My name is Srijita (although many love to call me Maya) and I am a typical Bengali who loves fish and rice. I have graduated with a chemistry degree, which is why my characters get so sizzling. But now I am trying to go to the finance sector. Life trajectory is insane.

PREMISE

It is the marriage of Aryamna, the Senapati of Ishgar and a secret vampire, arranged by Rajan Rudra. The bride is a woman named Ishvara who suffers from severe amnesia and keeps it a secret. Indumala, the sixteen year old adopted daughter of Aryamna is happy that finally her father will get a companion.

But when Aryamna sees Ishvara, the truth becomes clear to him– she isn't an ordinary woman but his long lost love, the forgotten princess of Ishgar. As he tries to make her remember the past and rebuild things, the badass Rajan Rudra must explore his own sweet and sour relationship with bodyguard Indumala. Both men have got a second chance at love, and both women have returned from the clutches of death. Will the Four be finally happy or the past come to haunt them?

"Stop with your fake humility, Indumala." Rudra grabbed her forearm and pulled her to face him, an ancient fire blazing in his eyes. "Do better than this. You are not here to pity these useless souls whose lives don't matter to even your so-called great Shiva." He was fuming like a bull. His chest heaved up and down, blood rushing to his ears.

"At least spare Shiva."

"I am no less than a god, Indumala. Maybe even more."

Indumala looked at the part where he held her. His fingers dug into her skin, leaving a mark that she wouldn't forget even if it would vanish after a day. She narrowed her eyes at him. "Leave me."

"Don't order me."

"Does it anger you when I spit on your ego?"

"Indumala!" Rudra's ebony eyes turned scarlet with wrath. The wolf inside of him was ready to pounce at her. He wanted to teach her a lesson. She was stubborn, ill-mannered and rebellious. He wanted to banish her away from the palace and tell Aryamna that he had reared a hopeless daughter who could never match his glorious deeds.

He pressed on her arms, watching her wince. She ought to be punished for the impudence.

What happened next was something he didn't expect.

The exact burning sensation, the same brutal pain gushed through his arm. He left her hand in one go and clutched the throbbing region, cursing under his breath. Indumala and the servant watched in utter surprise. Rudra eyed Indumala from the corner of his vision. "Di-did you use magic on me?"

INTERVIEW

1. How did you start writing on Wattpad?

Fanfiction, haha! A friend from school told me I'll find Fairy Tail fanfiction here, and also be able to share my poetry. This was in 2019, but I began to properly write books in 2020, thanks to the encouraging community <3

2. What was the inspiration for your submitted book? If you could describe your story in only three words, what would they be?

My inspiration was Shiva and Sati, their story of love and reincarnation. One will see the parallel drawn with Rudra and Indumala. And the urge to write a pure Indian Fantasy was a catalyst! If I had to describe my story in three words, they would be – Royal, Romance, Redemption. 

3. Which details or scenes in your submitted book are most unique and interesting to you?

I'll add a few. Firstly, the cannibalism scene. Because if I am writing werewolf, I must add the darker aspects of it. It was a very nauseous scene lol, but a werewolf will remain a werewolf. In relation to this paranormal thing, it was also important for me to present immortality as a curse because honestly, it's better to die with your beloved than to be cursed to live forever in her memories. It's so cruel! Then I love my slowburn romance. No rush, no force. Just love getting a second chance– Indumala reincarnating to put some sense into Rudra, and Ishvara coming back from her eternal slumber to turn the harsh Senapati into a pookie <3

4. If you were a character in your story, which one would you be and why?

Had you asked me this in 2020, I would have said Rudra. But now, I realised I am evolving into Indumala. The carefree, crazy girl who loves without shame and is loyal like a lion. Sometimes this kindness costs her, like it costs me too. Both of us would connect to a certain line from the song Main Albeli (from movie Zubeida I think). The line can be translated as– you are crazy, because you run and smile holding a glass mirror in the land of stones. I wonder what my readers think me as though XD.

5. Do you intend to write another action book in the future? What advice would you give to other writers who wish to try writing as well?

I am already writing more action romance and crime books XD. I would love to do more! Another crime one definitely. To writers who wish to write action, get into your blood and gore mood. Listen to music while pouring in your character's anger on the screen. Read articles on ancient warfare and weapons. Imagine the scene in your head as if it's a classic Bollywood stunt scene. Good to go, Chief!
