I cough, tasting the blood on my lips as I look over at Kai. Oh, God. He looks awful. His neck is at terrible angle. I try to lean over to help him, screaming as pain flares in my left arm. It's definitely broken. I take a chance and look down at it. MOTHERF- All right Nick, breathe, panicking does nothing for anyone. Using my right arm, I undo my seat belt and do the same for Kai. I try to open the door, only to find its jammed shut. Of course, nothing in life is easy. I turn in my seat, hissing in agony at the movement of my arm. I start kicking the door until it swings open. I get out, dragging Kai's unconscious corpse with me. Again, I hiss as I feel a pain in my ribs. God damn it. Really?! I start to call the 911 before my phone is shot out of my hand. I don't even have time to wonder why no one ran outside at the sound of the explosion or who shot my phone, before a dart hits me in the neck. I lose all feeling and control of my body. As everything fades to black, I see two figures walking over to me and Kai. Shit.

Two hours later

I wake up, looking around groggily. My eyes land on two blobs. As my vision cleared I realize that they're girls. But what really caught my eye were the giant wings on one's back. The other looked normal enough, that is until she looked at me and went into a primal state. And I mean the full package. I'm talking slits for pupils, long fangs, and literal claws for fingertips. "Now now Lorelei", the winged one says, holding her back. "They've done nothing wrong. Not yet." She turns to me. "Well well, awake, are we Mister Wilson? You and your friend Mister Flynn gave us quite the scare. We didn't know if you'd ever wake up. But I knew you two would pull through, which means..." She turned to Lorelei, who groans and hands her a stack of cash. "Now then", she says, returning her attention to me. "As we've already explained to your friend, we are going to make you extraordinary. You will be what every man wishes to be", she smiles. Lorelei jumps in, smirking evilly. "Like us! But it's gonna hurt, more than you can possibly imagine." She leaned in close to my ear. "And I'm gonna enjoy every second of it." I swallow my fear and find the courage to speak. "Wh-where's Kai?" "Oh your friend?", Lorelei, grins, showing her fangs. "He woke up a while ago. Gave me some attitude, so I had to rough him up a bit." I turn my head to look at Kai. He has scratches all over his face and body, but he's fine, mouthing off to some buff looking security guards. I turn back to Lorelei. "You're lucky he's fine", I growled. "And if he wasn't?", Lorelei responds, a hint of challenge in her voice. "I'd find a way to beat the escape and beat the crap outta you", I spit. Lorelei turns to the winged one. "Can I now, Alyssa?" Alyssa nods. "Go crazy." Lorelei snarls and leaps at me. The last thing I hear is Kai screaming.
