Most of the time they are midteen to early twenties, think they are ugly but aren't and reluctant to be the chosen one

Instead why not try a woman in seventies, wheel chair bound and can't wait to save the world. You could have her two teen grandchildren as sidekicks

That took me 10 seconds to come up, don't be afraid to try something different.

The Soulmate

I feel we have read one of these books at some point so I don't need to explain.

A world where you only meet your soulmate on the day you both die or when you meet them one loses their hearing and the other their sight.

Vampire Origin Stories

9/10 it usually has to do with Dracula or the devil or both.

• God sent vampires to wipe out mankind or mother nature because they are destroying the world.

• A drug that changed people

• Everyone in village is born with a twin, one human and the other vampire after a witch cursed them when they killed one of her twin son's and the other went at the lost of his brother.

Just be creative.

Werewolves

99% of the genre is one massive walking cliché and it shouldn't be there are so many inventive things that can be done to make it original

A simple one is instead of moonlight being the thing that makes them shift sunlight or one of the elements could work.

You could have four packs, each one worshiping a different element and the colour of the fur as the symbol of that pack

Is this still a little cliché yes, so  here ones that aren't

Mini ideas

• Grief turns people into werewolves but only a specific type like a parent losing a child or instead of grief jealousy.

• Alpha and Omega or Beta or any ranking ect anyway an omega can become an alpha by draining the soul of the leader of the pack.
