1. This is about a warriors character
2. This is gonna get kinda deep so beware

Darkleaf, I have to say, is one of my favorite characters that I have made so far. Her backstory is quite depressing, but she doesn't become 'my life sucks so I'll kill you all' and all that. In fact, she goes through a depressed phase but grows happier as time goes on.

To make sure everyone knows how things simply went on and why her backstory is depressing:
•Darkleaf lost her sister, Dandelionkit, due to greencough while they were still young kittens (Dandelionkit also happened to be the weakest of them)
•Swiftpaw died during her apprentice days, due to a Monster crashing into him (they had an argument and he decided to try and scare her, so she saw him die before her eyes)
•Her father, Snowfur, left out of fear while she was an apprentice
•Her mother, Freckletail, died of starvation soon after Darkleaf became a warrior

Now, I kinda relate to Darkleaf, but the cats she lost represent some things I lost due to my epilepsy (well, at first, but we'll get to that later). Here is what they represent:

•Dandelionkit - patience
•Swiftpaw - confidence
•Snowfur - plans for future
•Freckletail - will to live

Just like Darkleaf, I fell into a depressive state quickly. I didn't want to get up, I didn't feel like trying, and I didn't want to be around others. I sometimes had questioned on the idea of just...dying.

Darkleaf faced these times and struggled throughout life, and struggled to find a reason to continue trying. We both don't know what the reason was.

But, like me, Darkleaf began to grow happy. She let the invisible weights fall off of her shoulders, and so did I. I regained what I had lost, and Darkleaf looks forward to seeing them one day, even in dreams.

I see Darkleaf as a very personal character. I hope I described her correctly.
