“okay class, today i have a special announcement for you all.”

it was just another, basic morning in this high school, where q student called jung hoseok had studied for the past two years.

and those two years had been a hell to go through, honestly. no matter how he had tried, no-one wanted to talk to him or be with him. and that was only because of the fact that he stutters while talking.

yes, it's a dumb reason not to be friends with someone, but as soon as hoseok had entered this high school, the school's most popular yet also most evil persons had made sure everyone would know about hoseok's problem.

and so, in this messed up society we live in, no-one wanted to be even near hoseok after hearing all the rumors about him.

but right now, hoseok was sitting in one of  the many classrooms those were in the school building. what he thought was going to be another boring, lonely math class, didn't end up being one after the teacher's announcement.

“a new student has transferred into this high school, and i would like to introduce him to you all” the male teacher spoke with a clear voice, making everyone stop whatever they were doing so they could see this new student.

“come in” the teacher smiled sweetly towards the door, that was now being opened by a pale, ravenette boy.

the boy wasn't that tall, but you couldn't call him short either. his pitch-black hair was a bit messy, and he really did look pale. not that sick kind of pale, gladly.

he was wearing the school uniform kind of ’lazily’, his shirt was full of wrinkles and his tie wasn't tied up correctly. if you looked closely, you could notice the chain-like earrings he had.

“hello, i'm min yoongi. i moved here from daegu. nice to meet you all.”

even though his sleepy, cat-like eyes had a stare that could slice diamonds, the cute gummy smile he flashed at the end of his introduce made hoseok believe this guy was nicer than he had seemed like at first.

but no, he shouldn't get his hopes up. yoongi maybe didn't know about his stuttering problem, but the rumors would get to him sooner or later.

hoseok's little, hopeful smile turned into another sad frown.

“okay yoongi, there are couple seats free, you can choose by yourself where you want to sit. there's one free spot next to nayeon ㅡ please rise your hand if i say your name ㅡ and one next to hyunjin, soyeon, and soobin. oh, and hoseok, too.”

hoseok akwardly raised his hand after hearing his name. of course no-one was sitting next to him .. and no-one ever would. he knew it well by himself, and that's why he was always sitting in the corner, all alone.

“thank you, i'll go sit there” yoongi murmured after thinking for a while, surprisingly pointing to the direction of hoseok.

the teacher just nodded with a smile.

at the same time, hoseok was having a mental breakdown. he didn't want this new student, ‘yoongi’, to get in trouble because he choose to sit with him, the stuttering boy with no friends.

“hey, yoongi, was it?” a voice called out for the ravenette, as he was making his way to the back of the classroom, where hoseok was sitting alone. “are you sure you want to sit with him?”

“did i stutter?” yoongi snapped back at the student interrupting him.

“no, but he does.”

giggles could be heard in the classroom, but yoongi didn't let that change his mind. he threw a disgusted look at this student, before claiming his seat next to hoseok.

“it's peaceful here, i like it” hoseok could hear yoongi mutter after he had sat down.

‘mm, i like it too’ hoseok thought in his mind, but didn't say it out loud. no way he was going to embarass himself right in front of this handsome newbie. no way.

well, since hoseok didn't say a word to yoongi, the ravenette decided to stay silent for the rest of the class, too. he didn't say anything even after the school bells rang, and just get out of the classroom right after hoseok.

at first hoseok didn't find it weird, but when the ravenette had followed him to the school yard, too, he was getting kind of suspicious.

hoseok had now hurried to his favorite spot to spend all the breaks, which was a peaceful place behind the school building. under a big tree, there was a bench, and on that bench, hoseok had sat down.

... and pretty soon, so had yoongi.

“w-why d-do you keep f-f-following me around?” hoseok stuttered out, being a bit nervous which wasn't helping him to pronounce words correctly, at all.

“you looked lonely” yoongi responded, and hoseok was honestly surprised to hear such a normal response. he had gotten used to people making fun of his stuttering as soon as he had opened his mouth.

“t-that makes n-n-no sense!” hoseok pouted a bit, not understanding why yoongi would have any reasons to stick around with him. “no-one l-likes m-me...”

“i guess i'm no-one then.”

“...” hoseok's cheecks had turned into a light shade of pink, as the ravenette next to him had a little smirk on his handsome face.

the smirk soon turned into this cute gummy smile hoseok got to witness once again. “smooth, aren't i?”

“you're blushing” the ravenette then pointed out with a chuckle. “don't worry, it looks cute. as if you already didn't.”

hoseok was in loss of words. this newbie was literally flirting with him. and honestly, yoongi really had the smoothest replys ever. “i-i-i..” hoseok really couldn't say anything.

“even your stuttering, it's so cute.”

“s-stop p-p-playing with me!!” hoseok whined, giving yoongi the meanest look he could give. yet, it was just an adorable pout.

“why should i?”

“b-b-because p-people will start t-talking b-b-bad things a-about you if you a-are with me” hoseok tried his best to explain, but his nervousness, and the slight feeling of crushing on this smooth ravenette, made him stutter even more than usually.

“who cares what the fuck other people say” yoongi chuckled once again, making hoseok's heart throb.

“actually, wanna be friends? we can add the ‘boy’ there at some point.”

“s-sure, i w-w-would l-love t-” hoseok suddenly covered his mouth with his delicate hands, after realizing what yoongi had said about adding the word ‘boy’.

“don't be so shy, seokseok.”

hoseok was now blushing clearly. not only at the ‘boyfriends’ reference, but also at the nickname yoongi had given him.

“honestly, i didn't just remember if it was ‘ho-seok’ or ‘my-soon-to-be-boyfriend-seok’ so i just used the only part i remember” yoongi gave hoseok a playful wink “but i just now realized that you have that name tag in your uniform, my bad~”

a blushing mess, that's what hoseok was at the moment. and probably would be for a while now.

“y-y-you m-meanie!!” hoseok squealed “y-you're making m-me b-b-blush!!”

yoongi couldn't help but to find this boy even more adorable now, than he had at first. something about him just made him want to tease him.

“haha, i'll catch you when you fully fall for me, seokseok~”
