Next up: Unruly by mtanoia !

I know, I know, it's another Peter Parker fanfiction, but this one is just different.

The story follows the author's OC named Rhea. She's pretty cool and develops this dark side that kind of reminds me of Venom.

When I read this story, I was expecting it to be just another Peter Parker fic with lots of fluff and teen romance. And while there is some chemistry between Peter and Rhea, it is not the main focus of the story. Instead of being this quirky teen romance, Unruly is truly something unexpected in all the best ways.

Nothing felt forced about this book. While there were moments that I was a little confused, as I kept reading it started making sense and clicked. I have never seen a story like this one before. Usually Peter fics are light-hearted, and even though this one definitely takes on a darker tone, the author makes it work wonderfully.

I would say that this book is different than other Peter Parker fics, but I've already said that a bunch already. (Because it's true!)

This book really resonated with me for some reason, probably because I had never seen a character in a Peter fic like Rhea before. The mix of internal and external conflicts and how they correlate with each other is just *chef's kiss*. The author really knows how to write internal struggles realistically.

Fun fact: Unruly inspired me to write my book Light in the Dark. I don't know if any of you have read it, but the main character in that book, my OC Alani, has a darker side as well. I did not steal Rhea's character in any way, but I would be lying if I said that she did not inspire some of Alani's traits.

I don't want to spoil anything, but the ending . . . let's just say that I did not see that coming.

If you are looking for a Peter Parker fic that stands out amongst other Peter fics, I highly recommend reading Unruly.
