Opinion:

I have to say, when I first read it, it felt like I was reading a novel by a professional writer. The way how you detailed everything and the way it was smoothly transitioned was perfect.

I had read your beginning notes where you wanted to have some critiques on how you can improve your writing, but I want to apologize. I never took a creative writing class or something like that. I am an amateur. I just write stories for fun, so I can't really help in that field. However, I can recommend it to those who do read this book review!

I loved how well you developed the characters so far! My favorite is Sam. The way how you described their actions made me like them even more!

I also noticed that you mentioned about other judges and reviewers writing a hate comment about your main character, Mateo. That is stinky.

I feel that whether you hate or love a character, judging character development is based on how well you express the personalities of those certain characters, which you did an excellent job of.

I hate some characters in some books and sometimes wish the author would randomly make a death scene for them, but it isn't like I hate the book just for that. It all matters how we'll they are introduced and stable with the personality they start out with (not meaning that they can't change, but more of not an abrupt out of the blue change).

I also noticed on one of your board messages you mentioned about how your book is underappreciated. I agree that most people's works are underappreciated. However, that isn't only with Wattpad, but with the rest of the story world.

(I am going to make another rant right now, so feel free to just leave if you don't want to hear it, lol. Also if you like the Star Wars, Marvel, etc. series, you might want to leave because I'll be raging about them.)

So this world is full of people who like the same thing. One example is the Marvel series. For some reason every time I watched one movie, it felt like I was watching the same movie, just with different actors. It wasn't the original "ooh cool superhero" feeling anymore. It felt like they just want to milk the series since everyone likes it so much. Same with Starwars and others.

Rather than making a whole new idea of a movie, they make rewrites. However, sometimes some movies have a great idea and should be more appreciated than it is. But of course, society doesn't work that way. They trash over those movies and watch reruns.

So, don't worry about being underappreciated. Most authors are. Even if people leave your story and stop reading it, continue. You are writing the story for yourself and those who enjoy it and stayed for the whole ride. Your writing is fine, and screw those judges and reviewers who bully you for making an annoying character. Those types of people deserve to go somewhere else (tried to stay pg).

Continue writing, please! And from what I read, you don't need to fix anything. The story is perfect and interesting.
