Interview For Lovechild777: Blood Sucker
Question One: What inspired you to create Blood Sucker?
A: Well, I actually got inspired by writing Blood Sucker because I was watching this one show and I really liked the antagonist in that show. From that antagonist, I just got this idea of a book with an evil, heartbroken villain who wanted revenge and from there, I built on to the plot and created this book.
Question Two: What was the purpose of the story?
A: Well, the purpose of the story was that I basically wanted to create something fun and enjoyable for people to read whilst also trying to improve my writing and the story itself. I also created it because I felt like vampires were always portrayed in one light so I wanted to write a book that was different from that.
Question Three: Is there anything interesting about the development of the story?
A: As you read further on, you start to unravel a lot more hidden secrets about the plot itself and the characters. Some of them are really sad but then there are also really interesting ones that you didn't see coming. I think that's how everything just slowly starts to fall into place and you piece the clues together.
Question Four: In terms of characters, how were you able to find personalities for them? Also, did any outside influences affect the characters in terms of personality?
A: Well, this is a difficult one because I know my antagonist was inspired by that one antagonist in that other show. The rest of my characters, however, I just sort of came up with. For me, I basically used the plot and came up with characters that would fit well with the storyline. As time went on, I started getting critiques on my book and other people also helped me with the characters as well.
Question Five: How do you personally feel about the book and is there anything you wish more knew about?
A: Personally, I'm very proud of book and how it's shaping out to be. Of course it's my first proper book and so I'm bound to be happy with it but I think that I've managed to create an entertaining read. Also, for me, I wish that more people would understand that there are two sides to every character and that no matter how the character would seem like on the outside, you don't truly know their past and everything that they've done.
Question Six: What was it about the show that drove you to create the series?
A: Well, I really liked how at every turn, there was a new mystery and secret to unravel and it was all very suspenseful and action packed all at the same time. I guess that I really liked that aspect about it and I really wanted to create something like that of my own which I could sort of share with other people.
Question Seven: Any fun facts about the story, its characters, and early thoughts?
A: This is actually a hard one because I don't really remember that early stage of the book. However, I do remember that originally, it was just meant to be a story about the antagonist and her whole experience and journey and it was just meant to be this really dark, romantic kind of book. I'm so glad that I did change that though because as much as my readers do like the antagonist, I feel like a whole book centered about her would be a bit too much.
Question Eight: Any real life author or writer you've looked up to?
A: Well, I don't really have a proper author that I look up to but like, I really like Cassandra Clare and her books since her writing is very clean and polished and professional. I also love the way she writes emotions and different scenes in her books.
Extra Information: N/A (But I received a thank you)
I get it, I'm late. Well there's a perfect excuse, since school was starting up again, I had to start focusing on my new chapters. I can't promise that the order in which I post these interviews will be consistent but I can try, right?
Also if you were a fan of the series or at least enjoying it, I am extremely sorry to tell you that the author has announced that he/she is going on hiatus, the author has already deleted the stories if you check his/her page.
Whether it was caused by social media or problems with family, I feel as if help is always there though sometimes it just isn't enough. Do what you have to do, have a relaxing hiatus.
