"The Seven Wonders of The Ancient World! Ever heard of them?" The Doctor dashed around the console, flipping switches, and turning knobs.

"Well, yeah. Of course." Your eyes followed him, twinkling with excitement for where you might go next, but confusion at his question furrowed your eyebrows.

"Right. So, The Twelve Wonders of the Universe? Heard of those, have you?"

"Um... No, I can't say that I have." You chuckled, loving the mystery that he always had right before you went on another adventure.

"Great! 'Cause that's a trip worth taking! Now, Y/N, Allons-y!" With the yank of a lever, the TARDIS took off, throwing you off balance. Fortunately, though, you were prepared this time and grasped onto the console to keep yourself upright. Finally, when you landed, you uncurled your fingers from their spot and followed the Doctor's fluttering coat. 

He opened the doors.

You gasped.

You spent however long it was, visiting twelve of the greatest spots in the universe. It was amazing. The views were awe inspiring. And as always, he was wonderful.

Currently, the two of you sat at the edge of the TARDIS with its doors open, staring at an exploding supernova that clashed with a forming nebula, somehow frozen in time (The Doctor tried to explain how it had frozen, but you only understood maybe ten percent of it.) to create one of the most breathtaking views in space. Unfortunately, this was the last Wonder on the list. But you didn't want the trip to end yet. So you leaned your head against the Doctor's shoulder, listening to him talk about the Twelve Wonders and how they came to be called that. Once he finished, you looked up at him, smiling.

"What?" He asked, looking down at you, wondering why you had a funny look on your face. You continued to smile and explained, "You know, these Wonders truly are beautiful. There's no doubt about that. But do you know what the Greatest Wonder in the Universe is, Doctor?"

"No, I can't say that I do. What is the Greatest Wonder in the Universe, Y/N?" He smiled and played along, curious about where you were going with this. Your face became serious as you stared into his eyes, wondering how he might react to what you were about to do. Your stomach churned and a small voice screamed at you not to do it, but another small voice screamed at you that this was the best time. Taking a deep breath, you forced down the fear and leaned forward. 

Your lips connected with his.

For a moment, the Doctor's shock kept him from moving, let alone kissing back. You pulled away, embarrassment at your brashness making your whole body heat up, not just your cheeks. You wanted to melt into the floor and disappear when you saw his face.

"I-I'm sorry Doctor! I'm so, so sorry! I don't know what came over me!" You bumbled through apologies and excuses, hoping he wouldn't take you home. You may have just screwed up the best thing that had ever happened to you. 

You attempted to stand, wanting to run away from the whole thing, but the Doctor grabbed your hand. Before you could do anything else, he grabbed your face and kissed you back. 

The kiss exploded with passion, like the supernova and nebula in front of you, the experienced alien moving his lips against yours in fervor, making your heart pound. And like the scene before you, you hoped it stayed frozen like that for all eternity. But unlike supernovas and nebulas, you eventually had to breathe. 

Pulling away, you stared at the Doctor in awe. After catching his breath, he asked, "Now what was that about the Greatest Wonder in the Universe?"

A smile snuck onto your face, lighting up your (e/c) eyes as you replied, "Love. The Greatest Wonder of the Universe is Love."
