When liann_blackstarrr asked me to check out her book, I was immediately excited to read a Christmas story during the Christmas season. Straight from the start of the story I was thrown into the world of Christmas and that feeling of holiday joy, and I knew this story was going to be a good one. I liked the immediate character development of the main characters parents, and you could tell who they were as people. The author wrote with amazing descriptions and imagery, allowing me to really see the story in my head as I read through. There was only a small portion of the story where it was a bit repetitive, but I was still able to continue reading without having to go over it a million times in my head. There were also rarely any errors throughout this story, making it enjoyable for me to read. The author was able to twist my emotions throughout the story, something that some authors can never dream of doing. I loved the relationship between the children and Mary, and found it charming and cute. Even though I do love this, I also admire how much the children adore and love their parents, despite not seeing them often. When the family goes to the mechanics house, I loved the way the author brings about the rich verses the poor, especially during the holidays. I love the poor children's bluntness and curiosity, because it shows the contrast between the two families even more. Many people forget about the less fortunate during the holidays, and I feel like this story really brought out the true meaning of Christmas and was the most heartwarming story I've read in awhile. If I were to describe it, I would say when you're watching a feel-good movie, and you just get this warm feeling in your heart and you just feel pure happiness because the movie was so sweet, that's this story. I strongly recommend reading liann_blackstarrr 's short story A Christmas Tale, and I hope you enjoy reading about the true meaning of Christmas as much as I did.
