Chapter Six

The sun was already back in the sky when Nami, Arisu and Karube stepped through the entrance of the mall.

"Arisu! Karube! Nami! I Can't Believe it–", Chota said happily and tried to walk towards his friends with a self-made crutch. "I what worried when you guys were back this morning. It's so good to see you!"

"Chota, what are you doing? You should rest rest," said Nami.

She walked up to him to help, but he hugged her instead.

After a few seconds, he let go of Nami and also hugged Karube and Arisu.

But did't seem to notice that Karube was also injured.

Karube twitched slightly and Chota asked him concern whether he was injured.

"I'm okay," assured Karube.

The group sat down at a coffetable and Nami to care of Karubes wound.

In the meantime Karube told the others that one of the grim men had a radio with him.

After the game, someone else contacted the said radio and told them to come back to the 'beach'.

"Somebody radioed in?", repeated Chota and Karube put the radio on the table.

"Yeah. If we go to that beach place, we might be able to find something."

"Like where every in the city disappeared to?", mumbled Nami.

"Maybe there's an evacuation shelter. Maybe everybody's there."

"The slosest beaches to us are in Shonan, Izu, and Ito, right?"

"They're so far."

"But we can reach it in time."

"So, what do we think?", Arisu wanted to know. "Should we try going?"

"My vote is ... for now, we trust whoever this is", replied Karube and pointed to the radio.

"And how is Chota supposed to go?", Shibuki inquired.

"That's a good point," murmured Arisu.

"And our visas ... they expire today", Shibuki reminded the others.

"Then we'll have to win the game today and extend your visas," suggested Karube. "Sound Good?"

"Sounds good to me," said Nami. "We can wait until Tomorrow to look for the beach. It's not running away."

The group wanted to go early the next day (depending on when the game ended) and so that they did not want to waste time the following morning, Nami decided to put a few things in a bag (food, something drink...).

"Mind a bit of company?"

"No. Please sit down," said Nami and pointed at the seat in front of her.

Chota sat down at the table and handed Nami the last small water bottles.

"Thanks."

She closed the zipper of the backpack and placed it on the floor before also sitting down.

"You are unusually quiet today. Is everything okay?", Chota inquired.

"I just have a very bad feeling about the game later," murmured Nami.

"A bad feeling?"

The young man pulled the eyebrow together.

Most of the time, Nami did not show if she was worried about something– even if Chota, Arisu and Karube knew if something was wrong.

The young woman nodded.

"Don't worry. We win the game and then we will find answers."

Nami nodded again.

"Apart from that, it's pretty exciting, is it? A secret place in the middle of a secret world", Chota chuckled and tried to change the topic.

"Like an action movie," she agreed and her corners of the mouth twitshed up.

Nami leaned back and closed her eyes for a moment.

"Tired?"

"You have no idea," murmured the young woman.

She hadn't slept last night and that was slowly noticeable. That and the last game was very exhausting.

"I think, I take a little nap before the game," Nami explaind. "Would you mind waking me up in like an hour or something like that?"

"No, of course not."

Nami thanked him, stood up and went over to her bed.

So she dropped to the bed and closed her eyes.

"Please, stop screaming," begged Nami, trying to calm her four-month -old son.

He screamed the whole night, so Nami did not had a second of sleep.

Slowly, the young woman didn't know what to do now.

She couldn't ask her aunt either, who was traveling for a few days due to the funeral of a good friend– so Nami was alone with Takumi for the first time.

Nami was tired, overwhelmed and almost didn't hear the knock on the door.

But she did.

So the young woman went to the door and opened it.

"Wha– what are you doing here?", Nami wanted to know confused and looked back and forth between Arisu, Karube and Chota.

"You didn't answer any of the messages," said Chota. "I mean, we know that you have a lot to do, but– wow, you look exaused."

"Shut up", hissed Karube quietly.

"We thought, you could use help," said Arisu.

The three squeezed past Nami into the hallway and the young woman watched her friends put their jackets and shoes and shoes away.

"Help?"

"Yes. We look after Takumi and you take a small break."

Nami pulled her eyebrows together and thought about it for a moment.

A little break really did sound tempting.

"What do you think?", Nami asked her son. "Wanna spend some time with your godfather and uncles?"

Since Takumi did not complain, Nami interpreted this as approval and passed on the 4 month-old to Arisu.

"You guys are the best, really," thanked the young woman.

"Hey, we promised, we wouldn't leave you alone right?", Chota reminded her.

"Right," confirmed Nami. "Okay, so, if Takumi gets hungry, the formula is–"

"We know", Arisu interrupted her and walked with Takumi towards the living room.

"And if he starts to cry agai–"

"We know."

"And–"

"Nami, we know," said Karube and carefully pushed the young woman through the hallway. "Go take a shower and a nap."

"But–"

"No, but."

Since there no point to discuss this, Nami gave up.

She took a shower and wanted to lie down for an hour– actually a half an hour, but the boys persuaded to extend the afternoon nap.

Nami walked into her room, let herself fall on the bed and closed her eyes.

"He's late," said Arisu.

It was late. So late, that it was already dark and today's games would start soon.

And some time ago, Karube started because he wanted to get something important.

Arisu and Chota could already imagine what it was about, but decided not to asked.

"Yeah, should we just go?"

"No, we wait for Karube," replied Arisu.

"If we don't join the game, we could all die."

Shibuki shook her head and scoffed slightly.

"Chota, let's go", Shibuki spoke to the young man. "They all have days left on their Visa."

She helped Chota when steps quickly approached.

"There you are."

"Sorry", Karube apologized. "I needed to get something."

"What do you mean, 'sorry'?", Chota asked angrily.

When he saw the surprised faces of his friends, he added more quietly: "Shibuki and I ... for us, there's no Tomorrow."

"Don't be an angry."

"We're watting time. Let's go," said Arisu.

He turned away from the others and went towards the stairs.

Meanwhile, Karube walked up to Chota to support him while running.

"Wait, where is Nami? Is she waiting for us?", Karube inquired.

"She is still sleeping," replied Shibuki.

"Arisu and I thought it would be better to let her sleep," added Chota.

"That was a good idea," said Karube.

He didn't want to leave Nami alone, especially because she would probably worry if she  woke up.

And he could also imagine that the young woman will be angry with the three.

But on the other hand, she will understand it too, right?

"We left her a message, just in case," said Arisu when the group left the building.
