Poetry From The Mind
Genre: (Freestyle) Poetry
Summary: The mind can be a powerful thing and so can poetry. So when you put the two together you get poetry from the mind! Welcome to my world of poetry! ©2016
If you can't tell already Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite poet!
"What happened here upon this hollow ground
Was it once a blood splattered ground
A battle yet to be won
Was it once the formation of land where pilgrims lived?"
- From The Poem "Wonder"
+ Cover
It looks more related to art rather than to poetry but I do like he abstractness of it. Our minds are often a jumbled place and the cover represents it perfectly.
(I don't know what you wanted it to show but this is my interpretation of it)

A raw and honest title.

Never know what summary should poetry have anyways.

+ General
The best thing about poetry? Everyone has different interpretations of the words written. We are all different people and that biases our views as we read poetry. Thr fact that it is ambiguous only helps in that.
This is my first time reviewing poetry and I just noticed that the format I usually use won't fit in with this. So what I am going to do is comment on my favourite pieces of poetry in your story.
The Monster and the Girl
This is one of the pieces I liked. It speaks a lot about abusive relationships I feel. I have a habit of conjuring up stories from the poetries I read and that is what I interpreted.
A lady who is mentally and physically abused by someone she loves. She tried to escape and while she manages to pull away from him she can't move away from the depression that engulfs her. (That is what the last line means I think)
It is a beautiful one.
My Soldier
I like rel life scenarios depicted in various poems. Even the previous one was something that we see all around us today.
This particular piece pulled at my heartstrings.
Yes, the soldiers- the men- die and we feel bad for them. Moan about how they had such a long life ahead of them and how they died young. Nobody really considers the people left behind. The parents, the wives and the children. The people who would have to spend their whole life missing their son, husband and father. That is the saddest part.
(I have no shame admitting that I often watch videos of families being reunited)
These two are my favourite poems and the ones I would definitely recommend.
Your writing style is free as it can be seen without much rhyming scheme. At times it got really very irritating but there was a beauty in that too.
Good job!
+ Conclusion
I would encourage everyone to check out her poems even if my review didn't do her justice. I don't really know how to critique/ review poetry so check it out.
