༈ We don't care about the number of reads or votes your book has. Reads shouldn't determine the potential of your book. Some books have over 100k reads yet they haven't won any award so you can have any amount of reads to enter this award because if you deserve it you deserve it.

༈ Add this book to your library and reading list.

༈ You must give this award a shout-out.

༈ Your book must be written in English.

༈ If the genre of your book is not here, you can come back next time. But do not enter your book into a genre that it is not.

༈ Books must have at least five chapters (excluding aesthetics, prologue, and such). For poetry, participants must have at least six poems. For Short story, at least a chapter. If you get the password incorrect twice, you will be disqualified.

༈ You are allowed to enter a maximum of two books into this award. You are not allowed to enter two of your books in the same genre and you are not allowed to enter the same book into two genres.

༈ You must not contact the judges for any reason. If perhaps there is something you would like to clear up, private message this account and we will attend to you.

༈ Copy the questions in the form and reply accordingly. Fill it in as a single comment. Password is a word that starts with the second letter in your username. You will be asked to refill if this is not done properly.

༈ If you change your username or book title, please inform us.

༈ Experience is not compulsory, but you must be willing to adapt to the judging system.

༈ You can only judge a maximum of two genres. For your sake and the sake of everyone else.

༈ Be aware that you will be judging a minimum of 5 books. On rare occasions will you judge more or less.

༈ Must be comfortable with Mature and LGBTQ.

• Can you talk about the special category aspect?

There are just 4 special categories in this award and they are - overall best cover, overall best title, overall best blurb, and book of the year. Every winner of these categories should feel great because their book has been placed over all the 300+ books that had been accepted.

The judging process is simple: Every participant is automatically longlisted for every one of the categories but to get to the shortlist, we would have to choose your book. The shortlist will be published for everyone to see and after this, your guest judges will be selecting one from each category. This does not apply to the Book of the Year.

The participant with the highest score might not be crowned the book of the year. We may decide to look at the winning rates and if a participant is just too exceptional, one of their books will become book of the year. If there is a tie, BGT will read the books and a winner will be decided.

• Can I participate again if I did in the last award?

Of course! There will be new judges and new books so you never know what will happen! However, if you placed first in any genre, you may participate again but either with a different book (could be a rewritten version or another book entirely) or in a different genre. Second and Third place holders are welcome to join again like regular participants.

• What do we do with the stickers?

You attach it to your book with editing apps like PicsArt, Ibis paint X, Photoshop, Canva, Phonto and so on.
