Ch. 19

Loki smiles at the mention of the words. "After the day you left, I never thought I'd live to see you again. Let alone say those words."

You smile back. "And you'll never stop hearing them. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I-" Loki kisses you, stopping you midsentence. "And I'll never get tired of hearing them," Loki replies.

"Speaking of, what have you been doing the past 5 years?" You ask, looking up at Loki. After your heated make out session, the both of you decide to sit down on the ground. Loki leaning against the wall and you in front of him, seated between his legs, your head resting on his chest.

"I-uh, not much really, actually. I guess all I did was wait. For you. I couldn't exactly go to anyone else. What about you?" You look down and try to distract yourself by picking at your fingernails.

"Natalie? Natalie, are you alright?" Loki asks worriedly, leaning forward and turning his head to look at you. "I...yes. I'm fine, I just, after 5 years, you've done nothing...except wait for me. And I feel...guilty, and disloyal. I went to someone else after you. I didn't like the feeling of being alone. He wasn't exactly my ideal dream boyfriend, but, I guess I needed someone to go to." You shrug.

"So, what's your image of your ideal dream boyfriend then?" You smirk. "Well, he's tall, strong, has..." You take a strand of Loki's hair and twirl it around your finger. "Long hair. Perfect jawline." You trace a finger along his jaw. "His eyes, oh, I'd kill to have his eyes. He has the most beautiful eyes."

Loki chuckles. "And does he have a name?" You smile slyly. "Why he does," You say, raising your hand to rest on Loki's cheek. "And what might that name be?" You giggle to yourself. "James." You state, smiling like an idiot. "J-James?" Loki asks, clearly surprised. "Yep. James Buchanan Barnes." You say, still smiling ridiculously.

"But I...but you..." Loki says, unable to finish. You can't hold it anymore. You burst out laughing. "Of course it's you!" You say shaking your head. You stand up and turn around. You then crouch down and push Loki's legs together. You get on your hands and knees and crawl towards him. Once close enough, you drop yourself to the ground so that you are now straddling him.

"It's always been you," you say, leaning in closer. "Then say it." Loki says, his lips brushing yours as he speaks. "Say what?" You ask, a little confused. "Say. My. Name." He states, completely serious. "Loki. Loki Laufeyson." You state confidently. "Now you." Loki rolls his eyes.

"Natalie. Natalie Athena Tomlinson." He states, somehow with more confidence than when you had done it. You had forgotten that you told him your middle name. It was one of those late nights on the couch, just laying there, talking to each other until one of you fell asleep.

You smiled to yourself, happy knowing he remembered, even if it was such a long time ago. "You know, I always wondered why you're parents named you like that." You give him a confused look. "Like what?"

He stops and thinks about it for a moment. "I think I remember you telling me this, your parents wanted to name you something special, something...extraordinary. And as you grew up, you grew with two different nicknames. Nat and Ali. And surprisingly enough, your initials make your more frequently used nickname, Nat." Loki concludes, as if he were presenting some scientific breakthrough.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure you hit all the points there." You nod in approval. "But still why would they-" You stop Loki from continuing that sentence by covering his mouth with your hand. "Just shut up and kiss me already." You say, rolling your eyes.

"5 years and you still haven't learned patience..." Loki trails off as your lips meet his. Loki quickly resumes where he left off, kissing a spot beneath your ear that made your breath hitch and peppering kisses all along your jawline. You nip at his ear and he lets out a groan as he leaves a trail of hot kisses down your neck.

You lift his chin to face you and you kiss all over his jaw and his neck as his arms caress you, moving down the length of your spine, making you shiver. You bite down gently on his earlobe as his hand moves up your leg.

You press yourself against him and he grabs your hips with a groan. He flips you over so that he is now hovering on top of you, using his forearms as a brace, and you are laying on the ground. You both pull apart to take a moment to breathe and Loki trails his hand up your leg, and stops at the bottom of your shirt. He looks at you, and you simply nod. You take off your top as he smiles at you and leans in to whisper in your ear. "Good luck staying quiet."

Oh god.

You roll your head to the side as he kisses your bare shoulder and across your chest, basically anywhere where your skin is visible. You're caught by surprise as he gently moves his hips against yours, his lips brushing against your jawline. "Loki..." You breathe out as his lips find yours again. You lift yourself up and bury your head in his neck, gently biting down on his skin. "Natalie..." Loki lets out a low growl as your lips brush over his collarbone.

"Who needed luck staying quiet again?" You ask, arching an eyebrow as you lay back down. "You...may be giving me a run for my money." Loki replies. "But I'm not done with you yet." He continues as his fingertips test the waistband of your jean shorts. You bite your bottom lip, trying to stifle the moan rising within you.

Loki places a hand on your back and gently draws a line down your spine with his finger. His other hand is busy gliding up the back of your thigh. When both hands meet at your abdomen, he grips your waist as he kisses all over your stomach, making your back arch with pleasure. He then moves up, up, until his breath is hot on your cheek. You try to busy yourself by playing with strands of Loki's hair, the moan inside you begging to be let out.

Loki inches his face closer and whispers in your ear. "Just let it out Natalie. It's just the two of us. Just you..." He says as he nibbles on your earlobe. "And me." He bites down, which is just the push you needed. You cry out in pleasure as he moves back down.

Suddenly, an image of Stephen steps out from the darkness. You rush to put your shirt back on and sit upright as he walks closer. He glances at each of you for a second before speaking. "If you're about done, I need you," he points at Loki. "To act like you're mad at me for putting you in this darkness. Make up whatever excuse you like, just...be aggravated at me. Okay?" Loki nods in understanding. "Natalie I'm taking you out of here in about...a minute, so finish whatever you were doing and be ready." Stephen's image fades away as he finishes.

You clear you throat awkwardly as you play with the hem of your shirt. "So, um..." You start, trying to initiate some small talk between you two. "You liked it, didn't you?" Loki asks, looking over at you. "I...uh," You look down at the ground before a smile grows on your face. You look back up at Loki, the smile glued to your face. "I did." You say nodding. "You didn't have to say that for me to know that, you loud, naughty girl." Loki says with a smirk. Your mouth widens in shock. "Excuse me, but I believe you were the cause of that loudness." You say back.

"Ah, pointing fingers now, are we?" Loki asks. "I don't see any fingers here," you say with a smile, holding your hands behind your back. "You sly creature," Loki says standing up. He walks towards you and backs you into the wall. He grabs your hands and holds them above your head with one of his. "You might want to ask your friend for an extra minute." Loki comments before kissing you softly. "I don't think I can..." You pause to peck at his lips. "Do that..." You trail off as Loki's tongue finds its way through your parted lips.

Loki grabs hold of the back of your thigh and lifts your leg up. As if on instinct, you wrap your legs around his waist and press your body against his and Loki groans at the sudden contact. Stephen's voice speaks in your head. "Time's up. You can get off of him now." You roll your eyes. "Time for me to go." You tell Loki as you press a quick kiss to the corner of his mouth. "But we just got to the fun part," Loki complains. You hop off of him and try to fix your appearance. "Oh hush, I'm sure we'll see each other later." You say with a grin. And you feel yourself fade away from the darkness.

You reappear in a different spot than you were last time. You peek out and see you're near the bottom of the grand staircase. You see Thor dusting off glass particles on his umbrella, and a portal leading...somewhere. Thor speaks up. "I suppose I'll need my brother back." Stephen's head perks up. "Oh yeah, right." Stephen conjures another portal above ground and Loki falls out screaming. He lands on the ground and seems fairly aggravated. He lifts his head and whips his hair out of his face before scoffing exaggeratedly. "I have been falling for 30 minutes!" He exclaims.

Stephen stares at him for a second before turning to Thor. "You can handle him from here." Thor nods and holds out his hand. "Yes, of course. Thank you very much for your help." Stephen shakes Thor's hand and his eyes avert to Loki once more. "Good luck." Stephen replies. Loki gets up from his spot on the ground. "Handle me? Who are you?" He asks as he pulls out two daggers, one in each hand. Thor holds up a hand to Loki. "Loki," he warns. Loki ignores his brother. "You think you're some kind of sorcerer? Don't think for one minute, you second-rate..." Loki starts.

Stephen's voice speaks in your head again. "Go through the portal." You sneak towards the portal and go in just in time to hear Stephen say, "All right. Bye-bye." Then Thor and Loki come into the place where the portal led to. Loki stumbled then fell on the grass while Thor walked in calmly. You stand a good distance away from them and you're 90% sure they can't see you from where you stand.

You see them walk towards an old man who had to be their father. You see them conversate, but being as far away as you are, you couldn't hear a thing. And then, the older man fades into golden dust. The two men rise and watch as their father floats away. You hear the rumble of thunder and easily tell that Thor was getting mad. To your right, a good 30 feet away, a flash of green appears out of nowhere. The brothers walk towards it, and in the process, Thor slams his umbrella against the ground and lightning strikes in several different places. It also somehow changed his attire. Loki's outfit simply transforms into a green, black, and gold ensemble.

Loki looks over and notices you. "Natalie!" You run towards him, careful to stay a good distance away from the green and black...something. Once you reach Loki, you stay close beside him. He wraps an arm around you protectively and pulls you closer. You look over at the green and black thing and realize it's a portal. A woman looking slightly older than Thor steps out, dressed all in black, with some holes and silver outlining. She simply stares at the two brothers, a challenging look in her eyes.

The portal sucks itself in behind her and disappears into nothing. "So he's gone." Are the first words to come out of her mouth. The two brothers say nothing. "That's a shame. I would've liked to have seen that." Thor responds first. "You must be Hela." He says with a subtle nod. "I'm Thor, son of Odin." Hela, I assumed was the woman, looked a bit surprised. "Really? You don't look like him." Loki speaks up, still holding you close. "Perhaps we can come to an arrangement." He says with a serious tone. Hela looks over at Loki. "You sound like him."

You all just stand there for a second unsure of what to do. Hela nods towards the three of you. "Kneel." Is all she says. Loki looks at her. "Beg your pardon?" Hela looks down and a sword materializes in her hand. "Kneel." She repeats. "Before your queen." Thor steps forward. "I don't think so." He throws his hammer at Hela and she...catches it. She holds it back from hitting her with a single hand. She looks at the hammer, that of which is vibrating against her hand, waiting to be set free.

Thor holds his hand out to summon his hammer back into his hand but nothing happens. "That's...not possible." Thor says, shocked. "Darling, you have no idea what's possible." Hela responds. Her eyes shift to the hammer and you see her apply more pressure and the hammer explodes into pieces with a blast of lightning. Loki bends down and protects you from the blast. You watch in horror as the hammer falls to the ground, completely destroyed.

Hela combs her hair back with her hands and it transforms into a multi-spiked helmet. Hela conjures two more swords, one for each hand and walks towards the three of you. Loki, still holding on to you yells into the sky. "Bring us back!" Thor turns to you. "No!" He shouts. But it's too late. He tries to make a run towards Hela but the Bifrost pulls him upwards. Thor zooms ahead as you all make your ascend to Asgard and looks down. "Loki!" He calls out in warning. Loki looks down with your arms wrapped around his torso, as you are behind him.

You look down with him to see Hela approaching fast. He quickly mutters a spell and you feel...different. Loki then throws a dagger down at Hela, which she dodges easily. She throws a sword back at you and it hits Loki's gauntlet, knocking you both out of the Bifrost. You breath quickens as you are hurtled through space, Loki holding on tightly to you.

"Just breathe Natalie. Try to calm down. I know, you're in space. It's going to freak you out a bit. But I cast a spell on you that will allow you to survive out here. Just...don't let go." You nod and grab onto Loki's arm as your eyes succumb to sleep.

"Natalie. Natalie, are you awake? Natalie?" Your eyes slowly open at the mention of your name. You look up and see Loki above you. He gives a sigh of relief. "Natalie, we've landed." You sit up, confused. "Wha-where are we?" You ask looking around. Your hand slips from behind you, but Loki places a steady hand on your back. "Careful. You may be a little...unsteady, at first. But it's normal. Just stay seated for a bit. I'll look around." You nod and place your hands behind you once more.

You look around at your surroundings. You see piles and piles of...trash? Broken metal, that seem to be former parts of ships. You look up at the sky and find a lot of what looks like...wormholes? Scraps and pieces that were floating in space found their way here and drop to the ground through the holes.

Once feeling stable, you stand up and look around a little more. You see the piles sloping upwards, and it's then you realize you're in a valley. You climb to the top  and see rolling hills and valleys, all of which made of scrap metal. You turn and see something in the distance. You squint your eyes and realize it's a city. You look down and see Loki approaching. You slide down the hill using a piece of scrap metal and make your way towards Loki.

"Loki, there's a city, um...that way!" You say pointing towards where you saw the city. "Let's go then," Loki says, grasping your hand.

A little while later, the two of you arrive at the outskirts of the city. You walk along the bustling street and see many different species of living beings. You lean closer to Loki. "Are those...aliens?" You whisper in Loki's ear. He nods to you. "You're going to see a lot of different things here. Things you haven't seen before. Try not to offend anyone, and try not to stare." You nod as he continues to guide you through the crowded street.

You come to a large tower with faces made of metal on the front of it. You stare up at the huge building, wondering what could possibly be inside. Four masked guards appear from the shadows. They grab you and take you and Loki inside. They bring you to a room with one man seated in the center and a woman with a staff beside him. "Who are you and where are we?" Loki asks the man.

"Hello newcomers. Welcome to Sakkar. You may call me the Grandmaster."
