The next day, Aubrey found herself woken by a loud ring of her phone. She groaned as she picked up her phone from the side table as she answered it.

"What the fuck do you want?" Aubrey whispered-yelled as she held her throbbing head in her hands. She glanced at the clock to see that it was only 7:30 in the morning.

"Ma'am?" She heard the familiar voice and her eyes widened as she abruptly sat up ignoring her strong headache. 

"Jane? Is everything okay?" Aubrey said in a whisper, trying not to wake up her husband. The woman said something to Aubrey as she rubbed her temples with her ring finger.

"Is it so?"She whispered. "Yes, Aubrey. You need to come here as soon as possible." Aubrey noticed that Xavier stirred a little as the woman continued her rambling.

"I will be there in five hours." She said as she hung up. Aubrey covered her naked self with the blanket as she picked a random business outfit from her suitcase and quickly wore it.

She then slowly packed all her things in her suitcase as she kept an eye on the sleeping figure of Xavier, making sure that he doesn't wake up.

She gently picked up her suitcase as she glanced at Xavier one last time before leaving. All the events from last night came flashing back to her mind.

She knew that they were going to do it, she was sober enough to know what they were doing. As much as she hated to admit it, she wanted to do it with him. Her body craved his touch and longed for it.

Alcohol was just an excuse to do it. She knew that if Xavier ever confronted her about why she had sex with him two times she wouldn't admit the fact because she wanted, she would just blame the alcohol.

Aubrey sighed as she slowly rolled her suitcase to the entrance as she called Xavier's pilot who was none other than her high school best friend, well now ex-best friend, Blake Hossler.

"Hey, Blake! Where are you?"  Aubrey said "I am in Athens," "Thank god! I am in Santorini can you pick me up? I need to go to Istanbul, one of my clients called an urgent meeting and I can't call my pilot from New York, and I really need to go there as soon as possible." She said.

"Yeah, of course, I would be there in twenty," He said. "Thank you so much, Blake," She said as she ended the call.

Aubrey made her way towards the reception as she spotted the manager.

"Everything okay Mrs DeAngelis," He said as he eyed the suitcase behind Aubrey.

"Yes, I actually have an urgent meeting in... Melbourne so I have to leave right now. Would you tell Xavier about it? He is sleeping and I didn't want to wake him up," She said with a fake smile.

"Yes Of course ma'am, do you need me to book the flight,"

" Xavier's pilot is on his way here, he would be here in fifteen minutes," "Okay Mrs DeAngelis, if you need anything let me know," The manager said.  "Thank you, Mark," Aubrey said as she read the name late of the manager. He nodded as he left.

Aubrey sighed as she sat on one of the couches. She finally unlocked her phone to see Adrian's texts.

AUBREYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DID YOU SEE THE TABLOIDS???!!!!! 

The next text was in form of pictures of several magazines that had the covers of Adrain carrying Hailee, her assistant his arms, and they both were wearing the same dress from Aubrey's wedding, the headlines were as fake as usual.

Aubrey got up from the couch and went towards to get some fresh air and enjoy the sunrise as she called Adrian.

"Now you decide to call me?" She heard the sleepy voice of Adrian as he groaned. It was around 1 am in the New York.

"What did you do Adrain?" "What are you talking about?" "I saw your texts and the cover of the magazines."

"Oh thattttt," He said dragging the t. "Did you sleep with her?" "No. She is not ready to even talk to me. She just avoids me like I am plague. ME. Have you seen this handsome face? At your wedding, I was dancing with her. She drank too much champagne and got drunk. I brought her to my house because I didn't know where she lived. Speaking of your wedding, you didn't tell me that you guys were going on a honeymoon," Aubrey rolled her eyes as she knew that Adrian must be wiggling his eyebrows with a smirk plastered on his face.

"We are here for a business trip and didn't you guys go to search for an apartment for her?" " I did go but I forgot where she lived,"

"Adrian, I don't want her to leave the job because of you," "Hey!" "Did you see her after that day," "Welllllllll, I met her at your office, some of your female employees whom I bedded-,"

"ADRAIN MARTINI ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!!" "What, you have like 500 female employees, some of them are hot, not my fault, that's not the point Sunshine when I reached her room, they were towering her and they threw their coffee on her and she was let them do that while tears were rolling down her cheeks," "WHAT??!" "Yeah, I gave them my peace of mind. I fired them and told them to get lost, I consoled Hailee but then she told me to stay away from her," He said and huffed.

"Adrain, she is not used to all this, give her time and space, and for the love of God, don't be near her if there are paparazzi around,"

"Yeah I will try but why does she hate my guts? what did I ever do to her?"

"Adrain, not all girls love you," "I am not talking about that sunshine, her whole expression changes whenever I am around. When she was drunk she kept on saying that how much she hates me and something about Lily," Shit, I hope she didn't tell him about Lily, Aubrey thought.

"Lily?" She said faking a curious voice. "Yeah, I couldn't quite make out what she was saying, I could only understand 'Lily' and 'father'," "Oh."  Do you know who Lily is?"He asked her. "Uhmmm, yes she is her niece, she looks after her niece she must be worried about her not having a father that must be the reason why she said that," She said quickly.

"But-" "Adrian I really have to go to Melbourne as soon as possible-" "Wait you can't just leave your honeymoon," "It's not my honeymoon Adrian it's a fucking business trip, we made 5 billion euros deal. The deal which I am going to make in Melbourne is a half-billion dollars deal so I have to go. I will call you later. Bye," She ended the call immediately as she knew that he would know if she lied to him.

"Bre!" Aubrey heard the familiar voice of Blake as she turned to her right.

"You are here early, thank you so much for coming," She said as she gave him a friendly side hug.

"It's okay Bre, I actually wanted to say sorry to you for leaving and not keeping in touch with you after high school, please forgive me," He said as he looked at the ground. "Hey, It's okay, you were going through a lot and I understand that the place where you lived wasn't helping you to move on," Aubrey said as she placed her hand on his shoulder and smiled. He had lost his only sister and mother in the last year of high school.

"Thank you and if you want me to forgive you then take me to Istanbul as fast as possible and if anyone asked you where I went, then I went to Melbourne," He furrowed his eyebrows as he heard her strange request.

"Just promise me you won't tell anyone I went to Istanbul," Aubrey almost begged her long lost best friend. Seeing her like this Blake knew that there must be something important she was hiding if she didn't want anyone to know. He wanted to protest but her expressions were hard to resist so he gave in.

Meanwhile, Xavier opened his eyes to see Aubrey nowhere in sight.

Last night's events come flashing back to his mind.

Great, this is the second time we had drunk sex and like always she is not there.

Xavier's mind went to the days back when they were together.

How they would cuddle when they had made love to each other, how she would always be there the next morning, his arms.

But now that just felt like a fantasy.
