How did I end up buying this book? When I didn't like the previous one?

The answer is simple: I brought them as a combo, had to only pay one third of the price. Which is a steal deal, not denying it. But was it worth it at the end of the day?

Unlike 'it starts with us' the second book is about romance & a little backstory on the life of Atlas. This book was more of a modern romance story, which is not really my cup of tea.

The way Lily was fighting off her feelings for Atlas, wasn't making sense. The author, clearly shows us they were meant to be but wanted to add some twists & turns which only made the story unnecessarily long.

And Atlas looks like a Greek god! Which wasn't mentioned on the first book, the first book portrayed Ryle as the real deal—good job, good family & good looks. Atlas looked like the second choice but everything changes in this book. Atlas isn't not only good looking but he's everything a girl could dream of & he now owns two high end restaurants.

The thing I dislike about this book is the letters again 😶 & how Lily let Atlas read her journals & then Atlas gets this grand idea to write Lily letters himself. Which I didn't find cute.

Maybe, I'm giving too much away 🌚 but lastly "it is my wish for you to be my fish" jeez! Who even says that to a bride on her wedding day?

Anyway I rate this book a minus ➖ because seriously in my honest opinion, it shouldn't have existed. I'm sorry to say that.

Labyrinth by Taylor Swift defines the relationship of Lily & Atlas. And even though I wasn't a fan of the book, I ship them as a couple :)
