Book Title - Broken

Summary - Morgan Stanley, abused at home and bullied at school. Her friend Lydia is very close to her. One day something happened and she was framed for murder. And the person who set her up is her best friend. There are many twists and turns which can’t be revealed here.
Personal Experience: As the name suggests is a story of broken people. I loved the story as it is progressing. From Blurb, It seems that it is the story of Morgan. But no, it is a story of Lydia, and other characters also. The plot of the story seems strong. When Morgan was framed for the murder, I sympathized with her. But when she promises herself that she will kill Lydia. She doesn’t seem that innocent. The best part Morgan considers herself as a victim, but as the story progresses, somewhere I feel she is not a victim anymore. Would love to know Morgan's reaction when she realises that she is not the only victim here, others are also victims because of her. My sympathy is with Lydia.
Basically, in most stories, the protagonist is always right, suffers much, and in the end moves on. And antagonists, if talking about cliché stories, are just jealous of the beauty of protagonists or something. This is not the case here.
Here, initially, Morgan was looking naive but not anymore. And Lydia, though she has done a lot of bad deeds, the author has not missed the chance to show her humanity. Her struggle to kill the child. I loved the way the author has shown the flaws in both Morgan and Lydia. Glad she didn’t choose to make Morgan perfect. I enjoyed the transformation of naive Morgan to sadistic Morgan.
It is clear that both the girls lost someone close to their hearts. But how this loss turns their personality and makes them sadistic, is quite enjoyable to read.
Talking about other characters, they failed to leave an impression, especially Ethan’s character. It was like if we skip his part, it doesn't matter. His side of the story was boring to read and a little bit unrealistic. Maybe if his character was introduced in a better way, his POV won’t look pointless. Zane's character is progressing. He is not innocent but cares about his family. While reading it, it’s obvious he is struggling and somewhere blames himself for his father's death. Would love to know what Lydia has on him? Zane, Ethan's character appears important in the story. But as a reader, I enjoyed reading Lydia and Morgan's part. Zane and Ethan's character is not looking impactful and making the story a bit slow. As a reader, whenever I see Zane or Ethan's POV, I feel disappointed. I would suggest to the author if Zane and Ethan's characters are really important, then work on their characters more. Both of them need finishing. Overall, I enjoyed reading this story, though it’s a bit slow.
Recommendation: This story is perfect for those who want to read a good story. With a strong plot and great characters along with lots of surprise elements.
