Yes. It's another Solangelo oneshot. Or twoshot? I don't know. I think I'll make a book just for this. And if you wanted to know, yes, Beatrice forced me to write this one as well.

Superhero AU:

The Ghost King was an infamous supervillain. He had the power to raise the dead, talk to ghosts, and manipulate the shadows. He stole, murdered, and manipulated people. No one dared oppose him. Everyone knew he was powerful.

What they didn't know was that he was an orphaned emo teen by the name of Nico Di Angelo, going through the struggles of puberty. By himself.

He wasn't evil, despite what other people thought. He stole from people who steal, murdered people who murdered, and manipulating, well, it didn't do any harm. 

But, the famous hero Sun Archer didn't know that. And that's a problem. Nico was now being chased by another superhero with powers not lethal, but exactly the thing to defeat Ghost King. You see, he has powers over light and healing. Everyone knows that shadows cannot reside where light shines. And want to know another problem? Nico's gay and Sun Archer is hot. In more ways than one. 

But right now, Nico has other problems. Yes. Even more problems. This problem goes by the name Will Solace, Nico's roommate. Despite the fact that he's all sunshine and rainbows, he constantly gets in trouble, and comes back to their room covered in cuts and bruises. And when he's cleaning up his wounds, Nico sometimes sees his extremely well-toned body. And the cute expression he makes when he is concentrating. And his golden hair that replicates a mini-sun. And said hair that bounces up and down to imaginary music when he's cleaning himself up.

How is this a problem, you may ask? Well, if you didn't notice, Nico may have a little... crush. This is bad. The last time he had a crush, it didn't go so well. Not only did he break his heart in two, he also killed his sister. How? His sister was a hero in training. He was a fairly experienced one. He goes by the name "Tidal Wave". They were on a mission, and before they went, he promised to keep her safe. 

He broke his promise. 

Nico was so enraged that he swore to work against heroes for the rest of his life. That's how  Ghost King came to be.

They were in school right now, and Reyna, his best friend, caught him staring at Will. 

"You've got another crush, huh?" If Reyna was a normal person, then she probably would've wiggled her eyebrows. However, Reyna isn't a normal person. She is Nico's backup. She's the one that rescues Nico whenever he gets caught, but that isn't often. What she usually does is lend Nico power. 

"No I don't!" Nico grumbled, trying force his blush down.

"Sure. Whatever you say." Nico scowled. Reyna smirked.

After another tiring night of robbing banks (it was a rich people's bank, and they were horrible), Nico was more than ready to go home and collapse on his bed. But of course, he doesn't get to do that. No.

"STOP!" An arrow thudded into the wall next to him, skimming his shoulder. Anybody there heard the Ghost King swore under his breath. He ran to a corner, hoping to shadow-travel, but the Hero lit up the whole street with his glowing power thingy. 

It wasn't his fault if everybody within the city had bleeding ears. 

"Can you stop swearing?" Reyna asked through the earpiece that she insisted they had to wear. 

"Sorry." Nico muttered. 

Sun Archer used his moment of distraction to shoot another Arrow at him. He yelped and dodged. 

"Can you stop talking and help me?" He said to Reyna, exasperated. 

"I mean, I dunno, you look like your having fun." 

"Reyna!" 

Nico didn't get a reply, but he felt a surge of energy go through him. 

Sun Archer pulled out another arrow and nocked it, preparing to shoot. Nico, or rather Ghost King, brought out his black sword. 

The Ghost King sliced arrow after arrow out of the air, while trying to reach the shadows. 

"You know, if you harm his arm, then he wouldn't be able to shoot you. And I dunno, you'll be able to get away." Reyna, after a few minutes of watching them fight on the rooftop, finally decided to help her friend out. 

"You could've said that earlier." Nico replied, disgruntled.

The Ghost King suddenly changed to offensive and ran forward, dodging arrows as he went. He tried to slash at the Hero, but the Hero used his bow and blocked it. It seemed that his bow was harder than normal ones. They fought back and fourth, with the Hero parrying and the Villain attacking. To onlookers, Ghost King was winning. The people who were spectating through the windows started worrying about their Oh so brave Hero. 

The Ghost King, annoyed, brought his sword down with more strength than usual. Gasps ran through the crowd that accumulated. Sun Archer's bow had snapped in two. The Hero tossed looked at the now useless bow in his hands. The Ghost King chose that moment to strike, and cut a gash in the Hero's arm. Nico winced. He supposed he didn't have to do that, but from previous experiences, Heroes always has back up. And he didn't want to break a bow just to have Sun Archer pull out another.

The onlookers were scared that the Villain was going to kill their beloved Hero but to their surprise, and relief, he ran instead.

Nico had ran two streets across and shadow-traveled into his room. He breathed a sigh of relief. 

"You ok?" He heard Reyna ask. 

"Yeah fine. I'm in my bedroom." He replied.

"I'm going home now. Remember to give me the earpiece tomorrow. Bye." Nico heard an audible click, signalling that Reyna had turned off the device (I have no idea how these works.)

He flopped onto his bed and was prepared to sleep when he heard the door creak open and someone cursing. 

He walked out from his room.

And there was a sight that stopped him dead.
