Even though the music was blasting from the speakers, you heard nothing for a second as your gaze locked with the handsome man in front of you. The way he called out your name heated your cheeks as you felt a weird tug in your heart.

You two just stared at each other longer than necessary, not wanting to let go the warmth radiating from your clasped hands. But the sudden throat clearing made both of you snap out of it and turn to the other two with you. Vinny was already giving you weird smiles and Jungkook said something to Jimin which you paid no attention to.

"What?" You mouth to Vinny after making sure the two men are not looking. She just wiggled her brows and you just rolled your eyes at her.

"So Jimin, I heard that you just moved back to Seoul. How is that going?" Vinny started off to strike a conversation with Jimin in a weird tone. You know that tone very well. Since she is currently mastering in psychology, and since you have seen her practicing few times, you very well knew she was currently analyzing Jimin.

"It's only been four days and I'm still settling in. But so far, everything is good." Jimin answered politely. You really liked his calmness and the soft way he was speaking.

"Oh nice. Did you come here for work?"

You thought the questions would stop after this but you were wrong. She continued one after another. You looked at Jungkook who looked up at the same time as you. Both of you knew this will not end up well, If she is unable to find any fault, she would continue till the other person gets irritated thinking Vinny is being nosy. So when you met Jungkook's gaze, you signaled him to do something pointing at Vinny with your eyes. Over the past two years, you and Jungkook have magically learnt to communicate without words when it came to Vinny, and surprisingly, you both understood each other well.

"Babe, why don't you have a chat with Jimin later.. I need to introduce the other two before they get drunk." Jungkook wrapped an arm around her shoulder and tugged her towards him. You smiled and gave her an encouraging nod to go ahead, that you would be fine.

"I-I'm sorry about that. Sometimes she forgets that she is dealing with real people and not her study cases." You say sheepishly smiling at the fine looking man in front of you.

"Study cases? Is she a lawyer or a psych maybe?" He asked looking amused. Smart! You thought nodding your head.

"A psych student. Sorry if she made you uncomfortable. She is normally fun." You defend your best friend.

"No.. That's fine. I was more than happy to share about myself." He chuckles lightly.

"That's great then." You say and take a sip from your drink realizing you are now all alone with this Hot specimen in a crowded party.

"What about you? Would you like to share something about yourself?" He asks getting your attention.

"Oh. Well there's nothing interesting to be honest. My life just passes between work and home. Very boring." You say lightly without giving away much. And he just simply nods, looking at you in a way that you couldn't understand.

"So.. how long have you and Jungkook been friends? Are you also from that Bangtan friend club?" You ask simply realizing that he had no intentions of leaving.

"Ahh.. Can't believe Kook told you about the club and the name." Jimin chuckles a little. "Well yeah. I'm from that gang. And we have known each other since we were kids."

"Gang? Well Kook didn't say it exactly. Once it slipped and I have picked up some info here and there about the special friend thing." You say honestly.

"I see. Well we are not a gang like you think. We are just a group of seven best friends. We go way back. We used to always get together and do things and stuff. We called ourselves the Bangtan boys and Tae even made it a Bangtan club. It was popular during the college times." He explains briefly and that surprised you.

"Oh! I bet you guys were." You say thinking over it. Seeing Jungkook, Taehyung, Namjoon and now Jimin. You could definitely tell that they were popular. They should have named it Hotties Club instead.

"So.. have you met the other guys?" He asks out of curiosity.

"Ah.. Not really. I only know Tae and Joon apart from Jungkook and now you."

The more you talked, the more Jimin was getting intrigued. He had this sudden urge to get to know you. He could see that you are closed up and careful with your words, and that's what Jimin found more interesting, it was making him try make you open up more. He was right about you. You were hard to figure out. But when you smile, it's the most warmest and genuine thing he had seen in a while.

You looked around to see if Vinny was there in sight but she had disappeared completely. You are not good at keeping conversations alive since you barely talk to people you just met for this long. It also got you wondering why a guy like Jimin is still here talking to you without walking away.

"Jimina!" A loud voice called out making you and Jimin turn your heads towards the voice. Another handsome guy walked towards you holding a girl's hand who looked really pretty in the blush pink dress she was wearing. His plum lips were spread into a beautiful smile and  his wide shoulders were hard to miss. He looked happy to see Jimin.

"Jin. You are late." Jimin called out happily as the two men hugged each other. You have heard this name before and it didn't take long to realize that he is from this Bangtan gang as well. Seriously how are all of them so good looking? Now you wouldn't even be surprised if the remaining two you haven't met are this good looking too.

Thinking that it's your cue to leave, you tried to slip out to give them privacy but you stopped when Jimin turned to you. "Y/n, this is the eldest of our group, Jin. And Jin this is Y/n." Jimin introduced you to the handsome man who was standing there with his girl in his arms.

"Hi there, are you Jimin's girlfriend?" He asks and your cheeks turned red as you stuttered. "N-No. We just met." You replied immediately not wanting them to misunderstand. 

"Yes. This is Kook's girl's best friend." Jimin made it more clear to his friend.

"Oh I see. This is my wife Sarang." Jin introduced the girl next to him and you greeted her with a smile. She immediately leaned forward to hug you and spoke to you in a cheering voice as if you already knew each other. It wasn't uncomfortable but it surprised you to see her friendly side. You were about to get held up by three people you just met but to your relief Taehyung showed up with Joanne.

"Jo.. Tae!" You were so happy to see faces that you know and you happily hugged them. The guys looked excited to see each other. "Where are the others?" Taehyung asks looking around.

"I don't know. We just got here few minutes back." Jin replied.

"Lets go and find them. Must be upstairs." Taehyung suggested and the other two men agreed. Leaving you girls behind to bond, they all went up. Joanne already knew Sarang so it was easy to get along. You really enjoyed their company and was finally loosening yourself up.

"Where the hell did you disappear to?" You frowned when Vinny finally joined you girls.

"It was hard to get away from Hobi and Yoongi. Those two literally had me helping them set up more beers in their private hang out room, but thankfully the rest joined. It was rude to walk away at once, so I took my time and helped them set up their room while joking around." Vinny took the drink from your hand and took a sip.

"I'm sure Jin must have annoyed you with his dad jokes." Sarang snorted knowing her husband too well.

"Yes he did. But i found them funny to be honest. We vibe well. I don't know why the other guys just make faces when he starts." Vinny chuckled.

"That's a first. I never get his jokes." Joanne commented.

"Neither do I. I just laugh to make him happy, just like Jimin do." Sarang giggled. The music got louder as the most trending song started playing. The crowd started cheering and that hyped up the girls around you.

"Ok now enough chit chatting. Lets move these hips and get the party started. Come on.. lets go dance." Vinny tugged on to your arm and encouraged the other two.

"We should totally. Lets gooo." Sarang got excited and happily pulled Joanne to the dance floor to get lost in the crowd.

"Vee you know I can't dance." You tugged your hand back.

"Oh please.. like I do. So who cares.. Lets just shake what we got. Now come on. We are here to have fun." She tugged on your arm again and this time you let her pull you to the dance floor.

Jimin mentally sighed as he ran his hand through his hair feeling a bit frustrated. Taehee was drunk and was acting like a brat tugging on to Jimin's arms to dance with her. He regret coming upstairs and now he just wants to get away.

"Jiminieee... Come on." The petite girl with red hair whined.

"Sorry Taehee.. not now. Go find someone else to dance with." Jimin tried not to sound rude. He knew that if he step into that dance floor with her, she will be all over him and it won't be pretty. Specially when her brother is his best buddy.

"Why not. Jiminie ple -"

"Taehee that's enough. Jimin said not now so leave him alone or else I will send you home." Taehyung used his hard tone. Taehee glared at her brother and he glared back in a warning manner.

"Fine. You guys are such bores." She yells and stomps away without another glance. Both Taehyung and Jimin relaxed and sighed out loud once she disappeared.

"Thanks man."

"Sorry about that. I thought her crazy is gone but I guess I'm wrong." Taehyung shook his head feeling a bit embarrassed because of his sister.

"It's fine. Anyways we were expecting that." Jimin chuckled patting his friend shoulder. And when he looked up, he noticed Jungkook walking towards them with an amused smile plastered on his face. Jimin knew that Jungkook was going to annoy him about Taehee but before he could say anything, he looked down at the crowd when something caught his eye as they were standing near the railing.

"Seems like they are having fun without us." Jungkook commented with his lip curling up. Jimin and Taehyung followed his gaze to look down to see what he was talking about. That's when Jimin saw the girls dancing and strangely his eyes searched for you first. A smile tugged his lip when he saw you awkwardly moving to the beats. He could see that you weren't confident but still you looked cute.

"Isn't that Mark, who is trying to hit on my girl?" Taehyung's eyes go wide seeing a guy checking Joanne out.

"I think so. We better get down there and join them. You know how he likes to hunt girls at parties like they are his prey." Jungkook says and the other two agrees on it. Mark maybe one of their known friends but he got a terrible reputation. No man who knows him would want him near their girls. Even though Jimin was single and didn't have any girl to protect, he still just followed his friends down. He did have the urge to go to you and dance, but he just stayed back to watch.

Jungkook and Taehyung quickly claimed their girlfriends and started moving to the music getting lost in their own world. You were left with Sarang and you seemed fine for a while. But when Jin walked in and swept away his wife, you were left alone. Jimin watched you look around slightly moving to the music.

You felt left out as your friends paired up with their partners. While looking around casually to find a way to get out, you noticed the silver haired guy from earlier who was trying to hit on Joanne was now looking at you. He seemed to get closer to you little by little and he seemed drunk. You didn't find it comfortable by the way he was looking at you. Now you wanted to get out of this dance floor more than ever. While you were planning your escape, you suddenly felt a hand around your wrist and when you turned to look, it was Jimin. He gave a sharp look past you as if he was warning someone and then after few seconds he looked down at you and smiled slightly when his eyes met yours.

"Wanna get out of here?" He asks and you automatically gives a nod smiling. You were relieved that he came to your much needed rescue as you wanted nothing more than to get out of here. Without another word, you followed Jimin out through the big glass doors into the backyard of Jungkook's house. You have never explored his house before so you were surprised to see how well maintained it was with a pool. There were only three or four people casually chatting so you felt comfortable out here with the hot guy you just met few hours ago.

"You can be at ease now." He lets go of your hand and smile softly at you.

"Thanks. I needed to get out." You say honestly and he gives a nod. He sees you looking towards the pool.

"Want to sit by it?" He asks and when you look at him, he gestures towards the pool with his head. You give a nod and walked towards the edge of the pool with Jimin behind you. Seeing the water shine beautifully under the night sky, you removed your heels, wanting to dip your feet in the pool.

Jimin chuckles softly as he sees you all excited when getting one foot at a time into the water as you sat down on the edge. He watched your lips spread into a bigger smile as a hum leave your lips. Wanting to join you, he rolled up his jeans a little and sat next to you.

"You are not a partygoer, are you?" Jimin asks taking you by surprise.

"Was I that obvious?" You reply with a question.

"Hmm.. Kind of." He nods and you wondered if he was observing you to know this.

"It's been almost five years to be honest." You didn't fail to notice his bit surprised reaction.

"Five years. Wow.. that's quite a while."

"Yeah. Life hasn't been easy. It kept me busy." You say honestly and you see his features soften. It was as if he was reminded of something and he was relating to what you stated.

"Yea. Life certainly isn't easy." He agrees and turns to look up at the sky. He looked calm as he stared into nothing. It looked liked he was having a moment with himself. Something about him was different and you liked it.

"What about you? You seem very comfortable." You say slowly moving your leg in the water, building ripples of waves around your feet which crashed against Jimin's unmoving ones. 

"I think I just got used to it over the years." He looks at you smiling and for the first time you notice a little dimple on his right cheek. With the pool reflection and faint lights under the night sky, this man looked angelic to you.

Jimin had his gaze locked with yours. It's been a while since he had a calm decent conversation with a girl who didn't try to devour him with their eyes. Most of the girls would always try to throw themselves at him at parties but then here you were, having all his attention, yet being in your own space. As he was going to ask something, your phone started ringing. You excused yourself and answered the call. Jimin watch your features change as your brows furrowed and eyes grew worried.

"Ok, I'm coming now." You say and hung up. He watched you dial someone else's number as you got up to wear your heels.

"Everything alright?" Jimin asks out of concern. You turned to look at him and you looked desperate.

"I-I need to go back and Vee is not answering." You blurted out worry taking over you.

"Lets go inside and check." Jimin suggested and you give a nod.

As you got inside the house, you and Jimin looked around for Jungkook and Vinny. Jimin quickly spotted them in the crowd still dancing happily enjoying the moment with the friends.

"I'll go get them." Jimin tells you and move forward but you quickly grab onto his arm and shake your head at him. Vinny looks too happy enjoying her boyfriend's day with him, so you felt guilty to drag her back home with you.

"Let her be. I'll find a way back." You say to him and he understood why you refused to go to them. You were being considerate but it kind of worried Jimin. "But how will you get back home?"

"I'll find a way. A cab maybe." You say in an unsure tone.

"But you will not find a cab at this hour. Let me drop you then." He offers.

"No. It's ok. I can't ruin the night for any of you. Just have fun. It was nice meeting you Jimin." You give him an assuring smile before trying to leave.

"I'm not having fun here. I wanted to get out as well. Please, I insist. You seem to be in a hurry too." Jimin states looking at you and he was right, you need to get back quickly.

"But you had drinks right?" You ask to be sure, so that he wouldn't be in trouble because of you and it's not safe.

"It was just coke. I didn't drink because I needed to drive back." He says and finally you agreed. He gave you a sweet smile before leading the way. In that moment you really were grateful to him, you just met him and he was already helping you out.

"So where to?" Jimin asks starting the car once you both settled in.

"Not that far. Let me just feed the place to the GPS." You say and when you entered the address, Jimin was surprised to see that it was only few blocks away from his apartment.

The car ride was mostly quiet as your mind was back at home. You needed to get there soon and you were glad that the drive was short. Jimin pulled up in front of your place and you turned to look at him.

"Thanks a lot for dropping me. And I'm sorry that you kept getting stuck with me tonight." You say clutching your purse, getting ready to get down.

"Please don't worry about it. I had a nice time." Jimin assured.

"Me too. It was not that bad. I hope we get to meet again." You give him a smile.

"I think you will see me sooner than you think." Jimin commented making you squint your eyes a little. He chuckles softly before he replied to your reaction. "It's a small world. You will see."

"Ok then. I better get going now. Thanks again." You say not properly understanding what he meant. But you were in a rush and had no time to sit back and figure things out.  

"No prob. Good night Y/n."

"Good night, Jimin."

Jimin smiled to himself as he watched you climbed the outer stairs to a rooftop house. He waited till you are out of the sight to drive off with the smile still lingering on his lips.
