Sooo if you are a fan of historical fiction and bwwm then this review sooo totally for you. If you like reading about black history and slavery then this book got you. If you are into billonaire romance novels then this also kind of for you only that its back in the day sort of billonaires, you get my point. This is one of those books that literally satisfies all its readers. And its none other but.......

The name of this book alone is appealing and asks, no demands for your attention. Being historical fiction it takes you back to the early 1700 - 1800 where slave trade was in abundance, and gives the complete view of how black slaves where treated back then.

It takes you back to the days of old where people of colour where sold and used as slaves, taken from their own countries to a foreign land only to be used and treated no better than rags.

This is the world our dear Panashe meaning 'God with us' finds her self in, a world where is told that she is unattractive, repulsive and ugly only to go through sexual harassment and abuse by the very same people calling her all these crude names.
Growing up as a child she had been told that those that worked in the main house had it easy unlike the rest of them that had to work and till on the fields, but Panashe found this so calling sayings and assumption to be false for she faced more hardship and pain; physically, mentally and emotionally in the so called privilege main house.

Master William Gallagher better known as junior Gallagher amongst his slaves, had been trained and brought up to know that he was better than people of colour and had no business touching or associating with one but it was okay to take advantage of them, very absurd stupidity if you ask me. Taught by his Father Master Gallagher(senior) he look down on the black slaves and was no longer the cheerful easy going child he used to be, the one Panashe grew up knowing. He had been tainted with the vile practice of racism.

With backgrounds such as these having these two clash together is obviously going to be nothing short of exictment, fun, pain, romance and much more. Their relationship with each other isn't just your regular slave master one, its a hot steamy affair between the two. Despite the fact that the junior Gallagher had a wife and a child (well thought he had), Panashe a slave whose duty was to attend to his son was his mistress, a mistress he soo poorly treated. Treating her so shabily and disrespectful was his own way of denying his feelings for her and he had been doing quite a good job about it, that is until Elliot; a slave from another plantation came into the picture arousing deep jealousy and feelings he had been struggling so hard to keep buried. In an attempt to keep her to himself and claim her as his, William impregnates Panashe without her permission. Drama unfolds, secrets are spewed and the tears flow.

Who knew that one pregnancy could cause so many mishaps and uncover so many secrets and anomalies.
True intentions and vile and surprising secrets are out in the open, all because of the deed between the two, only that they are made open after six long years.

Tracy, William Gallagher's wife feed her husband with stupid lies  in an attempt to keep him from divorcing her for Panashe. She succeeds and Panashe had to raise her child alone with hatred being thrown on her by the other slaves, she lost everything Master Gallagher, Elliot, her mother, everything. Why? For the sake of a child she didn't ask for, for being a fool to trust William and for being stupid enough to fall for her rapist and man handler.

Fate brings them back together again after a miserably long, pain filled six years.

But.........

Will she let William in again?

Will they ever be able to be together?

Is it all too much to bear with all the deepest and most hurtful secrets exposed?

Will their child ever see William as a father after deserting them?

Well you have to read to satisfy your curiosity, won't you?

Master Gallagher is a completely thrilling novel and will keep you hooked on it. The plot of the story is amazing and touches so many different subjects.

The first few chapters may feel boring and maybe lacking finesse but give it a chance because its just the first few ones that are like that.

WARNING🚫: Master Gallagher has mature content so if you do not read books with smut please do not bother.

Overall Master Gallagher is an amazing book and makes you feel like you just stepped back in time a few hundred years back and this is all thanks to its amazing author Antonette Liebermann. Its hard enough writing books in our own day and age not to talk of writing a book a few hundred years back and making it feel historical and ancient. Antonette is an author with skill and precision.

Add it to your libraries and reading list and trust me you won't regret it.
