Bellamy Blake, as you all know, is a baby that must be protected (even tho he's a muscular man who is more than capable of protecting himself and has even done it before multiple times).

I could go on and on, but I won't explain my undying love for Bellamy Blake here since this is a review of the book The Burning and not a rant about the best Blake sibling (I SAID IT OKAY FIGHT ME).

The Burning by theaeden  is a masterpiece.

I have read it at least three times and still haven't gotten bored of the story or the OC that the author pairs Bellamy with. Unlike most The 100 fanfictions, Bellamy's love interest isn't one of the 100 prisoners, she's a grounder whose first love isn't actually Bellamy but is her beloved katana. Quinn (the OC) has her own plot and backstory that not only fit with The 100 series storyline but actually low-key makes it more interesting. And that's really saying something because the series is already super interesting.

Quinn is the female lead in this story. She is powerful, kinda scary sometimes, and is downright amazing. (Good job, author!)

Quinn isn't the only OC in this book. Her whole family and some other grounders are original characters the author created. Each one fits right into the story like a puzzle piece.

I 100% ship Bellarke, but this story makes me forget all about my OTP and root for Bellamy and Quinn. At first they don't exactly see eye-to-eye since she is a grounder and Bellamy is from the Arc and is, well, Bellamy. (You know how he was with grounders at the beginning of the series.)

The Burning has an interesting plot with subplots and a relationship readers can watch slowly grow into something beautiful.

One of my favorite things about this book is the fact that it is so different from every other Bellamy Blake fanfiction I've read (and written lol). There is so much originality and creativity in this piece of work. The author seriously put a lot of effort into this book, and it definitely shows.
