The people without an element
The girl looked at Alexander for a long time before speaking.
Girl: Hey what's your name?
Alexander: It's Alexander.
Girl: That's a nice name. I supposed that I should give my name for asking yours. You can call me Alice. The man driving this carriage is my assistant Harris.
Alexander looked out the window as the carriage came to a slow stop. They had arrived at a small town in an open felid. He could see from the town the mountains that him, gray and silf had slept under when they first went to the temple.
Alice: Well after you Alexander.
He stepped out of the carriage and looked around. People were working with one another on various activities. Harris had picked Alice out of the carriage, the blanket still covering her legs. The people stopped and flocked around Alice. She spoke kind words to all of them.
Eventually, Harris took her to one of the smallest homes in the town and the people got back to work. The cut wood fished in the stream that ran next to the village. Harris sat Alice across from Alexander.
Alice: Can we get you anything, Alexander?
Alexander: No no I'm fine.
Alice: I should explain why I was carried in shouldn't I
Alexander: if you want
Alice: well my legs don't work and since we haven't seen anyone in the village with an element. They were never healed properly.
Alexander: What do you mean by that.
Alice: well the people here including me were born without any kind of element.
Alexander: How is that possible?
Harris brought tea and set in on the table between them.
Harris: We don't know. Other people around the world have been burdened by this oddity. As far as we can tell the ancestors of our people had powers but chose not to use them. Their children started to see a decrease in the ability to control and use their elements until eventually, it vanished.
Alice: Hey but it's not so bad. The town here being outlasted from normal places have grown together.
Alexander looked at them. These people were what creation and destruction to be like. Without the discriminatory element, these people have United. Alexander stood up.
Alexander: I thank you for your hospitality but I truly must be leaving.
Alice: Did we offend you in any way?
Alexander: No no that's not it at all. I have a prior arrangement I forgot about until now.
Alexander knew his presence would cause harm to these people. Them being without elements would put them in more danger.
Alexander turned and left leaving Alice confused. He had wasted to much time out in the open.
An:
I hope you all are enjoying the story.
Alexander has met the people of no element. Please feel free to add comments about what you would like to see happen. It might become a thing.
