Blood of Angels: MetaHumans

Genre: Sci-Fi, Action

Summary: Three kids were taken and submitted to torturous experiments. These experiments proved successful and the three kids evolved to something more. Something deemed unnatural yet powerful. With these newfound abilities they are forced to be soldiers.

Tai. He was the first successful MetaHuman. With abilities that allow him access anywhere and a charismatic attitude, he is naturally looked to as the de facto leader.

Aisha. She was the second MetaHuman. Her powers allow her to see something most people try to hide. Aisha is carefree in nature but with a personal connection to Gene Corp. , can she really be trusted?

Raphael. The third MetaHuman. Raphael's powers lend to his already angelic like presence. But with two very dark secrets, he is something more...something darker and more menacing.

They thought they were the only MetaHumans but with the arrival of three extremely powerful MetaHumans they are no longer alone.

Join them as they realize the world around them is in a constant battle between two forces considered to be nothing more than religion based beings with nearly Omnipotent powers

+ Cover:

Not a bad cover but not anything great either. I don't have any ideas on what kind of cover this sorry should have actually so I can't give you any suggestions.

+Title

I guess I haven't reached the part where the title of the story has an connection with the plot. I mean the part about Blood of Angels. Or doesn't it have any connection at all?

Rating: 7/10

+ Summary

Lengthy but that is required. It gives out a the basic information.

+ Plot

It isn't a totally unique plot but at the same time you can make it unique by twisting it into something different than the usual stories.

I found their powers to be very cliché if I am being honest.

Other than that, the plot is advancing quite nicely and it would be nice to see how you deviate from the cliché.

+ Characters

Tai: He is what we would call 'An angry young man' I don't like him. No, that is not your problem it is just something personal. I just don't like his personality types. This is a personal opinion of course. Hopefully he will grow as a person and as a character as the story progresses.

Aisha and Rapheal: She is a interesting character though you haven't gone deep with her or Rapheal. You are focusing too much on Tai and ignoring the other two characters. I understand that the story is told from Tai's point of view but there are different ways to show their personalities.

Reuben: Stereotypical villain. Not much of deviation from that.

Rating: 6/10

+ Chapters

Length: Fine.

Grammar: Mistakes in tenses. A few typos. Most of them I have pointed out in the inline comments so you can check those.

General:

The fight scene between Tai and Aisha isn't really necessary.

The scene where they escape seems to be very rushed. It wasn't bad but a little more attention to details would have been very much appreciated.

Phasing through objects, empathy, healing are all common powers. I guess there are only so many powers a person can have but it would have been great to see something different for once. But I am guessing that these powers should help them in a long run so I guess thats fine.

Something tells me that they aren't the only Meta-Humans out there. Oh wait, that was in the summary. For some reason, it reminds me of the movie 'The Island'- in that, clones of people exist just so that in case of any accident, these clones can be used to harvest the organs.

We haven't been told anything about the outside world in the initial chapters and I am guessing that is done on purpose. I actually didn't even think about how the world outside would be until they escape.

Anyways, the story is off to a kind of a mainstream start so if that isn't your intention then I would recommend you change it.

But I am still interested in knowing where this would go :)

+ Conclusion

Not a bad start for the story. Any Sci-Fi fanatic with a love for dystopia and super-hero kids will love this story.
