Aubrey's POV

"Mr Wilder," I said and smiled. I looked at Xavier and gave him my fakest smile.

"I was parking my car here when I saw his car and I called him to join me for breakfast. I am sure you have no problem right?" Obviously, I have a problem.

"I am glad that you brought him here. I told him to eat his breakfast and he said that he will have on his way." Wow, I can lie straight through my teeth now. I have to thank Xav- Xavier for that.

"Don't complain about me Andrea even you didn't have your breakfast." I hate whatever the hell is going on. I just smiled again and looked at him. I don't know okay what do to?

After five minutes of us staring at us other, I heard a throat clearing.

You are on a business meeting/ breakfast here Aubrey and not to stare at his ugly face.

Do you mean his handsome face?

Shut up brain.

Wait am I still standing? It would be weird if I sat beside Mr Wilder and not Xavier. Instead of debating for five minutes and coming on the same conclusion, I sat beside Xavier.

The cafe was just like the normal café, I was a little surprised that Xavier sat here. He doesn't like small cafes, and he calls me a spoilt brat. Arrogant ass.

We were sitting in a booth which was in the corner of the café. No one could see that three famous multi-billionaire were sitting here.
"You know I was a little shooked when I heard the first news, I knew it was false." I wish it was fake. I am still finding that ass, Dominic. How dare he double-cross me?  "But then when I saw you guys announcing your engagement, I was very happy. I knew only Xavier could do such a thing. Where is Dominic? I didn't see him anywhere after the news."

I was going to answer him when Xavier said first, " He decided to take some time off, he wanted to spend some time with his family and he didn't want the media to be involved. He told his colleges under me and Andrea for a while."

You should learn something from him, Mr Wider, at least he takes out time for his family." Mrs Wider said as she brought one strawberry waffles and two pancakes. Please tell me waffles are for me.

"Aubrey!! Long time no see!!"

"How are Mrs Wilder?" I said as I smiled. "I am great!! Here your strawberry waffles, Mr DeAngelis told me that they are your favourite." I looked at Xavier and he was just smirking.

"Yes, they are. Thank you so much, Mrs Wilder." I said. She places the breakfast and left.

We talked about business still our breakfast was done. Why is he still here again?

"Xavier if you have any important meetings you can go then," I said looking at him. He knows that I want him out of my sight right now.

"Its okay Amore, you guys can continue, I will work here itself. I don't have any meetings today." He said and smirked. I looked at him and glared at him.

That idiot had brought his laptop with him. He opened it and started typing something.

"It's okay Aubrey. I don't mind him sitting here." I gave him a grateful smile and started showing him the final layout of the hotel.

After a few minutes, I felt a hand on my thighs. I didn't do anything for a minute but then he slowly started to move his hands up. I can't even move his hand away.

"And uhhmm Yeah we have uhhmm-" He.did.not.just.rub.his.fingers.there. He traced his fingers along with the pattern of my lacey panties. I so regret wearing those.

"Actually I have another picture of this area, the designer had sent me on the phone, do you want to have a look through it?"

"Yeah sure." I acted as if I was searching my clutch for the phone and I quickly removed his hand from my thigh and I crossed my legs.  He seemed unfazed.

After forty-five minutes our discussion was over.

"Thank you so much, Aubrey, I see that you have done a very good job. I loved the designs and everything. I am hoping that everything will be done before your marriage."

"You are welcome, Mr Wilder. Yes, everything will be done two weeks before our marriage. Only one change that too with the placement of the decor in the rooms is to be made right?" I wanted to puke on the word 'our'.

"Yes." I looked at my watch and saw it was just 10'o clock.

"I will have to run now, I have another meeting to attend. I will take your leave." I said as I closed my laptop and up from my place and Xavier did the same.

Mr Wilder's phone rang and he excused himself.

I started walking when my wrist was grabbed and I was spun around.

"Where you do you think you are going, Andrea?"

"I have more important things to do Mr DeAngelis than talking to you. If you want anything then you will have to check my schedule for today."

"But don't worry..." I said and placed my hand on his chest and looked at him intensely. "I am not at all free to talk to you," I said and pushed him away from me. He grabbed my wrist again harshly making me fall onto him.

"You think you are funny? Two can play games Andrea and you won't like it my way."

"Let go of me." I gritted through my teeth.  " I am not dying to hold your hand, Andrea." He said and harshly let go of it. I glared at him. What the heck is his problem. Why is he becoming delusional? Again?

I glared at him one last time and went outside. I looked at Mr Wilder and he smiled and nodded.

I sat inside my car. I was going to reverse my car when Xavier purposely reversed his car first and then left making a noise loud enough for the whole world to hear.  Arrogant Ass.

After a few minutes, I entered my office and saw Adrain furiously writing something. He didn't look up when I came in. I cleared my throat but he didn't even acknowledge my presence.

Oh, he is in his Writer Zen Mode. The great Adrain Martini, aka the anonymous A.M., the famous writer and the best seller of New York and the whole world, when is writing something, you should never disturb him. Mostly because he writes only when his brain works, which is hardly once a month. But when it does work, then it does wonders.

I decided to leave him only and I went inside the conference room and saw everyone present. I smirked. They knew that if anyone was late then their ass would be fired and they wouldn't get any job in the US.

The meeting got over at the lunchtime. Luckily no one was fired and I didn't have overuse of voice box.

I left the conference room and straight to my office. I quietly opened the door to find Adrain sleeping on my table and sheets were scattered all over the place, half of the papers were rolled up into balls and half of them were torn into two.

I sighed as I picked up all the papers. I can't make the maids do to as Adrain will kill me if any of those paper go anywhere.

"Thank you for cleaning up my mess." I turned around to see a smirking Adrain. "You were awake the whole time?" "Yes," "I hate you." "Love you too little sis." I ignored him as I called the receptionist.  "I want you to send me my assistant, Hailee's address in two," I said as I turned around ready to leave.

"Hey!! Where are you going? Don't leave me alone!!" He whined like a child. "I am going to my assistant's house. I gave her a holiday for two days and I want  some documents, but I don't want to disturb her and call her here just for those documents."

"Wait a minute. Your hot pa Hailee? And you finally gave someone a holiday!!? And that too for two days??!"

"Yes, I did Adrain, what shocker?" I said and rolled my eyes.

"By the way, you forgot to book your appointment with the eye specialist."I gave him a bored looked. I know what's coming.

"Your eyes must be tired of all those rolling." "Adrain, saying the same joke a thousand times doesn't make it funny,"  I said as I stepped out of the office and put on my cold bitchy face again.

I heard footsteps behind me. "I am coming with you." "Do I have a choice?" "Nope," He said and smirked. I rolled my eyes again and stepped out of the lift.

By the time I reached my car, I had already gotten the address. Okay, this is very far from here. Why does she live at this side of New York?

"It's her niece's birthday so I am going to make a quick stop at Tiffany's. By the time I get the pendant from there, you bring chocolates for her. Okay?"

"Okay."

After fifteen minutes we were back in the car with a grinning Adrain.

"Why are you so happy?" "I brought my favourite chocolate!!"He said as he squeaked like a five-year child.  "Obviously you did. But they aren't for you." I said as I snatched the bag of chocolates. "Hey!! I have brought one separate packet fo myself and two extra fro her niece. I am pretty sure that even her niece would like them."He said with pride as if he had invented that chocolate. He would do the branding of those chocolates for free.

He snatched the bag from me again and removed his chocolate and started eating it.

We finally reached her apartment after thirty minutes. The building had only five storeys, and it was clear that it was an old building.

"She lives here? You don't you pay her or what?" "Shut up Adrain. I will be back." He was going to say something when I cut him off- " No you are not coming with me. You scare her away every time." "Hey, that's so not true!!" "Whatever helps you sleep at night," I said as I got out of the car and closed the door before he could reply anything.

This building doesn't have a lift and she lives on the fourth floor. Awesome. I climbed up the stairs and knocked on the door which had '01' on the door. Within a minute the door was opened by Hailee with a little girl attached to her hip. I looked at her and her eyes widened.

"Hi," I said awkwardly. "Ma'am?"She said, the colourless on her face still gone.

" The documents of the arrangement of the décor. I didn't want to disturb you and your niece?"

"Mamma." The little girl on Hailee's hip said. Wait, mamma? Didn't Hailee say that it was her niece's birthday?

"Hey! What's your name beautiful?" I said as I stared at her small figure. She had black hair like Hailee and green eyes which looked quite familiar. She looked like she was two or three years old.

"Lily." She said in a low voice and hide her face in Hailee's neck.

"Do you mind if I hold her?" I asked her. She wasn't so sure about it but then she gave lily to me.

I extended my arms, she looked at Hailee and when Hailee nodded she gave in my arms.

"I am sorry. Please come in ma'am." I nodded and came in. The apartment was very small for my liking, but it was cosy and comfortable. I sat on the couch with Lily still in my arms. I placed are on my lap, making her face me.

"Is Hailee your mamma?" I asked and she nodded her head vigorously. Well shit.

"Where is your dada?" "Dadda?" She said and made a curious face as if she was new to this word. Double Shit.

"Is it your birthday?" "She nodded.

"Happy birthday Baby girl," I said and she grinned. I remembered that I had brought her a necklace and chocolate.

"Do you want a gift?" I said and she eyes sparkled as she nodded vigorously.

"Okay close your eye," I said and she adorably closed her eyes tightly. I removed the gift from my sling bag and the chocolates along with it. " Now put your hands in front." She quickly extended her tiny arms. I placed the box on her small palms. "Okay now open your eyes." She quickly opened her eyes and stared at the box and then opened it.

"It is  prwetty thwank yow." "You are welcome, baby girl," I said and smiled.

"Ma'am here are the documents," She said as she walked in going through the file. She looked at us and smiled and but then she saw that I was looking at her, her smile faded.

"Why don't you keep your chocolates in the kitchen by that time I will have a talk with your mamma?" She nodded as she got done from my lap and ran towards the kitchen.

"Ma'am-"

"Is she really your daughter?" I said in an angry tone. In response, she was just looking down.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I said in a soft tone. She looked at me in surprise.

"I..I"

"Do you leave her alone when you work?"

"No ma'am she has a babysitter."

"So you just spend time with her only at the nights?" She nodded without raising her head.

"I know this is not my place to judge you, that's why I am not going to ask you who the father is. But at least think about your daughter?!! She doesn't know what a dad is and she hardly gets to spend time with her mom.Do you know that she is going to remember the childhood like this? and  Since " I said angrily. I don't want even her childhood to go like-

"I am sorry ma'am." I closed my eyes to calm myself down.

"You don't have to be sorry. I have no right to judge you. But you are my assistant and I don't want you to live here in this place with your daughter. Secondly, I am going to send someone to show you apartments which are near the office and don't worry I will pay for the apartment. And from the day you are back to work, you will leave at 7 and not at 10:30 p.m."

"No ma'am you don-" "Does it look like I am giving you a choice Hailee?" I said cutting her off. She looked at the floor again.

"Mommy look the prwetty lady brought my favourite chocolates," Lily said as she came running towards Hailee. Hailee picked her up again.

I looked at the chocolate which was in her hand and saw that it was the same chocolate which Adrian was blabbering about.

" Did you thank her Lils?" Hailee asked and Lily nodded her head quickly. I smiled at their mother and daughter moment, looking at them brings back so many memories.

"I don't want to ruin your day, so I will take your leave. If you don't mind then can you do me a last favour?" "yes, ma'am I have no problem." "Book me a flight to Sydney, I want to go there tomorrow. You know right what you have to do?"

"Yes ma'am, no one will know that you are going to Sydney and if anyone asks then you are going to?" "Dubai, working on a new project, and I won't be available till the weekends," I said.

"It will be done, ma'am." "Okay good, and I am serious about tomorrow, I will send someone to pick you up tomorrow. I will leave now. Bye baby girl." I said as I kissed lily's checks and went downstairs.

Okay, wow, so my personal assistant has a daughter and I didn't know. I opened the car door to see Adrain still eating the same chocolate as Lily.  He looked at me with his big green eyes. Wait why do they seem so familiar now?
