"Rose, how nice to see you again," Jack Labelle said, beckoning his love inside of his home. Jack lived a single life-until a couple weeks ago. When he met Rose.
Rose had walked into the park, her short flowing green dress and flower crown , and instantly caught Jacks attention. She was only a inch shorter than Jack, who was 6'4. Her long brown hair seemed to flow with her dress as she walked towards the bench he was sitting at, and her bright green eyes made her seem almost mischievous and dangerous-so etching Jack didn't even know he liked in a woman, him being 34 and all. She smiled at him and sat down next to him.
"Um, hello, who might you be?" Jack had asked. Rose had smiled and offered her hand. Jack shook it.
"My name is...Rose," she said, the pause strange to Jack, but he ignored it.
"I'm Jack. Jack Labelle. Nice to meet you Miss Rose," Jack smiled politely. Rose had smiled as well. Somehow, Jack didn't even really know how it had happened, they had exchanged numbers. The next couple of weeks they had gone on several dates, and became what you could call, 'official'. Jack loved her, more than he had ever felt for anyone else. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but maybe he would ask in a couple of months.
Now, Rose immediately walked in and as the door closed, she pushed him up against the wall. Jack smiled as they started kissing passionately. Rose's eyes sparkled with a kind of dangerous powerful look that Jack had grown to love. Jack ripped off her dress throwing to the floor, exposing her. Rose smiled and they kissed more. Rose ripped his shirt off and they kissed more. Until they brought it upstairs.
Two weeks later, there were crazy things happening all over the news. Two weeks later, Rose had never appeared again. Jack's was heart broken. Her phone number had been disconnected, all trace of her gone. The woman he had loved was gone. Until the night he caught her earthy perfume scent by the doorway as the doorbell rang.
He opened the door and tears sprung to his eyes when he saw what was on the step in front of him. It was humanly impossible, it had only happened two weeks ago. But in the doorway was a small baby boy, his bright green eyes exactly like Rose's. But he had little blond tufts of hair, just like Jack. His skin was a tone darker than Jacks, like Rose's. Jack scooped the baby out of the basket and saw a small note fall out of the baby's green blanket. Jack used one free hand to pick it up, and he read.
My dearest Jack,
I am sorry I left. The baby-something happened. I do not know why so early either, but I find it best to not question a twist in the Fates like this. Protect him, give him all the love that I as his mother can not give him. I know it is difficult to understand, but something may happen to me, something that I can not explain to one like yourself. But really, Jack Labelle, I do love you. And I love our baby, Peter, too. I hope you can forgive me, my love.
With all my love,
Rose G.
And then Jack Labelle, the age of 34, cried.
I hope you guys like it so far!! I know already that I'm horrible to my characters, you don't have to remind me further *cries*.
I hope I get some good reads,
-Amber❤️
