Summary of the plot -     The fictional story is about a dark romance between two main leading characters in India. The one is a female figure, whose name is Shravya. The other one is a male protagonist and his name is Zaid Grover, who is obsessed with her, he calls her Sona. In the past, when she deeply trusted him, he was her Zuzu, but he had changed after the amnesia. Unfortunately, he took the fatal and horrific decision to force himself upon her, without regarding her feelings. As she was strangling to overcome this horrific experience, she had managed to live out of his claws for two years. During this period of time, she got married to Aayush in her hometown Shimla. Shravya, also, suffered from panic attacks even after his absence, but he had Aayush’s support. After two years of freedom, the devil in disguise came to her doorstep again, creating a turmoil by murdering, recording every single step of his wrongful actions against her, forcing a marriage upon her, and misusing her, while she was in an unconscious state. While she is around him, she’s scared of being ravished, humiliated and used by him. His big mansion is her personal living hell. The hospital is the place where she finds herself, because she loses her consciousness and harms herself. Will she attempt anything in order to set herself free or not? Will she have any help in order to escape from her prison? Does Zaid Grover any hidden enemy? Will they be together at the end of their dark and chaotic journey? These some questions for me to write them down and for you to find out by choosing this fictional creation.

Personal Experience -  To be frank, I found mesmerizing the fact that the author didn’t choose to elaborate things around sensual scenes between the victim (Shravya) and the predator (Zaid). There weren’t degrading sexual abusive scenes. The author gave off some details about this kind of things, but she wasn’t entirely focused on the detailed sexual depiction. She paid attention to the psychological and emotional part of the female victim, who is miserable and helpless. The most interesting part is that the female protagonist was not a passive victim, who didn’t do anything and simply accepted anything, which happened to her and wrongfully forced upon her. She tried to set herself free and chased her freedom as many times as she could. She didn’t give up on anything so easily. She fought for her self-respect. All in all, she is not a little scared “rabbit”, even if she feels frightened of him (Zaid) and of his distractive actions.

Opinion -  Personally, I adore the author’s writing style, as the writer focuses on the emotional state of tainted Shravya and the constant darkness that engulfs her, when Zaid surrounds her. Specifically, the female protagonist is always scared of getting tainted or getting captured again by her tormentor. The author has the ability to successfully depict the terror of the female victim through her body language and her inner thoughts. At the same time, the writer is capable of picturing the dominating demeanor of the male perpetrator.

Furthermore, it’s captivating the way of how Aayush is pictured to the readers. To be more specific, he is introduced to us by Shravya’ s emotional flashbacks and he’s known to us only through these mental glimpses of Shravya’ s memories. The time is not specific in every single chapter chapters as the author pays attention to the emotional and psychological state of Shravya. Due to the lack of detailed descriptions of the surrounding and time precision in the first chapters, everyone feels like he/she is in a state of a dream or in a timeless chaos, and this choice gives the impression of to the readers.

Last but not least, throughout the reading process, I found myself feeling a little stuck at some points, as the author was successfully trying to create two strong personalities (Shravya & Zaid), she elongated some scenes. In order to clarify the complete difference between the two protagonists, by picturing the pure one, who magnetizes the evil one, she prolonged a little bit the scenes.

Recommendation -    I was eager to choose this story, judging by its captivating and elegant cover. This is a story about two different characters, who try to find their bliss. One of them uses the other for the seeking joy. That reveals one thing; people nowadays make an effort to reach their happiness and in their twisted mind, they don’t care if they use or misuse another human being. Finally, if someone can relate to this sorrowful, but yet realistic realization, then he/she should apparently head and carefully read this dark romance book as soon as possible.
