Soo Emi

Hoseok got me a phone.

An iPhone.

"Ah, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I chirp while hugging Hoseok's waist. "Thank you so much!"

He pats my back. "You're welcome."

°

I wake up early the next morning and had a sudden urge to prank Hoseok. Just a small revenge for all the times he snuck into my room and scared me.

Although he bought me a brand new phone yesterday, which I am overly thankful for, I just want to catch him off guard.

It's payback time.

I find Hoseok snoozing in his bed and I tiptoe into the room, leaving the door open for an easy escape.

I kneel down and hid at the end of the bed, waiting for him to wake up.

The excitement was killing me.

I want to scare him.

I want him to scream bloody murder.

I should've gotten a fake hug and put it near his face or something, so that will be the first thing he sees when he wakes up.

That's diabolical.

And genius.

But I didn't think this far ahead.

I could pretend to be the grudge...

I crawl closer to him and ducked down.

Just then, Hoseok shifts around in his bed, causing the blanket to slide off his chest, exposing his bare skin.

NIPPLES!

"Oh-" I squeak, then immediately covered my mouth.

He shifts again and I fall to the ground to hide.

After a second of no sound, I lean back up and attempted to lift the blanket back up to cover his chest.

His hand suddenly grabs mine and my heart drops.

"No, no, no, no, no." I whisper, gritting my teeth.

Thankfully, his eyes stay closed and he returns to snoring.

His grip stays tight around my hand and I stand there, awkwardly bending over and covering my mouth to keep myself from crying.

My plan just went south real quick.

I slowly try to remove his hand from mine, but that only made him turn to his side, nearly pulling me with him.

I silently scream.

He then rolls onto his back.

"Please." He coos in his sleep.

I hold my breath.

"Stroke me." He breathes out.

My eyes nearly pop out.

WHAT?!

He brings my hand to his chest and my silent scream only intensifies.

I'm going to burst into tears.

"Stroke me. It makes me feel good." He continues to coo in his sleep.

Sweat was forming on my face.

His hand starts guiding mine across his chest.

Up and down, side to side.

The slower it was, the louder his breathing gets.

"It feels nice." He coos again.

I don't feel nice!

The second his hand lets go of mine, I sprint out of the room, not bothering to close his door on my way out.

I collapse on the floor of my bedroom, breathing heavily like I just finished a marathon.

That was the weirdest thing I've ever experienced.

I am never ever going into Hoseok's room ever again.

°

I change into ↓

What happened before burned in my mind and no matter how hard I shook my head, it never went away.

What in the rice cakes was Hoseok dreaming about?

Just my luck to catch him at such a weird time.

That was probably the universe telling me that I shouldn't be pranking him after all that he has done for me.

Fine.

I check on Hoseok in his bedroom and see he was still sleeping in the exact same position he was in when I tried to scare him.

Even though I was the one that got scared.

He wasn't even awake, but he still managed to scare me.

Tch.

I'll make him breakfast.

Happy, universe?

I head downstairs and to the kitchen.

Looking through the cupboards, I fail to find anything I could make a decent breakfast with.

I can do better than toast.

I should take him out!

As in, out for breakfast.

Even though I'll admit I have thought about taking him out with a sniper.

I run upstairs to check on Hoseok again.

His bedroom door was wide open and his bed was empty.

Oh? Where did he go?

Before I could think, a pair of hands land on my shoulders and I jump out of my skin.

"Hoseok!" I hold a hand to my heart. "What is wrong with you? Stop scaring me like that!"

"Then stop giving me chances, baby girl." He chuckles.

"I don't-"

He walks into his room, waving me off. "I'll be getting ready now."

"U-Uh, Hoseok! I have plans for today! For us. So, don't do anything....today-er, I mean, right now."

"What do you mean?" He faces me.

"I want to be in control today!" I puff out my chest with a fist up. "I want to be the boss today! And also pay you back for the phone..."

"Do you think you have enough money to satisfy me, baby girl?" He walks over and pinches my cheek.

"I-I do have money!"

"Alright then. I'll let you take 'control' today."

"Ok!"

I may not have a lot of money, but it's the thought that counts, right? Hoseok should be thankful.

°

I reach up and clipped the wet clothing onto the clothing line.

Namjoon is really rubbing off on me. After what he said after drying clothing outside because it makes the clothes smell good was actually true.

"You're like my maid." Hoseok comments as he strides to my side, looking at the line of clothing.

"I am not your maid." I calmly respond.

"Who knows." He shrugs with a smile.

"Anyways." I pick up the empty laundry basket. "Are you ready?"

"Can't you tell, Emi?" He steps back, showing off his outfit.

Green bomber jacket with a black tee underneath and black ripped jeans.

"You look nice." I give him a compliment and walk past him.

"Thank you, Emi. You don't look bad yourself."

"You're just saying that because I said it to you."

"Just take the compliment."

°

"Dim sum?" Hoseok looks to me.

"It's one of my favorites."

°

"Wasn't that delicious?" I ask Hoseok as we walk out of the restaurant. "Shumai is my ultimate favorite, but the shrimp balls are my second favorite."

He hums. "I've had better."

My mouth opens in offense. "Wow."

He takes my hand and brings me to his side.

"It may have been cheap, but it was still good." He says, looking away from me. "Thank you, Emi."

We walk through a stone pathway lined by beautiful cherry blossom trees. The ground below were covered in the pink and white leaves that twirled around in the cool breeze.

"Hoseok! Take a picture for me!" I hand him my phone. "I want one with the cherry blossoms."

"Great. Did I make a mistake of gifting you a phone?" He sighs, but complies anyway.

I stand under the trees and held up a peace sign.

"You want to know something, Emi? You would look a lot better if you smiled bigger." Hoseok shouts from behind the phone.

"I'm smiling as big as I can." I shout back through gritted teeth as I struggle to widen my smile.

The camera clicks and I rush over to see.

"How is it?" I ask.

"Perfect."
