•LONDON• DAYS 3-7

•DAY 3•
After arriving at Will's Uncle's flat, and unpacking our stuff, Will's Uncle took us to one of the big red buses that tour around London. It was fascinating! Learning about many of the historical buildings around. Did you know that at the entrance and exit of London there's a statue of a dragon?! Sounds like my kind of city, haha.

We got off at the Tower of London (which isn't a single tower as I thought) and learned about the history of many of the prisoners and conditions of the fortress when it was in use.
The Crown Jewels were also housed there. They were so beautiful! I wish I could've taken photos but taking pictures wasn't allowed. But it was great to see them in real life and learning about their history. Some of the swords looked like they were taken right out of Narnia!
When we were looking at Queen Victoria's jewels, my sister teased me if I would ever where something like that. She was pointing to a little crown Victoria had worn during the funeral for her late husband Prince Albert. I said no, though very pretty it was covered in diamonds and didn't look very comfortable.

After an ice cream break, we hopped back on the bus and finished the rest of the Tour of London before heading back to the flat for the night.

•DAY 4•
We awoke later this day, but we still got to take some great pictures at Buckingham Palace (those guards are a strange lot, but I do love their outfits!)
We walked around and stopped at the nearby St James Park for a while. The weather was lovely, and there was even a small lake with some cute little ducks!

(Will tried to pet one of them and it almost bit him XD)

•DAY 5•
On this day we when to go visit my Dad's close friend Nancy who'd moved to London.

•DAY 6•
We got to her house pretty late so we went to bed right after. In the morning after her husband and kids left for the day, she took us to an open air market in Camden. There were so many shops! I got a sweater there that says "Snuggle this Muggle" 😂.
There was even a HP themed shop and an Anime/Manga Shop!!! Will went full weeb it was hilarious, and we fangirled/fanboyed over all the anime things from shows we'd watched. We were having a great time looking at the manga before my sister practically dragged us out so we could find something to get my Mom.
When we got back to her flat we all rested for about an hour then she drove us to her sister's, who'd invited us over for a small cookout they were having. The food was good, and I finally got to watch Doctor Who!!! Before we left her son James, he's cousin Laurence and I were talking about it. Laurence was gushing about how much he loved David Tennant as the Doctor the best.
And we also talked about Sherlock and my favorite shows of all time, Merlin!

That was probably the best day, ever!

•DAY 7•
We wake to a lovely morning that day. The sun was shining and I was eager to go to Church (I got to visit an English church!! The building was so cool) which was great. the people were so warm and kind, they welcomed us right in as if we'd always been there. I had an interesting conversation with a woman from Congo! We most talked about languages and I learned that she spoke her native diligent, French and some Mandarin Chinese which was really cool. She even gave me some tips on French since its my dream language to learn (plus Latin and Hebrew) but I'm forced to take Spanish at my school since that's the only language they offer. (Whoo! Wait ago American public school! *note sarcasm*)

Later, we walked up Primrose Hill and saw practically the whole city! It was beautiful, but so windy up there. While we strolled through London to get back to the car, James and I had chatted and joked about how expensive the flats were in that area.
We just chilled out at their home for the rest of the day. The guys played Mario Cart while my sister watch Netflix. I was reading on Wattpad (hehe). James's brother Jonathan totally wiped the floor with me when I went against him in Mario... but mined you it's been like 4 years since I've even use Wii, plus I'm near-sighted so yeahhhh. But it was still so fun though even if I lost, lol.

A.N.: So many things here are named after Queen Victoria here! Like Victoria Station, Victoria St., etc. Which is great, but it really tripped me up the first couple days because whenever someone mentioned something with the name "Victoria" I'd always think they were talking to me, haha.

Bye lovely readers! 👑 🇬🇧
