Chapter 3: Elizabeth

Disclaimer: I do not own Black Butler

Charlotte's POV

I woke up earlier than I expected. Just kidding, I always wake up at eight o' clock.

I got to the bathroom and bathe myself. Who said all princesses have helpers while taking a bath? That is not entirely true, as I am bathing myself alone.

After I finished, I wore a light blue dress up to the knees and my crown. Yes, mother made me bring my crown. She says it was part of my training. That heavy thing...

As I fix my hair into a bun, I heard Meyrin enter the room.

"Oh! Your awake already! And dressed, too!" She exclaimed. I smiled at her.

"Can you please fix my hair?" I asked in my cutesy voice.

"Y-Yes, I will!" Meyrin answered and quickly took hold of my black hair. I giggled a little.

~~~~~~~~~~
Right after fixing my hair, Meyrin escorted me to the dining room for breakfast.
"Miss, are you actually the princess?!" Meyrin exclaimed, dumbfounded I think. I smiled again.
"Yes I am!" I chirped and ran to the dining room leaving her frozen there at the corridor. As I ran inside the dining room, I saw Ciel at the table.
"No running around the mansion," Ciel said. "You are here to be a fine lady. Ladies do not run inside a mansion, outside too even."
"Sorry, but children also have the right to have fun," I retorted stubbornly, folding my arms as I sat on my chair.
Sebastian served the dishes and we both ate. As we were eating, a blonde girl burst into the room. She has green eyes and pretty blonde hair, wearing frilly pink dress. She looks familiar.
She ran to Ciel and hugged him tightly. "Ciel! I miss you!" She squealed.
"E-Elizabeth! I told you to send me a letter if ever you are visiting!" Of course! Elizabeth! How can I ever forget her?
"I told you to call me Lizzy," She scolded, probably not paying attetion to what Ciel was telling her. I giggled. Elizabeth turned her attention to me.
"Oh! She is so cute! Who is she, Ciel?" Elizabeth squealed and hugged me.
"Get off her, Elizabeth. That is Emily Charlotte, the princess." Ciel introduced me.
"C-Ciel... A-Air..." I tried to say.
"Elizabeth, get off her! She cannot breathe!" Ciel told Elizabeth. She released me and I dropped to the floor panting.
"Sorry, your highness!" Elizabeth apologizedand bowed. I stood up after a while and smiled at her as I asked her to stand up.
"It's okay. Don't you remember me, Elizabeth?" I asked her. She looked at me confused. Ciel cleared his throat.
"She is Emily Charlotte Cunnington," Ciel said trying to make Elizabeth remember. She still looks at us confused. I sighed.
"Charly," I said plainly. She seems to understood because her face brighten up and she hugged me again.
"Charly! It has been so long since we last met! I guess when we were four or five?" She asked. This time her hug was not a death hug. It was a gentle one.
"Yes, I do think so." I answered smiling. I mean, you would smile if you see your childhood friend, right? "Excuse me, I should finish my breakfastz and I do insist you call me Charlotte from now on."
"Yes, your majesty." Elizabeth answered with a smile.
~~~~~~~~~~

Okay. I am really glad that Elizabeth is here because Ciel canceled all my lessons for today! But on the other hand, Ciel and I was dragged by Elizabeth to play dress up.

"Oh! This would look cute on you Charlotte!" Elizabeth gushed while holding up a green dress with white frills that ends at the knees. It was too bright.

"Uh... Elizabeth, I think I'm fine with the black one," I suggested.

"No! Black is not cute at all! And besides, Ciel wore a yellow one!" She whined. I giggled. Ciel wearing yellow? Stop joking around, Elizabeth.

Ciel entered the room in a yellow version of his normal ones. Uh... okay. He looks ridiculous!

I laughed at Ciel who looks pissed off.

"Stop laughing!" Ciel yelled at me, blushing.

I smirked. "Oh, so you dare to yell at the princess?"

"Damn it..." Ciel muttered under his breath. I laughed again but was cut by Elizabeth dragging me to a room. She made me wear that green dress. Too bright! But I think I have no choice but to wear it.

I went out of the room wearing that green dress. Ciel looked at me and smirked.

"Who is laughing now, huh?" Ciel asked me.

"Oh shut up," I said, clearly not in the mood. Please, make this stop.

"Damn it..." I cursed under my breath.

~~~~~~~~~~
Finally! The blonde stop the dress up. Finally!
Elizabeth was sleeping at my bed. I giggled at how she gets tired and sleeps in anywhere she finds comfortable. Just like when we were kids.
Ciel entered my room. He carried Elizabeth out. Wow, he can actually carry someone? It does not seem like it for his frail stature.
Elizabeth was sent back to her house. It turns out that she snuck out just to go to Ciel's. That sneaky person...
I yawned. She was a ball of energy. No wonder why I am so tired right now.
I lay on my bed. It was nice to be out of the palace for a while. No one to tell me what to do. Except here, Ciel had been acting like a mother or something. Well, I can't blame him he is just following mother's orders.
Ciel changed a lot though. He used to be always smiling when my family visits their mansion. Now he is like a marionette, emotionless. I know that we went through a lot but he seems really change.
I laughed humorlessly. As if I didn't change.
