Chinese? Heck No!
I remember how in elementary and middle school, people would assume I'm Chinese. A lot of the Spanish speaking children would call me "china", which I guess is Spanish slang for Chinese girl. Glob dang, it's really annoying when people do that. I remember that I'd have to often correct people that I'm half Japanese and half Filipino. There was only one person who assumed I wasn't Chinese, but Japanese. She was half correct, but it really brought a lot of joy when she didn't guess I was Chinese. ;w; She has an amazing life story and I met her at a field trip to the local Tolerance museum that's dedicated to the Holocaust survivors. I'll discuss it in a later chapter.
By the way, I'm curious if any of you are know Tagalog. I'm already learning Japanese independently (I could ask my mom and grandparents to teach me, but they're too busy), so I could teach all of you some of the stuff I learn. Thank you for reading and have a great day/night~! ^_^
