Okay, as I doubt most of you know, there are 2 canonically transgender characters in Boku no Hero. So stop it with all the stupid "trans Deku"/"trans Bakugou"/"trans Kaminari"/"trans Kirishima"/etc. headcanons. Besides, there is no excuse you can use to weasel out of it with "canon" facts. I looked it up myself. In America, you have to be 18 to have a legal gender reassignment surgery, even if you do have parental consent. Also, I looked it up myself, in Japan, you have to be at least 20 and must go through irreversible sterilization surgery (meaning getting a vasectomy or your tubes removed). Also, you have to be unmarried and must go through reassignment surgery to have your gender legally changed.

Anyway, on to the canon trans characters. Did you ever wonder why there's only one male Pussycat? That's because he used to be a she.

This is a canon page of the manga. Horikoshi told us he is "formerly female" and has also shown what he used to look like as a woman. The other trans character is a villain that attacked the training camp.

Her name is Magne, and she's also been confirmed to be trans. She attacked a Pro and refused to be his subordinate, and chose to join the League of Villains to live life the way she wanted. Also, the quirk description in the manga says "Men become "south poles" and women become "north" poles." She's also referred to as a man for never being able to go through fully with the transformation.

I'm saying this because y'all are actually completely ignoring the canon trans characters Horikoshi gave us and completely embracing Deku wearing a binder (despite having seen him shirtless multiple times) as almost a canon fact. And we've all seen the chapters on Kirishima's backstory and know for a fact he has never been a girl at any point in his life. The closest he would probably get to that is bottoming, since we're all pretty sure he has a thing for angry Pomeranian boy.

And before you say "oh let people have their opinions" "It's just a headcanon" "they're just living their lives"; take into account the fact that you decided to take a headcanon and treat it like fact without even knowing that these characters were trans. I get that you wouldn't pay much attention to them since they weren't really there for long, but still, at least say something about these characters being a step in the right direction towards trans representation. And please, don't make it about a trans adult supporting one of the headcanon-trans kids. At least make something about them as kids going through their own gender dysphoria.
