Allison hadn't meant to invite her family to her wedding.

It might have sounded cruel but it was the truth. She hadn't meant to invite her 8 remaining siblings to her wedding or give them plus ones.

She had toyed with the idea of course. Had been missing all of them ever since she left home at 18 and hit it big. But she eventually decided that it wouldn't feel right without Ben and Five there, and that it was best to keep her past life separate from her current one.

She didn't need to drag Patrick into her hellish old life. Even if a traitorous part of her brain love to whisper and remind her that it hadn't all been bad.

Luthor and her innocently holding hands.

Klaus and her painting/coloring eachother's nails with anything they could get their hands on and playing dress up.

Ben and Hannah reading stories allowed to her and the others, and them all acting them out.

Rori baking them all sweets with Diego and mother when father was way.

Peachy teaching her how to do this and that with Pongo.

Five's banter with all of them and his rare smiles.

Diego killing bugs for her when she got scared.

Phoenix always keeping a flame a lit when she use to be afraid of the dark.

The games they all played. The dreams they had.

She didn't want Patrick to be apart of the bad. To see what she came from and hightail it out of there. So Allison decided to discard the invites she had made for her siblings and just send the rest. Only she forgot to do that. Or more specifically, her assistant did.

Yes, she had an assistant. Being a starlet was hard, okay?! Especially at 21!

But that isn't the point. The point is that she hadn't meant to invite her siblings but they had gotten invited anyway. Each and every one of them. All without her knowing.

Luthor had been at home when he got the invite and decided to go. Taking Grace as his plus one with his father's permission. Which he was only granted due to him being a good asset to the Umbrella Academy and the only member really left.

He was happy that he would be able to see his sister again and that he'd be out of the house for once. He was sure that Mum was too.

Allison was her oldest daughter after all and it wasn't everyday that one's daughter was getting married...

Diego had been in his dorm at the Academy when his roommate, Chuck Beaman, came in and tossed the invite at him.

He had scoffed at it, at first. Intent on not going because he hadn't heard from his sister since they both left the Academy on their birthday. So why should he be expected to go out of his way to attend?

But Chuck and Eudora talked him into it. Saying that if his friend— he hadn't told them he had siblings and they hadn't read the invite, so they assumed it was a friend—sent the invite than she must really be sorry. Must really miss and want him there.

Also adding that if that wasn't reason enough to go than the free food and alcohol and break that came with it should be.

So he begrudgingly decided to go.

Besides, maybe Three was genuinely wanting to see him and the others. But just in case things went south, he wouldn't bring a plus one.

That way he'd be able to act like nothing happened if he was correct.

Klaus was in rehab when he got the invite. Which was probably a good thing depending on who you asked because he probably wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.

He was excited for it.

He had always wanted to go to a wedding and he had missed his sister so why wouldn't he be excited? Why wouldn't he go?

Ben was more apprehensive about the whole thing, knowing that it was probably a mistake. Something he didn't have the heart to tell Klaus.

But in the end, his yearning to see his siblings all together again (or almost all together) won out and he stopped trying to convince Klaus to stay in the rehab center.

Their sister's wedding was worth the risk of Klaus relapsing. At least that's what they told themselves.

They would be each other's plus ones.

Vanya had been hesitant to go. Had mulled it over in her head for hours and hours and days and days once she got the invite.

Feeling bitter and unsure of why her sister would want her, the forgotten and ordinary child there. The unwanted sister who very few of the siblings had bothered to even seek out over the years.

But deep down she had always known she was gonna go.

Because she couldn't turn down a chance at seeing and connecting with her sister again. Like all those years ago when they were small children. So, she decided to go.

Even if she looked foolish attending without a plus one.

Phoenix had known it was a mistake the moment she got the invitation. As did Rori and Peachy. But Hannah hadn't.

No, Hannah had actually thought that Allison wanted them and their friends that she had never met at her wedding. That she has decided to put aside all of the differences all of them had ever aside so that they could get to know her celebrity husband. Public image be damned.

And by the time the other three had even realized Hannah had saw their invitations, it was too late for them to even try to convince her. Too late for them to even try and convince her that it wasn't a good idea to try and go.

Something all of them were cursing their selves for. They could see the heartbreak this was gonna cause from a mile away and they hated it.

Especially since it meant that they now had to go to the damned wedding so they could pick up the pieces of their sister's broken heart when it was inevitably revealed that Allison hadn't actually wanted them there.

Rori was stress baking. Probably hoping that if he baked enough, he'd be able to bribe Allison into not revealing the huge mistake she had made.

Peachy was pacing and spending more time at school, probably trying to find a way to get them out of this mess. Preferably one that wouldn't end terribly for their siblings.

Hannah was excitedly helping them pick our hairstyles and suits and dresses while also looking for the perfect wedding gift. Talking everyone's ears off about how wonderful the wedding was gonna be and how this was their chance to reconnect with their siblings. Talking everyone's ears off as she gushed about how wonderful this 'Patrick' must be. Unbearably, genuinely happy with no anxiety about when the other shoe was gonna drop for once.

And Phoenix?

Phoenix was feeling murderous.

Because if this did turn out to be a mistake or a prank, it was gonna destroy a good deal of the progress Hannah had made. Was gonna destroy her emotionally and mentally, and make her anxiety skyrocket every day after they were turned a way.

Was gonna make her cry and spiral into a self loathing mess who feared that she was annoying everyone and that no one wanted her around. Which was something they had finally gotten Hannah through.

Phoenix could already picture Hannah's face falling at the news. Could see her eyes watering as she tried not to cry. Tried not to be the crybaby everyone had seen her as a kid.

And she absolutely fucking hated it and wasn't sure that she was gonna be able to stop herself from killing Allison if that moment came.

Which would only serve to make the situation worse and make Hannah cry more.

Which is why Phoenix made the hard decision to let Darcy, Luke, and Haul in on the upcoming disaster. She and the others had put it off for as long as they could, hoping that they wouldn't have to drag their friends into their shit family life. But the moment Hannah talked about wearing a dress to "Allie's" wedding that hope went out the window.

Because Hannah hated dresses. Hated having to save her legs to wear them and hated how exposed they made her feel. So if she was talking about going dress shopping with no complaints—with a smile even—then the brunette really cared. Really wanted to make Allison's big day special and to look good and fit in, comfort be damned.

Which would make the pain worse—especially when one considered that Hannah was the only one of them who actually went out of her way to talk to their oldest sister.

So getting their 3 friends involved was definitely a necessity because not could they lessen the blow when the time came but also stop Phoenix from literally killing Allison if need be.

Knowing how protective the red head was of her older sister, it would probably would be.

So yes, numbers 8 to 11 did plan on attending the wedding—and they certainly weren't going alone.

Hannah was bringing Haul as her plus one because he was her boyfriend.

Phoenix was bringing Darcy as hers because she needed her to hold her back and blow off steam when the time came.

Rori was bringing Luke as his because he was his band mate, chef mate, and Hannah's bestfriend.

And Peachy was 7th wheeling because they only had so many friends, and she didn't want to bring her coworkers to this shit show.
