1. If you're making an abused/neglected book, don't have them unnecessarily bring up the whole "I'm abused!" or "I've suffered more than you!" Excuse when it isn't needed for any unrelated situation. it just makes them pitiful if they're using that to get what they want at unnecessary times, especially to people they just met and random strangers. And actually have them show the psychological and mental effects of being through such horrible things at a young age. And for the love of monty Don't have MC forgive the people who tortured him in a few chapters, especially when they done very little to earn it.

2. Don't make your character an total edgelord, but don't make them a total saint either, so just make them grayish. And for don't add perverts and/or rapists unless it actually plays a part in the story or is relevant. Speaking of perverts, why does everyone hate them despite the fact that MC has a harem of like 4-30 girls? Wouldn't that make them a bit hypocritical?

3. Don't you fucking dare have ozpin to come out of nowhere and recruit him or have him be with ruby right before she went to beacon. Nearly every single fanfic I seen has done this, and it's annoying.

4. Don't victimize the faunus, look at how the white fang is doing their methods. Have them be a bit like how many faunus view humans, only without the racism. It's realistic if they do bad things just like what humans do. It'll be better if the MC's a faunus saying something like this. Also, why is there so much prejudice implied on faunus when it's hardly ever shown? There was a no faunus sign, cardin pulling velvets ears, Adam's face, and roman making a joke, but that's all that we ever really seen. Also, don't have the MC preach about faunus needing equal rights thinking he's martin Luther king or some shit unless we actually see the actual bad things that happen. The current show writers didn't care, so why should you?

5. If the MC's a faunus, don't make them a wolf, cat, fox, lion, snake, and other overused types. Why not make them hyena or a honey badger? Or even Any animal that's barely used? Also, why do I usually see faunus MCs with multiple traits without reason even though all faunus generally have 1 trait?

6. Don't give the MC multiple semblances. If i make one, I'd just put regeneration or healing and stick with that. Or electricity, it's so slept on that nobody realizes how overpowered it actually is. Just don't make the semblance too OP. Also how the semblance becomes one sometimes depends on one's soul or personality, and I seen a shit-ton of books where they don't even match up.

7. Don't make them have a shit-ton of weapons, It's hard to keep track. And certainly don't have them using primarily katanas that they got from the dollar store, or use a damn scythe! Please don't cramp up someone's style, so Why not an axe, spear, arm blades, and more i don't feel like listing?

8. Why is it the rose/xiao-long/branwen/belladonna family that's abusive? It makes way more sense if it was Mercury's or wiess' family. Wait while we're on this topic, I remember the ones where raven stayed, and then remember that she has to leave in order for ruby to exist since her leaving made Tai sad and summer banging him to make ruby. While that could be explained as the both raven and summer deciding to share, the writer doesn't bother to confirm it or do it properly.
