I mentioned one of my internet friends to my mom and she just interrupted me like "I think I know why you talk to strangers online. It's because you're afraid of talking to real people."
First of all...no. It's not because I'm afraid of talking to real people. It's because all the people around here are pieces of shit who don't give a duck about me and because none of these losers share any of my interests. In rural Nova Scotia all people care about is fucking sports and fucking cars, two things I don't give half a shit about. I talk to people on the internet because at least when I make a reference to something, they won't just brush me off with those stupid looks on their faces. I'm sorry if I can't make a conversation with somebody who just doesn't care okay?
