Head cannon: Kumajiro was a bear cub Canada found during a walk in the woods one day. He had been orphaned and, as a result, was blind and couldn't smell very well. This is why he is always asking who Canada is, because he can't actually tell.

I will be exploring this idea in my fan fiction which I'm thinking of naming "Maple Mafia"
