"Stop sulking. It's been three days and you keep getting moodier and moodier day by day." Vinny slapped your back and you scowled at her. Wanting to irritate her back, you snatched the chip bag from her hand and stuffed your own mouth with some. 

"Heyyy! That's mine." Vinny complained as she launched forward, but you quickly raised your hand holding the chips away from her.

"Is it because of him?" Joanne asks out of nowhere. She was sitting cross legged on the floor while playing with blocks as you and Vinny were on the sofa, who were about to fight over the bag of chips.

"What? NO! Why would he affect me in any ways." You snorted trying to give the ' I'm fine' look but both of them just saw right through you. You were taken aback a little by that direct question and Vinny took that moment to snatch back her snack out of your hand.

"Yeah right.. try telling that again without being obvious. Bish.. it's written all over your face. You like him don't you." Vinny shook her head at you not buying your facade. 

"What, Nooo.. Pfft. I-"

"Don't you dare open that mouth to lie to us. Don't waste your energy and words. You know that you can't lie to me. You never sulked like this before." Vinny cut you off with her stern look. The look that would make you uneasy at times. So you just took a slow deep breath before answering.

"It's not like that. Ok.. It's just.. I just kinda miss the late night chats and laughs what we had going the past couple of days. There is nothing more. I always saw this coming and I kept telling you two that he will bolt too when he finds out." You pointed at your friends.

It's been three days since Jimin walked away and ever since you didn't see him at all. First you were disappointed but as days passed you were getting a bit sad. You did miss him, it would be a lie if you say that you didn't hope that it was Jimin who walked in every time the door bell at the store chimed. But you understand, it's not like he is bound to come to the store and have unhealthy meals everyday and help you out. You are basically nobody that he met weeks ago. Besides, He is a really nice guy who needs to have a life that would suit him, a like without a burden, a life without scarred responsibilities. And that life is so not you. 

"I still can't believe that he just walked away without a bye and went AWOL. I mean what's wrong with having a kid. Specially when it's Jae.. he is the cutest and no one can resist him. " Joanne spoke up and Vinny gave you the secret look that only you and her would understand. It lasted only for seconds as she quickly bounced back in attacking you with Joanne.

"I'm sure that he is just shocked and just taking some time to wrap it up around his head. It's your fault for not telling him about Jae before hand." Your best friend blamed it on you just like that. You don't know why but she got this weird interest in you and Jimin. She  acts like as if she is the cupid who was sent to tie up a couple who are a match made in heaven. It's so not like her. There were different guys in the past that tried to flirt with you or tried to take you out, but Vinny just flat out refuses them behalf of you and drags you away even though you didn't show any interest at those men at all. 

"I thought he knew!" You exclaimed not wanting to take the blame for anything.  "For god sakes he is best friends with both of your men. And the fact that he didn't know about this shows that he wasn't interested in me the way you guys think he is. And maybe that's why he never spoke about me to his friends to even find out that I had a kid or not." You just didn't know what to say in that moment and just blabbered.

"So you want me to call Tae and ask?" Joanne asked pulling out her phone.

"What! No!" You quickly threw a throw pillow at her which was next to you and it hit her straight on the face. "Oww!" Joanne whine looking up at you with a frown but you just ignored.

"Don't you dare ask them anything about this. Got it?  You too. I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea. It would be just so embarrassing." You say pointing at Vinny as well. "And we were just talking random things like friends.. It's not like I could just go off topic and be like.. 'Oh hey by the way I'm single but I have a son. I just want you to know for your future references incase you are planning to take me on a date!' He would have given me the what the fuck look." You pointed out huffing.

"Bish.. there are ways to say it without sounding desperate. You know what.. Never mind.. lets just leave it. You suck at flirting anyways." Vinny munched on few more chips giving you the I'm done with you bitch.. and you're just hopeless look.

"Ok lets drop this topic. We can't change anything now." Joanne pitched in as she finished placing the last piece to the castle she was making.

"Yeah.. lets drop it. Anyways.. it's good that things went this way. It would have been awkward if he actually asked that question." You say being half honest with your heart. 

"Why would it be awkward?" Vinny questioned not wanting to let it rest.

"Because... well.. I might have turned him down and it would have not felt nice. You all know that I'm not willing to date anyone. And also I don't think I even like him that way." It was again a lie that you strongly believed. 

"Oh god! You are right Jo.. lets drop it. No point of talking to this dense thick head." Vinny sighed turning away and you just made a face at her to which Joanne snorted. Joanne is the calm one out of you three and also the patient one. At least most of the times, she shows her wrath only to Taehyung when she reaches her limit. And that's also very rare. You have seen that side of her only once or twice.

"Now enough talking, lets go grab something to drink and then we can pick up our little baby J from his Taekwondo class. And we can go shopppppiiiiinggg after that. It's been a while." Joanne exclaimed wiggling her fingers while getting excited.

"No.. Jae and I are coming back home. You two can go shopppiiinngg by yourselves." You wiggled your fingers back at her giving her your smug grin.

"Please.. It's us you are talking about. Stop being the boring ass and come with us. It's better than sulking at home." Vinny is the type never to take a no for an answer, so you just easily gave in. "Fine! Lets go." The girls squealed and hopped up to grab their bags before heading out, dragging you along for a very long tiring but an eventful day.

Jimin glanced down every side of the alley and even in to the  store as he walked past it. He was subconsciously searching for you even though he knew you won't be around since it's Sunday. He hadn't meant to do it, but he just couldn't help himself. His heart still lingers around unexplainable feelings. He sure is upset, but at himself and not at you. He never thought a simple interest in you would lead him here into a situation like this. He didn't even realize that he liked you a lot more than he thought he did when he walked away that night.

He felt bad but he couldn't help it. He couldn't wrap his head around the thought that you already belonged to someone else. Of course it's not surprising. If he had that chance, he would have married you and would have started a family too without any hesitation because you are that great in his eyes. No wonder you smell like fruits, vanilla and baby products, you literally have a kid at home while he was there just day dreaming about a date. He can't believe he let himself get this involved without even checking if you had someone in your life or not. It was not your fault, he would never blame you because you never lead him on. You were just being kind and friendly. 

But now what's the point of thinking all of this. It's not like anything is going to change except that he should really mind his business now. He really do want to see you and pretend that everything was ok and come up with an excuse because it felt rude to ignore you after running off like that. But he didn't know how to do it or what to say. Just don't think too much Park. It's not like she cares or something. And why the fuck did you have to find an already taken woman interesting after three long years.

Inside Jimin's head he  went into another argument with his brain and his heart. He was still wrapping around the facts in his heart but it was refusing them. She has a kid who calls her MOMMA. Probably a husband. Definitely a life. And he is the single guy who can't stop picturing your pretty face, your smile and the way you took charge of everything around you even if it's hard, never once losing your cool, handling everything with the kind of efficiency that shouldn't be sexy when you're dealing with various kinds of people but nevertheless has him wanting to know more about you. You're probably happily married, because you should be. You seemed like a good person, and good people deserve to be happy.  

Jimin sighed out loud and walked towards the park to calm his head down and collect his thoughts. He got over his ex easily so this is nothing. He thought as he shoved both his hands in his pockets and trailed along the tracks, enjoying the fresh air. Earlier Hoseok called and pestered Jimin to go grab drinks with Jungkook and Taehyung. Hoseok was bored and wanted a boys night out. But Jimin kept refusing as he was not in the mood. He just want to clear his thoughts and come to an agreement with his heart while he was sober, not drunk. 

Taking lazy slow steps, Jimin looked around at the playing happy kids and as usual, a small smile tugged his lips. He wondered if the little cute boy who calls him Mr. Angel was around today. Subconsciously he looked at the little boys who passed him as he continued with the walk. 

"Oh! Mister Angel!" Jimin's smile grew as he heard the familiar tiny voice and turned his head to the side to see the little boy waving at him. Jimin stopped and waved back at the boy feeling happy to see him.

"Hi Kiddo. How are you feeling today?" He ask a bit loudly since the boy was a bit away from him. Not wanting to shout back, the small one hopped forward closing the distance between him and Jimin.

"I'm good Mr. Angel. Thank you for helping me but I will not talk to you again." He says sadly looking down while pulling his tiny finger on his right hand.

"Oh no! Why is that? Don't you like your Mr. Angel anymore?" Jimin asks pouting a little while placing his hand over his chest to show that he is upset.

"No." The boy quickly shook his head side to side. "I like you Mr. Angel. But Momma told me not to talk to strangers." He pouted back and the cuteness of the boy just softened Jimin's heart. 

"Well your momma is correct about that. But we can stop being strangers and be friends if you like." Jimin suggested.

"Uhm. I like that. My name is Jae and I'm four years old. Will you like to be my friend Mr. Angel?" He lisped cutely and put out his little hand for Jimin to shake.

"Hi Jae. My name is Jimin and I would love to be your friend." Jimin spoke fast as he leaned forward to take Jae's hand in his.

"Mimi?" The boy asks cutely as he didn't hear Jimin's name properly. Jimin found it funny and spoke through chuckles crouching down to his level. "Not Mimi.. it's Jimin."

"Oh. Mr. MinMin." Jae smiled flashing his tiny white teeth.

"Why are you so cute. It's Ji-min. Jimin. But never mind. Just call me whatever you like." He says booping Jae's nose. 

"Ok. Then Mr. Angel.. do you like to meet my momma? I want to show my new friend." Jae grabs onto Jimin's hand looking excited. Jimin was liking this kid a lot so he just gave a nod so that his parents wouldn't worry about their kid talking to adult strangers. "Sure. Lets go." 

"Yay! Lets go. My momma is really nice. No scary." Jae informs his new friend.

"That's really good then. I'm sure your momma is lovely." Jimin smiles as he walked towards the play area of the park, holding the little boy's hand. 

"My momma is a Princess." the boy happily gloated about his mother. And that made Jimin warm because it showed how much this kid is loved and cared for. He almost envied the kid but he was not a person like that. But before Jimin could say anything to that, The little boy started getting excited.

"Momma! Momma! Look." Jae spoke loudly getting the attention of the woman who was seated on a bench few feet away. Jimin could have sworn he forgot how to breathe when she turned to look at her son and then at him. It was you! You are this little boy's mother. Jimin's heart twitched hard as he didn't fail to notice your eyes going wide and your smile wavered a little when your gaze locked with his.

"Jimin?" His name left your lips almost in a whisper.

"Mr. Angel. This is my Momma. Momma.. meet my.. my new friend." Jae tugged on Jimin's hand pulling him forward to you as he introduced the friend. It was awkward as hell but your son was staring at you, waiting to be acknowledged.

"Uh-m.. Hi.." You just blurted before gathering yourself together.

"H-Hi.." Jimin stuttered a bit not knowing what to do.

"Momma. This is Mr. Angel who always help me." Jae jumped in breaking the unknown awkwardness between the two adults. 

"Oh really." You were surprised by this news and you smiled softly at Jimin. "Thanks for helping him out. I did hear a lot about you from Jae.. but I never thought it would be you."

"Don't mention it.. I guess it really is a small world and we live close by so.. I guess we were bound to bump into each other." Jimin rubbed the back of his neck looking around.

"JAE!!! COME HERE! WE ARE STARTING THE GAME!" Two kids suddenly shouted with a ball in their hand. 

"COMING!" Jae shouted back getting excited.

"Mr. Angel I will go play now. Momma I will be back." Jae chimed and when you both gave a nod, he ran off to his friends leaving you and Jimin alone. He cleared his throat and you looked at everywhere else but him.

"Would you like to sit?" You asked moving away to make space for him as you offered. Jimin just wanted to turn on his heels and run back to his apartment but he knew he got to fix things up. At least apologize for his unacceptable behavior last time. 

"Sure." Jimin gave a tight smile as he slowly took a step forward to you. Just few days ago you two were all giggly and fooling around like you guys knew each other for a long time but now it's the total opposite. You both sat in silence for few seconds not knowing what to say. The silence was getting awkward so Jimin decided to break it.

"Listen.. about the other day. I'm s-"

"It's ok. You don't have to explain anything. I understand." You didn't let him finish as you didn't want to hear any lame excuses. On the other hand Jimin didn't know how to respond. He wondered if you thought bad about him for trying to make a move.

"I'm sorry. I just didn't know. I shouldn't have done that." Jimin sounded low and you didn't like it. You didn't want to put him in a position to make him feel that he did  something wrong. 

"Done what? I don't think that you did anything wrong." This made Jimin finally turn and look at you. His heart skipped a beat seeing you look at him just like how you used to. 

"But I-I just walked away that night an-"

"I'm sure you remembered something urgent and you were really busy the past few days." You made it easy for him and smiled as if it wasn't a big thing. Jimin wanted to feel relieved but he couldn't. You just made it obvious that you knew that he was avoiding you and trying to play it cool. It made Jimin uneasy, he didn't understand why he was acting like this, but the more he stayed the more his heart felt heavy. I need to get back! 

"Yeah I was. I just came to get some air. I think I should head back now. I still have some work pending." Jimin lied taking what you said as an opportunity. He hated lying but he was lost.

"Oh! Then you better get back. I'll see you some other time then."

"Yeah.. I'll see you later." You watched Jimin hastily stand up. For some reason you knew that he will not see you again anytime soon. It's so obvious that he wanted to get away soon and to have nothing to do with you. Nodding your head you gave him your smile, you couldn't help but stare at him for a second longer as you locked eyes with him for a brief moment. He returned his soft gesturing smile before turning to go say good bye to Jae. 

Your heart warmed when he ruffled your boy's hair and high fived with him while laughing over something as he part ways. "Why do I feel sad?" You mumbled to yourself and then let out a heavy sigh not wanting to let your mind roam any further. 

Jimin walked as fast as possible away from the kid's area not wanting to look back no matter how much his heart wanted to. The way you looked at him made him want to throw away everything and try go back to the flirty happy self with you. But he knew it was wrong. He thought he couldn't bear to be next to you because of the embarrassment he brought upon himself. But that was least of the reasons. The moment he walked out, he knew that he just couldn't bear the fact that he was unable to be with you till he made up his mind. This was deeper than he thought and he wondered how was it possible to bond on such deeper levels like this in such short period of time. And what's worse was he didn't even know that he missed your eyes and your soft smile this much till he saw them again just now.

Feeling frustrated he roughly fished his phone out of his pocket. He straight up dialed Hoseok's number and waited for him to pick up. "Are you guys still going?" Jimin asks to confirm and as soon as his friend confirmed that they are still going to hang out and Yoongi will be joining too, he responded immediately. "Fine.. I'll be there at Kook's in few." 

The club was crowded as it was a weekend. It's been a while since Jimin came into one. Initially the boys wanted to have drinks at Jungkook's place but Hoseok and Yoongi had other things in mind and wanted to chill out. Specially after seeing Jimin's troubled state. It was obvious for his friend's that something was bothering him but they just didn't know what. Jimin just brushed it off saying that he was just stressed with work. 

That ended up him being dragged to the club to loosen up as well. In a way Jimin thought that it's a good way for the time being to get rid of the bitter feeling he is having in his heart. 

"Jimina take it easy... or do you want something more stronger?" Taehyung asks seeing Jimin's glass getting empty in seconds. 

"I'm good." Jimin just answered bitterly as his eyes roamed the dance floor, desperately trying to set his attention on a different girl. 

"Mind telling us what the fuck is wrong with you today?" Yoongi asks seeing Jimin's grim face.

"Nothing." Jimin replied not meeting his eyes.

"Nothing my ass. You just need to get fucking laid. Your unattended dick is finally getting the best of you." Hoseok teases.

"Shut up. My dick is doing fine without the need of whoring out into random holes." Jimin was getting annoyed a bit, not only at his friends but at himself too. 

"Oh yeah. What about that chick from Kook's party. She was random." Yoongi pointed out of nowhere bringing up the girl that Jimin was trying to forget.

"What girl? You were with a girl at Kook's?" Taehyung sounded more tipsy than Jungkook. Both of them looked at Jimin with curious eyes as if the two youngest were missing something.

"It was not like that. It was just Y/n." Jimin replied in a small voice wanting to sigh because the turmoil inside his heart just rose at the mention of your name.

"Oh Y/n. It's good that it was not like that then." Jungkook voiced out.

"Why not. She looked hot." Yoongi questioned getting slightly interested seeing a slight change in Jimin's expression. It's something different and Yoongi knew it.

"Because you wouldn't want to get punched in the face by her husband." Jimin grabbed the bottle frowning to pour himself another glass. But stopped midway when Jungkook burst out into chuckles.

"What husband?"

"Yeah.. what husband? As far as I know Y/n is single." Taehyung's brows furrowed.

"What are ya'll talking about. She has a kid as well." Jimin got confused by his friends reaction.

"Jimina.. you don't necessarily have to be married to have a baby daddy." Hoseok chimed munching on a snack that was served.

"No.. No.. Y/n got no man in her life. All I know is that her boyfriend left her when baby Jae was born and ever since she never dated. More like didn't have time. She is a busy person with so much going on in her life." Jungkook cleared it out.

Jimin's head immediately snapped up. The bitter feeling was slowly disappearing from him and his eyes was suddenly replaced with hope. He would have thought he was hearing things that he wanted to hear if he had few more shots, but he knew that he was not drunk for that.  "So she is a single mom?" Jimin questioned.

"Woah bro.. that's even hotter. you can easily hit it and leave it." Yoongi ran his mouth to test the waters. As expected Jimin responded with a deadly glare, but before he could say anything, Jungkook snapped at them.

"Watch it. Better not talk about her like that. And stay the fucking away from her. She is not someone to use for your entertainment. If you want to hit and leave then there are plenty of them right there shaking their asses. Go pick on them." 

"Whoa! Easy there. What's your problem.. You already have a girlfriend." Yoongi started getting amused by teasing the young ones. 

"Yeah and she is my girl's best friend and family. No one messes with them. Besides Y/n already have a hard life. I don't want you guys to mess it up just for some temporary fun. We are in the same circle and I don't want any of us to have bitter awkward feelings or problems among ourselves." Jungkook came out  in a warning tone. 

"Yeah guys. I have to agree with Kook on this one. She is my girl's friend too, And her son is Jo's student. They are very fond of each other. So too much complications will occur.. unless.. if you want to be serious." Taehyung pitched in.

"Pfft.. Serious and these two.. it's like the sky and the earth when it comes to relationships. So knowing you two.. back off." Jungkook was tipsy but he said what needed to be said.  Jimin didn't know if he should be relieved by it or not. Of course it's not like he is looking for fun.. but if it turns out bad and if you reject him, will it really be awkward?

"Jeez fine. Calm your shit down. It's not like we said we want her. Yoongi was just simply messing with ya'll." Hoseok says and gulps down the remaining bit of his alcohol. 

"I wasn't talking about us.. Of course we are not into serious shit. But what if there was a Romeo who wants to give it a go." Yoongi's eyes glistened and a small almost invisible smirk tugged the corner of his lips as he watched Jimin shift a little. Due to the neon and dim lights of the club, others failed to notice it. But his good friend who spend the last two years under the same roof could read into Jimin's behavior better than before. It was intriguing because it's been a while since Yoongi saw this look on Jimin. It was the same look he had when he was starting to like his ex back in the days. 

"Romeo?" Jungkook broke into a laughter. "Where can we find a Romeo nowadays.. besides.. who wants to be love sick like him. He was too extreme." 

"Yah! What was so extreme about Romeo. He fought for his love till the last breath." Taehyung slurred a little.

"Are you kidding me. Who the fuck wants to die in the name of love. Bruh.. you should know when to leave when things are not working out so at least they could move on and find something better in life. They were being idiots and their greed just got them killed. And for fucks sake all of that after just meeting for a day." Jungkook started after scoffing.

"Have you heard of love at first sight bitch. When you meet the one, you just know it. You are fucking anti romantic anyways.. I don't know why the fuck you are even dating." Taehyung argued.

"Who cares about romantic shit these days. As long as you get each other and can have a good time, keeping each other happy... Then that's all that matters." Jungkook argued back.

"Ok. I'm outta here. You fuckers are annoying me. Gonna go find myself a girl to take home. Hopefully I don't cross paths with any Juliets." Hoseok stood and nudged Jimin to move and give space for him to leave while the two youngest were arguing back and forth over god knows what. They were just drunk and getting at each other for fun.

"I'm coming too." Yoongi gave another look to Jimin before he followed Hoseok. 

"Fuck you, Taehyung, you've been spending way too much time with your sentimental Jo. You're becoming like those love sickos." Jungkook spat with a mischievous glint in his eye. Taehyung returned a wicked grin to Jungkook getting annoyed and proceeded to rugby tackle him, played around fighting like children while Jimin pondered his thoughts

Despite the racket coming from his friends' rumble, there was a deafening silence in his head. He was having mix feelings because of the things happened the past few days, and even today he acted like a jerk from what he remembered. He hated the idea of someone else was in your life claiming you. He hated the idea of not being able to be around you and feel those tiny tingles in his heart whenever you smiled at him. He just hated everything that happened because of his damn misunderstanding and lack of knowledge about you. 

He picked up his phone which was on the table in front of him and flipped it in between his fingers, contemplating if he should approach you or not. He is now aware that you have a kid and according to what Jungkook said, you had a rough life. So he knew things were not going to be simple, especially after messing up big time walking away from you. But before anything Jimin wanted to be sure what he really wants now. He just got settled into a decent life, he wondered if he could be responsible for a kid who is in the life of the woman he is attracted to. It's been a while since he had a proper relationship, so he wasn't sure if he could take a big step in committing to someone who already had a big responsibility. 

Part of him wanted to listen to his heart but a part of him wanted to think from his brain and just start things casually rather than letting his feelings take control. But whatever it is, he was sure that he will be dropping by the store soon to check up on you and see how he feels when he is around you before deciding on anything. He just didn't want to hurt anyone by promising something that he cannot commit to. He is simply not that guy anymore.
