"I'm glad I met you." Naruto whispers into the phone.

"I'm glad I met you too Naruto." The girl replied from the other end of the phone.

Naruto Uzumaki was an eighteen year old boy who had fallen madly in love with a beautiful seventeen year old girl by the name of Hinata Hyuga.

The thing is, Naruto lives in Brooklyn, New York and Hinata lives all the way in Los Angles, California.

Naruto and Hinata met on a social media websit known as Instagram. He saw her picture on the explore page and thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his entire life. From her soft lavender colored eyes, to her long midnight blue hair. To her pale skin and small button nose. He had to follow her and get to know her.

Of course Naruto made the first move in contacting her and she politely replied. As the days went by the two of them began to develop a friendship.

Skeptical as to if she was a real person or not, Naruto offered to video chat. Hinata agreed. Seeing her beauty live was something that shook Naruto. From then on, it wasn't a day that went by without Hinata and Naruto talking to eachother. His friends told him that perusing her would be a waste of time.

"It's not like you're ever gonna see her." They would say. "She's thousands of miles away!"

But Naruto didn't listen. He knew in his heart that this was the woman he loved and this is the woman he wanted to be with.

Months has passed and they began sending eachother little gifts. From clothes to shoes to stuffed animals. Then one night, Naruto confessed his love to the girl.

"Hinata, I know I wasn't suppose to." He says. "But I've fallen madly in love with you and I can't stop myself from falling."

She giggled into the receiver and gave a small sigh.

"Naruto, you never fell." She says. "I caught you before you did."

The boy frowned. "Uh, what is that suppose to mean?"

Again, she giggles causing Naruto to blush.

"It means 'I love you too' Naruto."

From then on, the two have been happily dating. A whole year and a half later.

"I can't wait till I can finally wrap my arms around you and smell you." Naruto says.

"I can't wait either." Hinata replies.

The two of them fell asleep that night, dreaming of being entangled in the others embrace.

Another few months had past and Hinata's birthday was quickly approaching.

"What are you gonna do for your birthday this year?" Naruto asked as he searched the internet for possible flights to California.

Hinata, who rummaged through clothes in the Local mall, sighed.

"Well you know every year my dad takes me out to eat," She starts. "But he's inviting all of my friends which is weird. He never does that. Its always me, him, Hinabi and Neji. To have my friends there would be, I don't know, weird?"

Naruto chuckled as he typed in his card number for his flight to California. "Well I guess he figures you're old enough now and your friends should be able to be with you for your birthday."

"You think so?" She asks.

"Of course." Naruto smiled as he received the confirmation of his booking in his email.

"Hi Naruto!" He hears a voice in the background of Hinata's phone. "It's Sakura!"

"Oh hey Sakura!" Naruto says.

"I just love how my friends like you and haven't even physically met you." Hinata says to him.

"That's because I'm awesome."

"That you are." She replies.

It was Hinata's Nineteenth birthday. She stared at herself in the mirror with sad eyes. Last year Naruto was the first person to tell her "Happy Birthday". But this time around he hadn't said anything to her all day. It bothered her. The text messages that she'd usually get the second her measages were sent only got read. The calls that usually gets answered on the first or second ring, rung all the way to voicemail.

Hinata couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that her boyfriend was ignoring her on her birthday. They hadn't had an argument ever so what could be the problem? Was he cheating on her?

"No, I'm being stupid." Hinata spoke to herself as she smoothed out her peach colored dress. "He wouldn't cheat on me."

"Big sister!" Hinata's little sister Hinabi knocked on the door. "Are you ready big sister?"

Hinata sighed and slipped into her shoes. She looked herself over one more time before she grabbed her things and left with her family.

Hinata was having a really great time but she also felt like something was missing. As the table talked amongst themselves. She felt warm hands cover her eyes and the table fell eerily quite.

"W-who is this?" She asked touching their hand. "D-Dad?"

"I'm here sweetheart." Her father replies. But he wasn't the one behind her. She knew that.

"Dad, who is this?" Hinata took in a deep breath. She removed their hands from her eyes slowly and looked up seeing Naruto Uzumaki smiling down at her with those Ocean Blue eyes. Hinata was stuck.

"Na-Naruto??" She asked as she stood.

He smiled widely. "Happy Birthday Hinata."

Tears spilled from her eyes as she jumped in his arms. He caught her of course. Not even caring that she was wearing a dress, Hinata wrapped her legs around his torso as she cried uncontrollably into his neck. Naruto laughed a little. He held Hinata like they were the only two in the restaurant, calming her as she cried.

Once she was calm, he let her down and wiped away the remaining tears.

"Y-you came!" She smiles and hugs him again. "You smell so good."

Naruto runs his fingers through her stoft hair. Taking in her scent. She smelled like vanilla.

"You smell good too." He chuckled.

Later that night Naruto spent his time in the hotel room with Hinata.

"When you leave take me with you." She says snuggling into him.

"I wish I could." He says holding on to her.

"I dont want you to go." She whispers. "This long distance is killing me."

"It's killing me too. We'll be together soon. I promise."
