"Aubrey will tell me what happened clearly?" Adrain said as he walked in.

"He came to my office and he told me to marry him. I told that Iamdatingyou."

"YOU WHAT?"

"Adrian, he asked me to marry him. Do expect me to really marry him? And forget what he did to me? He used me as a toy Adrian. I had to come up with an excuse so I told him that I am dating you. You know how possessive he is and how angry he was when I am told that I fucked you as soon as we broke up. Remember? And how would you react when he gets to know that I dated Leo for a month though it was fake?"

"I know that sis. He beat the hell out of me. Now he is definitely gonna kill me. But if he finds out that you dated Leo just to make Maddie jealous you both are dead. But That's not the point. So what do you want me to do?"

"He didn't give me much of a choice. He told me to marry him or else he will make sure that no one will invest in my company if I don't agree to marry him. God, I hate him so much."

" Then Marry him." He said without hesitating.

" ARE YOU OUT YOUR FUCKING MIND?!"

"Listen to me, Aubrey. Marry him. You know that he will get whatever he wants and he won't stop until he gets it, not caring how far he goes. Think about all the people that are working in your Company. I saw in the lobby that half of the employees are leaving their jobs. It will only benefit you. Just imagine, Xavier's company is no doubt the richest in the states, And if you merge your Company with his, it will be a win-win for you." I gave him an are-serious-right-now look.

" Then why does he wants me to marry him, I can be business partners with him."

" You know how he is, he changes the girls every second. Leo said that many businessmen who respect women don't trust him."

"Do you even hear yourself Adrian? Are out of your mind? You just told me what bastard of a player he is and you want me to marry him?" I scoffed.

"Aubrey you know I love you and you are like my little sister I never had. But Xavier is also my brother and I know him since childhood. You know I want the best for you. You haven't moved on. So what's the problem? I know you hate him and you all the rights to be mad at him because he has cheated on you, but we were humans and we make mistakes sis. Trust me when I found out that he cheated on my Lil sister I wanted to kill him with my own bare hands, but he was isn't in the right state when he kissed that girl and you know that too."

"Adrian I know he was drunk but he wasn't that drunk to recognise me. It is not about only that night. He fucked another girl the very next day " I tried my best not to shed tears for that ass but I couldn't hold them back anymore.

"Sunshine you do-"

"He said that he wasn't in the right state at that time? Then why did he fuck the whole New York and every single model?"

" Because he really believed that we had sex, immediately after you both broke up. He was as heartbroken as you were sunshine. I admit that he shouldn't have fucked anyone but believe me or not it is his way of getting over things. He was the same in high school. He fucked every single girl in our school when he heard that his mother died." I gasped when he said that.

I knew he was a player before but I didn't know that he like that because he was broken. I remember that he used to go to his mother's grave every year on her birthday. He was going to take me there after graduation.  He used to get nightmares because of the way his mother died.

"But he changed when you were around. You were the sunshine in his darkness. He is miserable out there though you changed him."

"But Adr-"

"No buts sunshine. See you left him without giving him a proper explanation. You know he fucked the whole town hoping that he would forget you but he couldn't Aubrey. You are like a drug that he is addicted to. He can't get you out of his head. He l-"

" enough Adrian. I get it. You think that he still likes me. But let me stop you right there. When I met him he was a player and even now he is a player. You think that fucked the whole town to forget me. " I laughed at him. " He fucked the whole town because he wanted to. He dated me because he didn't get me easily like he got all those bimbos. He just wanted to get in my pants. "

" Sunshine. Trust me he is broken without you. He needs you. You changed him so much when he was with you. He used to smoke and drink a lot before he met you and you also know that he smokes when he is angry and shit. When I asked him why he doesn't smoke he said that because you don't like it when people smoke or drink. When you left him he used to come drunk every single night at Leo's for 2 months. Not missing a single night." I was shocked when I heard that but I quickly covered my face with a blank expression holding my tears back.

"Adrian I know he is your best friend you still care for him and I am the reason why you both don't talk and trust me I hate myself for doing that. But I am not gonna marry him. Do you think that only he is the one miserable? What about me huh? Do you have any idea how I felt when I saw him kissing other girls right in front of me? He knew that I was there and he still did that on purpose " His eyes quickly softened. I tried very hard to not to break down in front of Adrian again but in vain.

"He ruined me, Adrian. My nightmares are back because no one is there beside me to hold me as he did. I use to cry every single time when I wake up panting and all sweaty. I couldn't sleep for days. That's why I asked dad to let me handle his company to keep me busy. I tried to go to a different therapist but they didn't work. The only thing that can stop my nightmares is he holding me. But that can never happen. I get a nightmare because of him. And you want me to marry him?"

He came to me and hugged me.

" I am so sorry Sunshine I didn't know any of this. Why didn't you tell me all this?"

" You were in London for 2 months promoting your book," I whispered. I pulled away as I didn't want to soak his shirt with my tears.

"But Aubrey what are you gonna do now? I can ask Leo to talk with him."

" It is useless talking to his stubborn ass, Adrian. He is not gonna listen to anyone. I have no choice but to marry him. You know everyone is scared of him in the business world and if tells everyone not to invest or be my partner they would rather die than to go against the Xavier. He became cold towards everyone and I know I am the reason why his eyes are always stormy grey and not ocean blue like that they should be. I get it that he is heartbroken. But it is all his fault that he believed some bitch over me. I trusted him. why can't he trust me? And he thought I cheated on him with you. I mean If I did cheat on anyone which I won't do in my whole life, why would I do it with someone who is his best friend and you are big brother. He doesn't trust both of us. Trust is the most important thing for me and you know that I don't trust people that easily but I still trusted him cant he does that too?"

" Sunshine I know that you are mad at him but please give him a chance I know that you still like him and you care about him."

"No, I don't" I quickly said.

"Yes you do that day when you were drunk you couldn't stop talking about how hot he is."

" I don't like him, Adrian, I am just attracted towards him nothing else and I don't care about him."

"Yeah keep telling yourself that."

I glared at him and he lifted his hands up as if surrendering himself. I chuckled at his childishness.

" Why don't you just marry for the sake of your company? And then when everything is settled you can divorce him, I mean isn't that the only reason why he wants to marry you in the first place? For the public and  I mean you don't care about his feelings right?" Okay ouch.

"Yeah, I mean.."

"Then marry him." I sighed I mean it's not like he is asking me to stay with him or something like that.

"How about you set some rules in that contract that he must follow during your marriage?" I rolled my eyes and said " Adrian he is The Xavier De Angelis. Do you think that he follows rules? scratch  that do you think that he listens to anyone?"

"He used to listen to you then why not now?" He said smirking. I gave him a glare.

I sighed and sat on the couch, deep inside my thoughts. After 10 minutes I remembered that it's the first week of August.

"Adrian, what are you doing here?" I said as I got up from the couch.

"Oh god," He said placing his one hand on his waist and one touching his forehead. "What do you mean Oh god" "Don't tell you don't remember what happened right now."

I hit his elbow and said " Luckily I remember every single thing. I am saying that you had to meet with the big publisher in Los Angeles right this week?"

"Yes?" "Then what the heck are you doing here? Go!!" He just rolled his eyes.

"Sunshine I can reschedule it."

"No you had planned it way back Adrian you have to go now," I said as I started to push him towards the door, but he didn't even budge. Ughh, guys with muscles.

"Okay fine I am going, for now, I am coming back in the evening till that time you think about what you are going to do." He said and gave me a long hug and went.

I sighed as I sat on my chair, the same chair on which that asshole had sat. '

I told Williams to send everyone home after a few hours and told him to track that Bastard Dominic. I told the employees that my company will be back but the question how?

I have no choice but to marry The Devil himself.
