I said looking straight into his eyes. He looked at with an unknown emotion. He leaned in causing me to lean back but soon my back hit the soft mattress. He hovered over my body climbing on the bed, keeping his palms beside my shoulders which were supporting his weight which otherwise would have crushed me. He looked at me and then at my lips. I wanted to push him away but I couldn't because he had the effect on me which made me want to kiss his lips. My lips were hungry for his. I closed my eyes because I didn't want to show him how desperate I was for the kiss.

I felt his warm breath on my lips all over my face, and his lips were just about to capture mine when my phone rang, snapping me from the trance, causing me to push him away with my palms with all the force I had, and he let me.

I got the phone and saw Adrian's name flashing on the screen.

I picked up the call. "Hey Adrian" I heard Xavier cursing in Italian softly.

"Hey, Lil sis!! Nice show that you put out there, I hope that it is just for show." "Yeah, Of course, it is," I said walking out of the room, avoiding his hot gaze on me.

"Where are you now?" "I am still in LA, in one of his Hotels." "Ooo let me guess my dearest ex-best friend made you stay in his suite?" "Yes" "And that horny bastard made you sleep with him in his bed." "No, he was mad when he found me in his bed." "WAIT WHAT THE FUCK I AM GOING TO BE AN UNCLE."

"What no," I said as I went towards the balcony, and I heard the shower turn on. "I didn't do anything with him, you idiot. He was having a nightmare, and-" "you were there for him as usual and you fell asleep there itself." "Yeah." "And not because you missed him in your arms and his warm body or anything?"

"No... Why did you call me again?" "Wait did you guys kiss? And why was that horny guy mad when he found you in his bed, shouldn't he be happy and kiss you or something?" I didn't say anything as remembered what happened just ten seconds ago. If Adrian hadn't called me would I have kissed him? And most importantly would we have stopped there?

"WAIT DID YOU GUYS KISS OMG!!! WAIT NO IF U DID THEN YOU WOULD HAVE SAID NO. WAIT DID I INTERRUPT A BABY MAKING PROGRESS? DANG I WANT TO BECOME AN UNCLE." He screamed and squeaked in my ears like a middle school girl.

"If you want to be an uncle Adrian you tell Maddie and Leo that. I am not going to do anything with Xavier." I snapped at him.

"Then why did I notice a hickey covered with total wrong the shade of concealer on your neck?" My eyes widened. "I don't know what you are talking about."

"Oh please Aubrey you are my sister and I know you very well and I brought thousands of concealers back in the days to cover the mark that my best friend left, speaking of which where is he?" "He is in the shower." "And you didn't join him?" "Adrian, is there any reason why you called me?"

"Omg yes I am in the plane now I will reach New York in seven hours and you can have your jet in like 12 hours so if you are ready to stay there for another day you can or else you can come with my best friend your choice. Anyways I gotta go love you bye." "Love you too bye," I said and smiled. I swear he is a girl, he is just in the body of a guy. I can't wait for twelve more hours, I have to go back to my office and See whether everything is right or not.

I turned around to see Xavier only in a towel which hung on his lower waist, showing show off his v line with the toned eight abs, I stared at it for secs and then moved my gaze away. He didn't see me checking his abs out, the same abs through which I had run my tongue. Gosh, I sound so horny. 

Aubrey, you are not the only one who did that not him, thousands of women have been there and done that. I cringed at the harsh reality.

He was busy drying his hair with a towel, looking like a total sex god while doing that.

What is it about him that makes me forget all the awful things that he does to me? I shamelessly wanted to kiss him though after he had just insulted me. Why do I crave for his touch so badly? I can't fall for him again, he broke me in so many ways and he is still doing the same. He is the reason why I don't trust people so easily, the reason why I am afraid to fall in love with anyone.

I kept my phone on the table and went towards the bathroom pushing away all the thoughts. I looked at him but he was looking elsewhere as if he was avoiding my gaze, frankly speaking, I was relieved that he didn't look at me or else I would have melted in those icicle grey eyes.

I went inside the bathroom and took a quick shower and by quick  I mean a thirty minutes shower,  and changed into the same clothes as yesterday.

I went outside to meet with an empty room. "Xavier?"I said but I didn't hear any response, his shoes were gone, and even his coat.

I searched the whole room and I didn't see him.  DID HE JUST FUCKING LEAVE ME?

"Xavier?" Still no response.

I got my phone and called. He picked it up at fifth ring, "What do you want?" "Where are you?" "None of your business." "Are you still in LA?" "No."

"Excuse me? So what you are just going to leave me here?"

" Yes," He said is a clearly pissed tone and hung up. Is he fucking serious? Fuck you to Xavier.

I quickly called Maddie. "Hey!!" "Hey, I need your jet," I asked pushing my hair behind which were falling on my face. "Why?" "Long story short he left me here alone."

"WHAT!!"She screamed in my ears.

"Madeline I have an important meeting today so I have to reach in New York at 2 p.m. How long will it take for the jet to get here?" "Thirty minutes top, Leo left 6 hours ago for shooting." "Okay tell him I will be there at the airport." "Okay take care and meet me after you are done with your work." She said in a bossy way.  "Yes Ma'am bye."

I said and ended the call. I quickly put my hair into a ponytail and took my things and went down.

I was about to go out when someone said, "Mrs De Angelis." Wait what the heck. I don't want to turn around. "Miss Aubrey De Angelis" Well she at least said my name, I turned around to see a receptionist calling my name.

"Yes Jenna, "I said smiling at her, looking at her name tag. "Mr De Angelis told me to tell you that he had a very important meeting that's why he left, he didn't want to disturb you will you were showering, and he told me to not to leave you unless you have breakfast."She said with pink shade forming on her cheeks, wait why is she blushing again? Because your fiance must have used his charms on her?

"Thank you, Jenna, I really appreciate you telling me, but even I have my meetings and I running late, I will have my breakfast on my way, don't worry I will tell my fiance," I said in the nicest way possible, though I was fuming from inside. Is that asshole for real? He told the receptionist that and he couldn't personally tell me?

"Can you do me a favour, Jenna?" "Yes, Mrs De Angelis." I so badly want to correct her but I decided against it. "Can you arrange a car, I want to go to the airport as fast as possible."

"Mr De Angelis has already arranged at ma'am, you will find a black limo ready for you outside." She said smiling. Of course, he did.

"Thank you," I smiled and went outside.

I reached the airport and saw Leo standing there with his suitcase with his shades on. He smiled at me. I got out of the limo and gave him a side hug.

"You didn't bring Maddie with you?" "Nope, she said that she is working on your wedding dress." He said wiggling his eyebrows.

I groaned, "Don't remind me. That asshole of my fiance left me here without telling me that he is leaving. And you know what he did? He told the fucking receptionist, to tell me that I should have my breakfast and he told her not me that he had a meeting," I huffed.

He just chuckled and said, " He had a meeting yesterday in Italy, that to an important one but he rescheduled it today, and that guy forgot that that's why he left without telling you anything."

"Yeah, whatever. Whose side are you on Leonardo? " I said narrowing my eyes at him.

"I am not on anyone's side." He said raising his hands in surrender. He looked at his watch and said, " Anyways, I have to go, I will see you in one week, and take care of my girlfriend, she said that she has some clothes inside the jet if you want to change." "Yes I want to. Thank you. Bye," I said as he gave me a quick hug and left. I sighed and went inside the jet.

After six and a half hours I finally set foot inside my building. I was relieved as I saw very thing normal inside, even the paparazzi weren't there.

I walked inside the office and everyone stopped working and looked at me. I folded my hands and said, "What are you looking at? Continue with your work." I said coldly and loudly. "Williams!!!" I said loudly, but he didn't come out instead, a girl same age a Williams, 23 I guess came out. She came and stood in front of and bowed a little. "Do I know you?" I snapped at her. "Ma'am I am your new PA." She said in a small voice. "I am sorry what? "I asked in an irritated tone.

I felt everyone's eyes on us. "I don't pay each and every one of you to watch drama, mind your own fucking business," I said without even looking at my employees.

"You follow me to my room," I said and stormed towards my lift, calling Willaims, but it was of no use as his phone was switched off. I should have thrown her out, her face looked very bitchy, and she wore very non-professional clothes well at least she didn't cake her makeup like the other female employees.

I reached my room and went on sat on my chair when the door opened revealing the same girl.

"Okay now give me one good reason why I should believe you and not throw you out."

"Ma'am Mr De Angelis appointed me." THAT BASTARD. "Excuse me, This is Clinton Empire and not The De Angelis Company, so you may leave the office," I said as calmly as possible but it didn't seem like it as she was looking at the floor.

"But Ma'am I was told that there was a job available here, as the PA."She said in a curious whisper.

I sighed and called Xavier.

"Yes?" I heard his pissed off voice. "WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM WHY DID YOU HIRE A PA FOR ME? IF YOU DONT KNOW THEN I ALREADY HAVE A PA. WHY CANT YOU  MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS AND STOP-" "Are you done?" How dare he interrupt me?

"Yes, I knew you already had a guy PA which wasn't qualified enough that's why I fired him."

"EXCUSE ME?!!!!" "I have more important things to do. Bye." "Xavier-" And he ended the call. What am I suppose to do now?

"Ma'am so is the job available? If it is not then I will go I don't want to waste your time." The girl asked in a whispered voice, with her head hanging down. Wait why is she still staring at the ground?

I don't know maybe because someone was yelling at someone on the phone every loudly.

Okay, now I feel really bad for her. If there was any other person they would have already left.

" I apologise if I scared you or anything, Miss?"

"Hailee." She said in a hushed voice. Okay, I shouldn't have judged her, she doesn't act like a bitch.

"Why don't you take a seat and show me your resume?" I said and as she took slow steps towards my desk and sat on the chair which was in front of me. She handed me her file.

Okay her name is Hailee Smith. She is 24 blah blah blah. She has got a degree in accounting two years ago from Columbia university, with no job experiences. Why did she wait for two years?

I closed the file and looked at her, "Maybe I know why you didn't work for any company though you had a degree?" "She looked down at her feet and said, "Personal reasons, Ma'am."

"And-"I was about to speak when the door was slammed open revealing an Adrian. I rolled my eyes, he looked like he just got down from the plane and yet this idiot came here.

"Sunshine!!" He said in a cheerful mood. "Adrian," I said in a boring mood.

"Why are so grumpy aren't you happy to see me?"He said in a fake hurt tone. He said as he came near the desk and then he saw Hailee who was looking at the floor, again she saw Adrian and looked at the ground again. When she saw Adrian, it seemed like she already knew him.

"Chi e lei?" "Xavier fired my PA and you know why? Because he thinks that he is not qualified for being my PA." 
(Who is she)

He chuckled and said, " More like because he was younger than you and he was a guy. E fammi indovinare che ha mandato lei al posto di lui? " (Let me guess he send her instead of him?)

"Si" I replied. He looked at her again. "Maybe I know your name, Miss? "He said looking at her as palm.

(Yes)

"H..Hailee" She said without breaking her eye contact with the floor. Leaving Adrian's palm hanging in the air. I wanted to laugh so hard right now, but I just smirked at him. He withdrew his hand with a scowl. Is Mr Martini hurt that a girl rejected his hand. 

"Ma'am if the job is not available I will leave sorry for wasting your time." She said as she got up, making her handkerchief fall, and she left the room in hurry, without even glancing back, leaving me and Adrian curious as we watch her leave.

I got up and smacked Adrian's head causing him to look at me.

"Ouch, what was that for?" "Don't tell me she is one of your one night stands." "What no I would have never missed a beautiful girl like her." "She was absolutely fine until you came." "Hey don't blame it on me, girls find it hard to resist my charms."

I scoffed and said, "Hard to resist your charms? She was about to cry when she saw you. She had a very impressive resume I was going to temporarily appoint her as my PA because Williams hasn't said any word to me since yesterday morning and he isn't even picking up my calls. What did you do Adrian?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I don't know!! I came here travelling all the away from Hawaii I am tired I am going home." He said and he picked up the handkerchief and kept it in his pocket. "Why did you come here in the first place?"
"I missed my little sister." He said. I rolled my eyes, "You saw me just the day before yesterday? And what were you doing in Hawaii?" I said with my eyebrows raised.

"The same you know, beating up random guys." I smacked his arms. "I met with a publisher. Jeez, woman, I am going." He said as he left the room.

I sighed as I sat on the chair. I glanced at the clock and saw that I had a meeting in fifteen minutes.

Let's get back to Work Aubrey.
