of kidnapping anyone if they put their mind into it. 

"All right. We'll come." You sighed giving in.

"YES!" The two girls in front of you jumped and high fived in victory.

"Phew, that was easier than I thought. I had more things prepared." Joanne confessed through a giggle.

"Me too! I was preparing myself for a debate battle." Vinny snorted and you just rolled your eyes at them in disbelief. They both went on about the planning and filling you on where you all will be heading and how you all will be going and all. 

"So... All seven of the guys will be coming? Even the single ones?" You couldn't help but slyly trail off. Joanne and Vinny looked at each other with knowing looks and gave you the dirty smile. Right then and there you knew, you did a huge mistake in asking that question.

"Why.. Are you expecting someone to be there?" Joanne started.

"Don't tell me that you are already planning to hook up with a specific single." Vinny added to annoy you and it was working.

"What, NO! It's not like that.. Get out your imagination Vee.. It's not a healthy place in there. I just.. I don't know.. what if it gets weird. I saw him few days back at the park. He was uncomfortable as fuck around me. He literally just spoke five words and ran off saying that he was busy." You said your honest feelings to your friends so that they won't think of nonsense.

"Wait.. you met him?" Vinny asks a bit in surprise.

"Yeah. All thanks to Jae. Remember that Mr. Angel that he kept on talking about... well that angel turned out to be Jimin and Jae introduced him to me out of nowhere while we were at the park." You tell them and both of your friends were giving you awed looks to which you cringed and returned a 'WTF' look. 

"Girl.. that right there shows that you were bound to meet him even if it was not for Jungkook's birthday party." Joanne the believer in higher bonds and connections and love spoke. She is a one hopeless romantic person but shows it only when necessary.

"Please don't start with your spiritual shit. Anyways.. I just don't want to be a problem even if I come with you guys." You confess thinking about Jimin.

"Oh shut up.. you are not wiggling your way out by using this. No one will have a problem if you two just mind your own business. If he is uncomfortable then he can stay away from you. The place we rented is so huge with two big houses. So just chill."   

"Just Chill." You imitated Vinny popping out your hand. Joanne snorted and Vinny aimed to slap your arm but as you turned to defend yourself, her slap landed on your chest. "Ow! Bitch that hurt." You complained touching your breast.

"Bitch.. are you wearing a sports bra again? Why is it so tight?" Vinny raised her voice to scold you and Joanne burst into a laughter. 

"It's not tight. My boobs are comfortable and fine." You say covering them.

"How many times have I told you to wear nice bra's to show your sexy curves. Bitch you be comfortable at home.. not when you are out in the public." Vinny who is always into dressing up and wearing the right pieces of clothing, is a serious fashion police. 

"I'm here to work.. not to flash my boobs. Besides I'm a freaking mom."

"So what. That shouldn't stop you from dressing prettily and show what you got a little. Ain't I right Jo?" Vinny got worked up and dragged Joanne into it to gang up against you, but to your darn luck the door opened and a person walked in while your friends went on about bras and boobs which was embarrassing. I need to stop this, You screamed inside your head but your customer who just walked in was making your brain malfunction. Your tongue twisted sideways and your eyes bugged out of your head. Park Jimin was standing there right behind your chattering friends in jeans, loafers, and a black T-shirt, looking hot as ever. And here you were growing red because he could literally here what Vinny was spouting out of her big mouth. 

You wanted to kick your best friend to ask her to shut up but since you were behind the counter you couldn't do that. Without thinking much, internally panicking, you just grabbed a lollipop from the container and shoved it into her mouth with the wrapper. Before she yell at you as she pulled the lollipop out of her mouth, you quickly looked passed your friends and spoke.

"H-Hi.. "  You wanted to hit yourself for the way you greeted with a stutter. Joanne and Vinny turned to see who it was and they were surprised to see an equally stunned Jimin behind them.

"H-Hi." Jimin greeted back awkwardly as he moved his hand behind him as if he didn't want you all to see what he was carrying.

"Hey, Jimin. It's been a while." Vinny quickly spoke after recovery from her shocked state and smiled as if nothing embarrassing happened few seconds ago.

"Yeah. A while." Jimin look uncomfortable and you could tell that he felt stuck. So to kill the awkwardness you decided to help him.

"Can I get you anything?" 

"I- uh- yeah.. I just came to get some... cleaning supplies." Jimin randomly blurted out after  setting his eyes on a random Downy products poster which was up on the wall.

"Oh. Let me help you then." You say walking out of the counter to guide Jimin away from your friends who were giving him weird psycho looks.

"Since when do you provide individual servic-" Joanne was unable to finish up what she was saying because Vinny trampled her foot like a warning not to speak. Joanne pressed her lips together into a thin line bringing her abused foot behind her leg and acted cool. Even though Joanne said it in a low hushed voice, you still doubted if Jimin heard it or not. You made a face  at your dumb friends and mouthed 'Get Out' before turning to the man who was already walking towards the supply section. 

Of course your too nosy friends were not going to budge just because you asked them to. Instead they leaned against the counter and observed you and Jimin from afar. Vinny had an amused look on her face as she watched you and Jimin make small talk, too shy to look at each other properly. She could see that Jimin was clutching onto a white paper bag with a gold logo on it. She couldn't see it properly because Jimin's intention was to hide it from them. 

Deeply involved with you two, Vinny puts back the lollipop she was holding into her mouth, only to spit it back out with a disgusted face because the wrapper was still on. Joanne couldn't help but snort out loud and both of them started bickering and giggling.

You who was trying to avoid them, wanted to bury yourself under a rock. Can things get more worse? Why are they like this! You scolded the duo in your head and picked up few items to add to the basket for Jimin who had no idea of which products to get to clean his house.

You showed him a lavender air freshener that he could use since it smells nice and you have seen most of the guys buy this instead of fruity ones or other nice smelling ones. Jimin just took it from your hand and mindlessly put it back on the rack after looking at it for two seconds.

"Why? You don't like Lavender?" You ask turning to look at him. He was caught off guard by your sudden question.    

"What? No, I—" He cuts himself off as his warm chocolate eyes connects with yours, and you were suddenly holding your breath. Park Jimin was holding you captive with his eyes and mostly the small smile that played across his lips.

"I like the fruity smell better. Specially when it's mixed with vanilla and baby products." 

"Fruits, Vanilla and baby products... as in baby powder? All together?" You ask raising your brow slightly in confusion, wondering where on earth such scent exists together. 

Seeing your reaction Jimin couldn't help but smile. He knew you will never figure out what he actually meant.  "Hm.. it's a very rare and unique combination. You won't find it easily. So.. I'll just take these only for now." Jimin says as he grabbed a sweet fruity air freshener and put it to the basket finishing off his short product hunting.

"Oh! Ok. Yeah sure. Let me check these out then." You nod your head cluelessly and turn around with the basket to head to the counter. Jimin smirked slightly to himself finding you cute and follows you to the counter. Only if you knew that the rare unique fragrance he was talking about was you.

Jimin gathered a lot of courage and prepared himself a lot so that he wouldn't stutter or mess up today when he finally decided to see you. . He wasn't sure where his feelings or you stood in him at the moment because of the things Jungkook and Taehyung said. All Jimin knew was that he was going to take his time and get to know what he really wants in life. 

He really wanted to sincerely make it up to you for ghosting you over misunderstandings and start over as friends maybe. But as he walked in, he froze forgetting everything when he saw your friends there with you. He completely spaced out when your panicked eyes locked with his. He couldn't focus on what your friends were saying but seeing you turning red and shutting up your best friend he could just say that it's something that you didn't want him to hear.

He looked at the two girls who were staring at him with questionable eyes. He didn't pay much attention to it and made small basic conversation. He noticed that Vinny was constantly trying to get a glimpse of what was in his hand as he kept the bag behind him the whole time.  Once you checked the items out. Jimin quickly paid and hurried out after wishing the ladies good night, hoping to find you alone some other time.

The next day everything was going on as usual. Just the normal boring life routine and work. The presence of Jimin was missed by you more and more. It's like the void in your life returned with a slap when he abruptly stopped coming as you were slowly getting used to him. 

The smiles that constantly played on your lips, the tingles you felt when hands of the clock strikes nine were all missed deeply. You wondered if you were just craving some company or if you just liked being around him. You weren't sure of your feelings but you were confident that it's not anything like Vinny or Joanne thinks of. 

Yesterday his visit surprised you but you didn't keep your hopes for today as it was already the closing time and he didn't show up. You waited for the customer who walked in earlier to be done with his shopping to turn on the closed sign. Once you were all alone, you got to cleaning the store fast as possible and checked out of work. 

Once you locked everything and stepped out into the side walk, you halted on your tracks when you saw Jimin leaning against the street lamp post with a familiar bag in his hand. You slowly took few steps towards  him eyeing the bag. You realized that it was the bag that you gave Jimin weeks back with containers filled with food. So does this mean he was waiting for me? Your eyes lit up at the thought and your heartstrings tugged when he looked up at you.

"Hi." He smiled slightly as he pushed himself off the post and straightened himself as you approached him.

"H-Hi." You smiled back not sure if you should say something else or just wait for him to say something. Just let him take the lead. Your inner thoughts voiced inside your head.

"Is it ok if I walk you home?" He asks confidently in a soft voice which gave flutters to your heart. You couldn't find your voice to reply as his gaze was locked on you. Seeing that your response was taking longer he slightly lifted the bag in his hand to show you what he is holding. "I need to return these too." He added. The small smile which you had on your lips stretched wider as you gave a slight nod. Without taking much time you turn towards the byroad as he joined next to you.

The moment together with him was silent, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It's just both of you didn't know what to say. You waited for him but seemed like he was also lost of words as you. Not wanting to continue the silence, you spoke taking the matters into the hand.

"So.. did you enjoy the food?" He turned his head to look at you and seeing you looking at the bag he let out a smile and a nod. 

" Yes. I did. Thankfully I didn't have to come looking for medicine." He says in an amused tone and you couldn't help but chuckle softly. 

 "I'm glad. I already had medicine prepared just incase." You played along.

"You are a great cook. You don't have to hold on to them anymore." He replied, his smile now turning into a grin. 

"Thanks. I won't then."  You wanted to continue talking to him as the awkwardness was fading away, but unfortunately you both have already reached your home. Silence fell again between you two. You couldn't look at him for long so you looked up the stairs without thinking much.  

"Is Jae home alone?" Jimin asks getting your attention. You didn't expect him to ask about your son or remember his name.

"No. I have a babysitter taking care of him." 

"Oh. Well then I'll let you get back to them. Thanks for the lovely dishes once again. I ate well thanks to you." He says returning the bag.

"Don't mention it. I'm just happy that you got to eat some homemade food." You say taking the bag from him. Your fingers slightly brushed against his and you could have sworn that you felt tingles on your skin. 

"I guess I'll get going now." He says looking at you directly once again.

"Good night Jimin." You smile giving a nod. Jimin returned your smile and you noticed a soft glint in his eyes.

"Good night, Y/n." He replied and took a step back. There was no 'I'll see you later.' It kind of sting because it felt like he didn't want anything to do with you and this was a good bye.

Not waiting for him, you turned and climbed up the stairs. You wanted to look back to see if he was looking back at you like he usually would, but you were scared for some reason. You didn't want to be disappointed.  You stopped in front of your door and hesitated a little to go in. What if he was waiting to wave at the end of the road? The question popped into your head and your brows furrowed a little. Don't be stupid Y/n, Why would he? He just came to return these, so don't over think. You say to yourself and enter your home after letting out a sigh.

As usual you found Sana on the dining table completing her assignments while Jae slept. She smiled brightly seeing you and slowly shut off her laptop. "Hey, how was work?" She asked in a low voice so that your son wouldn't wake up.

"Stressful as usual. Did you have dinner?" You ask in an equal tone. She gives a nod and started to pack her things. "I did and it was delicious as always." She gives a thumbs up.

"Pfft. Whatever." You let out a breathy chuckle as she always hyped up your cooking when it was not even that great. 

"I'll see you tomorrow then." She says getting up.

"No that's fine. You can have a day off since we will be going on a trip. I'll see you on Monday." You say to the girl and her smile got wider.

"That's great. I hope you two have a nice holiday then."

"You too. Have a nice weekend." You say walking her out to bid her a good night. 

After seeing Sana off, you first entered Jae's room to check on him. Like the sweet boy he is, he was sleeping like a little angel. Your heart always melts when you see him. Sometimes it hurts to think about how things would have been different if you made different choices. But unfortunately you can't change your past. You know whatever that happened was not your fault, but deep down you couldn't help but blame yourself for it. No matter how much you try to move passed it, the damage is already made beyond repair and you just got to live with it. And because of these you wonder if you would ever find real happiness again. If you could ever find someone or something that would make you feel whole and less lonely. No matter how much you secretly crave other things, for now your main priority is your son. You already vowed with your life that you would put his needs and his happiness first.

With these lingering thoughts, you tucked in Jae more into the blanket to keep him warm. You placed a soft kiss on his head before heading back to your small living room. Your eyes fell on the bag that Jimin returned and you thought of putting them away before showering for bed. Taking the bag with you to the countertop of the kitchen, you opened the bag to find something that you didn't expect. It was a white paper bag with a gold design on it. It kind of look similar to the one Jimin was trying to hide behind him yesterday. 

You took it out and it kind of felt heavy, opening the bag you found two luxurious looking white and gold boxes inside. You took one out with curious eyes and a big smile tugged your lips when you read the note on to it.

'Thanks for the delicious food .  I ate to my heart content past few days. In return I hope you  enjoy this small treat with little Jae. I got you both the same range so that you don't fight. You two are amazing so keep smiling  '◡'  '

You looked down at the boxes and opened one to see that they were hand made premium chocolates. It's been forever since you had good quality chocolates, especially given to you buy a guy. Actually this is the first and it's making your heart tingle on the inside. And the fact that he thought of Jae to get him one too just made you smile more. Popping a piece into your mouth, you hummed delighted with the rich taste of it. Your eyes wandered to the little note again. His hand writing was beautiful... just like him. You thought as you took the sticky note and stuck it on the fridge so that whenever you see the last few lines, it would cheer you up everyday.

"Is this all?" Jungkook ask pointing at your travel bag on the dining table, which was packed with yours and Jae's clothes for two days. You still couldn't believe that you are taking two days off to go on a trip. It really has been ages since you are stepping out of Seoul.

"Yup. That and my laptop bag. Vee and I will get the rest and come down in five minutes." You tell him as he was impatient to hit the road. You all were suppose to leave fifteen minutes ago but preparing snacks and some side dishes for the night took longer than you expected. Vinny loved cooking but she takes her time to make things perfect and presentable. So right now she was in your kitchen fixing up the sandwiches in layers. And you were here packing the rest into bags and containers.

"Why do you need your laptop? We are going on a short vacation." He frowned.

"I just need it for several reasons. Now just take them and go." You scowled as you were in a hurry to pack everything up. You had no time to have silly arguments with Jungkook just because he was bored. 

"Come fast. We need to leave soon. Where is your panda express energy today?" He asked in order to annoy you and you quickly reacted by swatting his arm with the wooden spatula that was near you.

"Yah! You are so mean." He complained rubbing his arm.

"Oh please. As if you are a saint. Quit acting like a kid when you are a grown ass dumb coconut head." You made a face which he easily gets annoyed to and in result you got his playful glare as he reached out aiming to tug at your hair. Being around Jungkook and fighting with him for the past two years, you could easily read his moves, so you quickly side stepped out of his reach with hands ready to fight.

"YAH! Do you want to fight now? Or do you want me to finish packing so we can get going?"

"Oh god! Are you two fighting like kindergarten kids already. I swear you two can look at Jae who is the real kid and learn something." Vinny shouts from the kitchen after hearing you two bicker.

You and Jungkook looked at each other after getting scolded from your bestie. You raised a brow at Jungkook in challenging manner without letting the guard down. "Just hurry up." Jungkook sighs picking up your bag from the table.

"Just go away." You smirked at him and he just rolled his eyes at you but finally smiles. "I'm taking Jae and we are gonna go wait in the car." he tells you and you give a nod before he walks out calling for Jae who was playing on the terrace.

Without wasting anymore time you quickly packed the snacks and went over to help Vinny to wrap up. It was almost 5 pm and the drive was going to be at least for one and half hours according to the google maps. Once you and Vinny load up the stuff to the car, you got in the back expecting to see Jae already seated. But he was on Jungkook's lap playing with the steering wheel while giggling with the elder man. You smiled seeing them because Jae really liked Jungkook and so did he.

"Ok champ, time to go to Momma now. We can have more fun later. Alright?" Jungkook spoke to your boy in a sweet manner flashing his bunny smile.

"Mm! Lets play later uncle Kookie." Jae agrees and lifts himself off from Jungkook's with his help. He turned back and raised his little hands towards you.

"Ok. Come here love." You say holding him and pulling him back to you. Making him sit comfortably on his car seat, you strapped him carefully for his safety. Once that was done, you all finally hit the road for the weekend getaway, hoping for it to be a fun and unforgettable one.
