Rose's POV

I woke up to the sound of people talking. My hands were tied behind my back and I was surrounded by trees.

"What do you mean you want the girl?" I heard a voice say. When I looked under the horse, that was tied next to me, I saw two men. One was a strange man that resembled a frog and the other one was Henry. My body started to shake as the ugly memories started to replay in my mind. I didn't know how I got here, but all I could remember was being outside the enchantress's cabin and hearing a sound. And when I inspected where it came from I was attacked.

"I'm sorry Mr Frog, but the girl belongs to me." I heard Henry say. Mr Frog? That must be the same man Keelan told me about.

I felt a weight on my shoulder as their arguing droned on. When I looked up I saw that Blueby was perched on my shoulder. And I've never been more happier to see my sweet bird that wiggled his way into my heart.

"Blueby warn Keelan." I whispered to the little bird before it gave a whistle and flew off. When I returned my gaze to the men I saw that Mr Frog was lying on the ground with eyes closed and I got a feeling Henry was to blame.

I heard him come over and quickly shut my eyes pretending to be asleep. He hunched over me before he traced my jaw with his fingers.

"Don't worry Rose we're almost home." He said before he picked me up and placed me on the horse. After he was seated behind me he urged the horse into a sprint.

We rode long and hard and all I could hope was that Blueby finds Keelan in time.

Keelan's POV

The next morning I woke with a song in my heart and a smile on my face. I couldn't believe I kissed Rose, but I was glad I did. I only hope she realised how much I really felt for her. I think I might love, no who was I kidding I did love her and I was going to tell her today.

My smile only brightened at the thought of telling Rose I loved her. And maybe the legend of us being soulmates might just be true. I only hope she feels the same. I quickly got dressed and headed to the kitchen. Everyone was already seated, everyone except Rose.

"Morning. Where's Rose?" I asked.

"Maybe she's still sleeping. I'll quickly check on her." Evelyn said before she walked to Rose's room.

A horrid expression was etched on her face when she returned.

"She's not there."

"Where could she be then?" I asked worried.

"I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation." Carling said. Just then Blueby flew through the open window. He fluttered bewilderedly around me before he flew to Rose's room. He fluttered there a few times and I didn't understand what the bird wanted. Then suddenly it made sense.

"Do you know where Rose is?" I asked and the bird let out a whistle. I told it to show me the way as I rounded up the knights. I could only hope she was safe.

We journeyed after the bird for hours before the bird stopped. I climbed of my horse and began inspecting the area. There were boot prints and traces of a fire. I quickly felt the ashes but it was stone cold.

"They've certainly been here, but it's a while ago. It would be hard to catch up with them." I said as I picked up some ashes and let it flew in the wind.

"Who could've taken her?" Nick asked. Right at that moment my eyes caught onto something blinking in the sun. I moved closer to inspect it and when I picked it up, I immediately recognised it as Henry's ring.

"I think I know who it was." I said as I stood up with the ring in my hand.

"Henry, that formoggal. How did he know where to find her?" Ben asked.

"I don't know, but what I do know is that there is a war coming. Ben you and Caleb ride back home as fast as possible to inform my father. Nick and I would return to Evelyn and Carling." They nodded before we all went our seperate way. We traveled with the speed of lightning for we all were hasty to return Rose.

Rose's POV

When I woke up once again we were at a stream. It was a stream that was at the edge of the two realms. My legs throbbed from all the riding and I was glad Henry decided to take a break. I still had my eyes closed pretending to be unconscious. Henry placed my body against a tree before he lead the horse to drink some water. I tried to keep my eyes open, but they suddenly felt heavy once more and before I knew it the cool wind and fresh air quickly lulled me back to sleep.

The bright sun woke me from my slumber once more and when I opened my eyes I found myself in my old room. I didn't know how long I was asleep a day or two perhaps, but all I knew was that I was back in the human realm. I wanted to cry, feeling scared out of my mind, but I decided to hold on until Keelan comes for me.

Keelan. I hope Blueby got to him and he placed the puzzle pieces together. Why didn't I tell him I loved him? There might be a chance that I'll never see him again. That thought scared me more. I couldn't live with never seeing Keelan again. I'll rather die than stay here with Henry.

The door to my room was suddenly unlocked and Agatha stepped inside with food in hand. When she saw I was awake she quickly closed the door and placed the food on the table before she rushed over and hugged me.

"You're awake!" She whisper screamed as she held me close.

"Agatha, I've missed you." I said.

"Me too."

"How long was I asleep?" I asked when she pulled away.

"Three days." Three day! That was a very long time.

"Where's Henry?" I asked.

"He insists that you are fed first before he sees you." She said as she brought the food closer to me. My stumach groaned seeing all the food. I started to eat excessively forgetting all my manners.

"Slow down." Agatha said with a small laugh probably looking at my face. I only gave her a small smile in return.

When I was done eating I quickly cleaned myself up. Agatha said that she would visit me a little later again.

I sat crossed legged on my bed thinking of a way to escape. I needed to get out of this place and return to Keelan ,but how?

Maybe if Agatha returned we could devise a plan. I was certain she would assist me in my escape and I would certainly string her along. My head was working in overdrive as I thought of the perfect escape plan.

It was later that evening that the door was once again unlocked and Henry came inside with a letter in hand. My body started to shake as I recalled the previous memories of what happened.

"Ah my love, you're awake." He said as he walked inside the room with the brightest smile.

I wanted to throw up, this man had no idea how much he actually repulsed me.

"I thought now that you're back we can finally hold our wedding ceremony. And I would forgive you for what you've done if you never mention that bastard Keelan ever again." He said as he tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

"Forgive me for what?" I asked.

"For running away with Keelan of course and for not telling me about your powers. But Rose I love you. I believe you and I could work this through together." He said.

"Now, I was thinking of having the ceremony-"

"I will not marry you." I said even before he could finish his sentence.

"Pardon me?" He asked.

"You heard me." I said defiantly.

"You ungrateful woman!" He screamed before I was slapped once again.

"You think you could just refuse me like I'm nothing. Guards!" He screamed before the black dressed knights entered the room.

They once again dragged me out of the room to the dungeon. I thought that I was going to be whipped again but then they took me to a cell. They threw me inside before they locked me inside.

Henry stood on the other side of the bars staring at me menacingly.

"Your love sent a letter declaring war. And I must tell you one thing, I can't wait to drive my sword through him." He spat at me before he threw the piece of paper at me and stormed out of the dungeons.

I grabbed the paper in my hand as I quickly moved over to a stream of light were I could read more properly. I scanned over the paper, the war was going to take place in five days time when the fae army arrived.

"What does it say?" A voice asked from beside me and I let out a startled yelp before I moved to the other side of the room.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." The voice said.

"Where are you?" I asked as I tried to calm my beating heart.

"Here." She said as she stepped out of the darkness and when my eyes landed on her I was shocked beyond words. Because standing infront of me was a faery, she had blonde hair and pointed ears. She looked many years older than me, maybe only a few years younger than my mother.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Eleanor." She said, and when I heard her words all the puzzle pieces fell into place and I immediately placed her as Keelan's sister. But the only questions was, how?

Keelan's POV

After we went back to the enchantress we traveled back home along with Rose's mother. We immediately called the army together and we're currently on our way to the human kingdom.

The progression was painstakingly slow and there were many times when I contemplated of heading on my own just to get to Rose. I needed to see her, I needed to know she was okay. And if that formoggal so much as touched a hair on her head I'll kill him.

The knights tried to calm me from time to time but I was just to worried about what Henry might do to her. The knights tried to hurry the progression along as fast as possible but it was hard.

That night when we made camp I looked up and stared at the stars only hoping Rose was doing the same. I hoped she was alright and alive. I sent Henry the war declaration the day I arrived at the castle with the enchantress and Evelyn. Evelyn was staying at the castle with my mother. My father and the enchantress insisted on coming along.

I was mad that I didn't get the opportunity to tell Rose how I felt. That I loved her.

"Don't worry, dear. We will get her back." The enchantress said as she placed her hand on my shoulder like my mother always did when I there was something bothering me.

"I'm scared of what he might do." I said earnestly.

"I know, I feel the same. Henry has always been unpredictable, but I have hope he won't hurt her and he still loves her." She said.

"What if he whips her again?"

"Keelan, you'll kill yourself with your thoughts. We can deal with that when we get there, but first let's just get there." She said and I nodded. I would do my best to get there as soon as possible. Hold on my love I'm coming.
