I brought this book during a sale on Amazon after seeing the five stars reviews. I wasn't a fan of the cover because I do judge a book by its cover (sorry not sorry) but the title of the book was really catchy—seven husbands? That'll be a story.

When I first started reading it, I had no idea about the plot because I didn't google it & I'm glad I didn't because this story takes an interesting turn. The author had narrated Evelyn's story in such a way, that the readers can understand why she did what she did. She was only trying to survive in an unforgiving world that she forgot to live.

Even though a dazzling movie star, her life behind the lens wasn't as perfect as it seems. The sacrifices & struggles Evelyn had to go through to climb to the top, makes one realise that—money & fame is not everything in life.

The story doesn't revolve around the seven husbands but instead, it revolves around Evelyn which I appreciated as a reader.

The book wasn't as interesting as I thought it'd be, it felt kind of slow & stretched in some parts but I really like how it turned out in the end :)

I'd rate this book three & half stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ because in my opinion, it could have been better as Taylor is such a good writer & I'd like to read more of her works.

I read somewhere that they're making a movie or series on Evelyn Hugo & I'm excited 😉

Young & beautiful by Lana Del Rey, really catches the aesthetics of this book & the lavish life of Evelyn Hugo, so I'd love to dedicate this song to her.
