Cory is very strong-willed and self-sufficient. She very really need anybody else's help and she'll never be caught dead asking someone for help either. She is usually pretty laid-back and chill though. However, hurt her friends and she'll bitch slap you. She is extremely protective of her family and friends, Becks especially. She sees it as her job to make sure no one she cares for ever gets hurt and will get upset if she can't protect them. Due to this, she will often become possessive of those closest to her and make them angry with her. But, she just wants what's best for the people she loves and she'll say so too. Despite being protective, she's been known to get so enraged she'll hurt someone she loves by complete accident. Her anger goes unchecked often times and she's punched quite a few people because of that. When she's angry, she'll yell and most often she'll leave with the slam of a door. She'll come back though, and she knows she will. She's never strayed far from her friends. Because no matter how much she tells herself she's okay, she needs her friends to support her or she'll crumble.

Likes:
Cory adores Becks and loves to be around him in general. She also loves Becks' dog and will cuddle him to death if Becks doesn't stop her. She enjoys the occasional horror movie along with lounging on the couch for a lazy night in. She can also appreciate a good book and the sound of rain on windows.

Dislikes:
Cory completely dislikes rude people, or people who get in her personal space. She usually can't stand boring documentaries that just drone on for hours. She also can't handle sitting still for very long with something to occupy her attention.

Backstory:
Cory grew up in a quiet town with her parents and two younger sisters. Her mom was constantly drunk or at work to try and support the family. Her father, meanwhile, was always home as he didn't have a job. Her younger sisters, who were five years younger, were her world. She was constantly with her dad, taking care of the twins with all she had. Her father died six years after her sisters were born and it really tore their family apart. Her mom stopped going to work and sunk all their money in beer. So, at the age of eleven, she started stealing food and clothes. Her sisters suffered through abuse from their mother and when Cory was home, she too suffered. Hence, when she was fifteen, she moved her sisters and herself into a one bedroom apartment. She struggled to care for them all and took on a part time job at a department store that she had to beg for. At the age of sixteen, she let her boyfriend of six months move in. Her sisters were extremely skeptical and for the first few weeks he was there, they both slept with Cory and he had to sleep on one of the bunk beds. Once she was seventeen, she and her boyfriend both dropped out of high school and he found a job. Meanwhile, she would steal and go to work as well. One time, she came home to one of her sisters horribly beat up and the other was in tears. Her boyfriend was on drugs and alcohol and that night, she kicked him out. Life continued on until she had a car crash two months later. Her sisters, who were in the car, both died of their injuries. Cory was in the hospital for another two months and then was sent to a psychiatric unit for her severe depression and paranoia that had taken hold. That's where she meet Beckett. The two grew close within the month and half she was there, and she really did take him under her wing. She treated him like she had her younger sisters and protected him with all she had. When she got out, she immediately got a good job and rented a place. She continued to speak with, and visit, Beckett. As soon as he was released, she took him to live with her and vouched as someone who would look after him to the hospital. They've been nearly inseparable since.

Beckett McConnell 'Becks'

Personality: Beckett is extremely anti-social and dislikes being around people if he doesn't know them well. He doesn't trust anyone much anymore and likes to keep to himself. He really hates talking to new people because he stutters and can rarely complete a thought. He's afraid to make a fool of himself in public and refuses to stand in front of others and speak. He rarely gets angry but when he's frustrated he'll do his best to get away from all people, and occasionally, his friends will let him hide out at their place. His friend circle is extremely small and those he are friends with took him a long time to warm up to. However, he cares deeply for his few friends and it's likely he'd do anything for them, even step out of his comfort zone. He makes a few jokes every now and then too, he'll even get a bit flirty if he really knows and trusts them.

Likes:
Beckett adores his dog and cat and his alone time with said dog and cat. He also really likes being with Cory and just talking to her. He loves all sorts of animals and nature too. He really enjoys books and movies as well.

Dislikes:
Beckett hates loud, crashing noises along with the sound of people yelling. He can't stand crowds and you'll never catch him dead at a party or bar. He absolutely despises the smell of cigarette smoke and the smell of some strong alcoholic beverages.

Backstory: Beckett was born into a disfunctional family of seven. He had two older sisters and three older brothers. His oldest sister was seven years ahead and the other was five years. The oldest brother was four years older and the other two were only two years ahead. His mom was a homebody and rarely left the house, while his dad was the leader of a large gang and drug cartel.  His older siblings were raised to run the gang alongside his father and Beckett was to follow in their footsteps. At the young age of five, he was already out doing drug runs with his father and his eldest sister. He was raised to be cruel and cunning, which he was. He was feared by most kids in his town and no one dared mess with him. He was ruthless, getting in trouble with the cops even in middle school. He was kicked out of high school a week after it started and his father beat him for it. His mother just stood by and watched with no remorse as Beckett got the living shit beat out of him. Beckett grew more angry after that and was soon landed in a hospital after a horrible knife fight in which he nearly died. He fell into a depressed state after that, which only worsened as his mom died. He fell into self-destructive habits and ran around doing different drugs. He was constantly with someone new every night and he ran away from home at the age of nineteen. He never went back but one of his younger brothers contacted him a few months later to check on him. He never heard from any of his family again after that. When he was twenty one he found himself in an abusive relationship. He stayed with the guy for two years before leaving once he had broken his arm and three ribs. Another year went by and he attempted suicide on his twenty-third birthday. It was a failed attempt and he was quickly placed in the psychiatric ward where he stayed until he was twenty six. He met Cory in that ward and he thinks that she's the best thing thats ever happened to him.

Tattoos:
One tattoo is on the side of his right forearm, of black birds flying and under them in an elegant cursive is the word 'Breathe'.

This tattoo is one his father had put on him when he was twelve, to show he was a gang member. Instead of flowers, the skull is wrapped in thorns. It's rather small and placed at the base of his neck.

His dog is named Ziggy while his cat is named Mr. Crumbs.
