Section-2
Yes, I had slept before, but then I woke up at around 3:00 AM. I was worried! Yes, I was worried and was sweating.
Okay, I guess I forgot to tell you about this.
Remember, I told you that a man was talking to my dad when we reached here? Yes, that man. He handed me a booklet when I was about to enter the room. It said 'Hailstone Vale's Book of Rules'. And guess what, I seriously forgot to go through it!
I got off my bed and turned on the lights. Catherine was still asleep. I guess the lights didn't bother her much.
I took the rule booklet and hopped on my bed. I placed the book against the side bars of the bed, which acted like a stand.
This is what the rule book said:
Dear Students,
I'm your very own Mr. Jordan, the Vice Principal of The Hailstone Vale.
Keeping in mind the discipline of our boarding school, The Hailstone Vale Committee (THVC) has come up with a few rules.
I request each and every student to follow all the rules without fail. Disobedience may lead to strict actions against the student who violates the rule.
Here's the list of the rules we'd like the students to follow:
~ No student of The Hailstone Vale is allowed to sneak out of their rooms at night and hence, out of the premises without a prior written permission. Well, if you have a prior permission, you don't have to sneak out anyways. Sneaking out is very unsafe and irresponsible.
~ No boy is allowed to stay in a girl's room after 8:00 PM and no girl is allowed to stay in a boy's room after 8:00. It's not good!
~ Every student is expected to respect every teacher of Hailstone Vale and every student is supposed to pay utmost attention during the lectures, so that the students don't have to stay up late at night cramming the topics.
~ No student is allowed to turn on any kind of music systems after 9 PM.
~ All students are supposed to attend each and every class. Skipping classes would lead to missing the topics and hence loss in studies.
~ Whenever we conduct any activity, the students will be informed two hours prior to the timings of the activity through a small PA system adjusted in your rooms at a corner.
~ Students can contact their parents only on Sundays through the Telecom available after every four rooms.
~ Mobile phones are allowed only by special permission. Anyone found with a cell phone without a permission, will have to face serious consequences.
* If any student wants to clarify anything regarding the rules, can contact the undersigned.
~yours truly,
Mr. Jordan, Room No. 2A
Contact: 1050 (only for Telecoms)

I completed reading the booklet and looked around to check if there was a PA system. Yes, it was on the top right corner of the wall containing window.
That's when I realised that "Oh! We have a PA system, too!"
I kept the rule book back inside the drawer and turned off the lights.
I'm a good sleeper so it just took me few minutes to go back to sleep.

Author's Note:
Well, I won't say it was a chapter because it was pretty small. So I named it as Section-2. Yeahhh!
Anyways, what do you think of the rules? Is May going to abide by the rules? Leave your comments here :)
Peace ✌️
